Trump's Leap to Fascism Comes Atop of Liberal-Woke Edifice, with Wokists Cushioning His Fall

When fascism comes here, Zionist Judenraete; fanatics aided
by woke liberals in the Universities and media will violate
liberties, and declare their power to prevent the lives of
anyone questioning anything, all in self-defense of course.
The ever widening gap between the government and
the people today casts suspicion on the people,
not Trump's government, in Trump's perverse view.
Free Mahmoud Khalil; Presidential Acts to Protect National Security Are Less Than Credible

Commentary

Madison, Wisconsin — Donald Trump is employing the machinery of government against Americans and permanent residents in State retribution for voicing thought at variance with purveyors of Genocide.

Trump's war against perceived wrong-thought annihilates sacred rights of American Due Process, the First Amendment, Fourth Amendment and cherished valuation of the individual.

His war is worse than the liberal establishment's odious lawfare, and malicious prosecutions launched against Trump by Democrats and liberal political opponents the last four years. It's worse than Democrat Censorship for which this party of parrots can never be forgiven.

Trump builds on liberals' ludicrous notions that truth and falsity of propositions are logically determined by how a proposition makes a reader or listener feel, and the related notion that someone's subjective feeling is equivalent to safety.

No great leap for Trump emulating the Biden-Harris administration determining expression of thought against Genocide is to be viewed with suspicion.

For example, since artist Roger Waters opposes fascism and Genocide in his art and music, Roger Waters must really be an anti-Semite, as determined by the U.S. State Department under Biden, (AP; Reuters).

That the U.S. State Department and Biden-Harris are perpetrators of Genocide is a fact that must go unacknowledged.

Consider as well the case of permanent U.S. resident and college student, Mahmoud Khalil.

As Krystal Ball notes in Breaking Points on the ideological framework of the Biden-Woke bunch employed by Trump today.

Once the pro-Palestine protests were portrayed by the liberal Biden administration as being effectively Hamas, it did not take a large leap to criminalize anyone who was affiliated with them, [pro-Palestine protests].
To throw Visa holders and permanent residents (such as Mahmoud Khalil) out of the country altogether for participating [in protests] or for even liking the wrong Tweet.

Mahmoud Khalil

Mahmoud Khalil is a graduate student at Columbia University School of International Affairs, a permanent U.S. resident, married to a U.S. citizen. Khalil is also a member of Columbia University Apartheid Divest, a coalition of student organizations objecting to Genocide against Palestine.

On March 8, Mahmoud Khalil was arrested in New York by agents of ICE, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. It's not clear what crime or immigration law Mr. Khalil is alleged to have violated, (New York Times).

His wife, Noor Abdalla, is eight-months pregnant and is due to give birth in April. She was threatened with arrest outside their apartment, though ICE has not followed up yet against her alleged crime(s), (St. Clair, CounterPunch).

ICE, which collectedly resembles a gang of sociopaths with badges, sports a webpage with a front page that three times invites readers to report and phone ICE, should readers see "suspicious activity." Further, the front page features a link to an ICE Tip Form, on which Americans can inform on all manner of suspicious people.

Accusations of fascism cry out from human rights workers, civil liberties organizations and writers at the outrageous arrest of Mahmoud Khalil, now slated to be heard in federal district court in New Jersey, (New York Times).

Congressional Democrats, ensconced in neocon foreign policy and well-versed in employing McCarthyite attacks against Trump after morphing into an anti-free speech Party, not surprisingly offer a muted defense of Mr. Khalil and his family.

Writes Yasmine El-Sabawi, in Middle East Eye:

When Michigan Congresswoman and Palestinian native Rashida Tlaib shared a letter to her social media account on Tuesday, [March 18], demanding that immigration authorities free Palestinian activist Mahmoud Khalil - a man never charged with a crime - it only contained 14 signatures.

For perspective, there are 220 Democrats in the House of Representatives, all of whom have been unabashedly vocal in their criticism of the Trump administration’s actions on a near-daily basis.

There are 45 Democrats in the Senate.

That the two major American political parties are united in committing Genocide and evisceration of foundational liberties of free expression and free speech in America ought be causing everyone's fascism detectors to be blinking red.

Mahmoud Khalil, dictating a letter to the Columbia Spectator, pens his determination to carry on this weekend. Writes Khalil:

In his last message to a world that betrayed him, the beloved Palestinian journalist Hossam Shabat said, I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.

So too do we believe that it is the highest honor of our lives to struggle for the cause of Palestinian liberation. The student movement will continue to carry the mantle of a free Palestine. History will redeem us, while those who were content to wait on the sidelines will be forever remembered for their silence.
I'm with Mr. Khalil.

Far worse than 1970s elites pronouncing an excess of democracy by the Peace and Civil Rights movements, today, liberal elites have declared there is no objective truth; and the American people must fight it out against themselves using their imposed subjective identities as shields and weapons.

If many deplore Trump for his fascism, (and rightfully so), wokists and Zionists should be counted among other perpetrators.

Millions Protest Trump; Cite Civil Liberties, Hate, Inequality, Environment

Nearly 100,000 protested Donald Trump at
a Madison Wisconsin rally on Jan 21 2017

Resistance as an Act of Faith in Democracy

The adminstration of Donald Trump faces hostile, popular and organized opposition arrayed against this new president holding to unwanted policies amid widespread personal revulsion.

Popular sentiment was displayed in some 600 Women Rallies for Rights events held one day after the inauguration on Saturday, (NYT), (Twitter).

Millions took to the streets across the world as Americans seek new paths of opposition to this right-wing figure who ran on a platform of hate, retaliation against political enemies, and anti-science postures causing anxiety over the future of democracy. Trump's approval rating, already at historical lows, has now plummeted to 32 percent.

The White House site now resembles a rightwing political campaign web-page, using the same language as the 2015-16 Trump campaign.

As Trump hands over control of the government to billionaires, corporations and open racists, the shock of the election of Trump has millions shaken in their faith of democracy, and the intelligence and decency of white America.

"Take Hitler and stick him on the funny page!"

WASHINGTON, D.C.—In 1978, there was a fairly big protest in Washington in favor of the passage of the Equal Rights Amendment. Janet Dunn came down from Connecticut. Her daughter Laurie came with her. The crowd was big. The Dunns were excited. The ERA, of course, never passed because what was then called The New Right mobilized against it primarily through an activist woman named Phyllis Schlafly. On Saturday, I caught up with Laurie and Janet Dunn, as well as Janet's son, Mitchell, in the middle of an immovable mass of humanity that filled a wide boulevard from building to building on either side. Mitchell was leading the way. Laurie was working from behind, asking people to make some sort of room for them. Janet was in a wheelchair. After all, she's 91-years-old now.

As we moved through the throng as a sort of small parade of our own—The Dunns picked up a few folks in their wake as they moved along, including me—Janet became something of a star. There would be room to move for a few dozen yards and then we would come up on one of the video screens carrying the speeches from the main stage at 3rd Street and Independence and the crowd would solidify again. And you'd hear Ashley Judd or Michael Moore or Debbie Wasserman Schultz—yeah, I couldn't believe it, either—for a few minutes and then Laurie and the rest of us would start politely asking the folks to make a hole and make it wide.

In 20th century America, it was a decades-long parlor game ruminating over the face of fascism in America, should it arrive. Fascism has always been here, but most of us have not noticed until it touches us personally.

Now, a fascist is in the White House and Americans are looking to their futures and they are determined, they are scared, and there is no stopping Americans working together against fascism.

Popular opinion has smashed the worst of presidents, the most destructive of wars, and the cruelest systems of injustice.

Fascism is ever busy, hate is a force never at rest.

The idea, the slander, that fascism and hate will prevail over liberty and love is belied by the multitudes who in the words of Bertrand Russell cast hope over fear. Trump as troller-in-chief wishes despair and hopelessness on America; such is the object of the fascist.

From Russell's Proposed Roads To Freedom - Socialism, Anarchism and Syndicalism, (1918, Cornwall Press, Inc, Cornwall New York), [Chapter VIII, The World As It Could Be Made]:

... Those whose lives are fruitful to themselves, to their friends, or to the world are inspired by hope and sustained by joy: they see in imagination the things that might be and the way in which they are to be brought into existence. In their private relations they are not pre-occupied with anxiety lest they should lose such affection and respect as they receive: they are engaged in giving affection and respect freely, and the reward comes of itself without their seeking. In their work they are not haunted by jealousy of competitors, but concerned with the actual matter that has to be done. In politics, they do not spend time and passion defending unjust privileges of their class or nation, but they aim at making the world as a whole happier, less cruel, less full of conflict between rival greeds, and more full of human beings whose growth has not been dwarfed and stunted by oppression.

A life lived in this spirit--the spirit that aims at creating rather than possessing--has a certain fundamental happiness, of which it cannot be wholly robbed by adverse circumstances. This is the way of life recommended in the Gospels, and by all the great teachers of the world. Those who have found it are freed from the tyranny of fear, since what they value most in their lives is not at the mercy of outside power. If all men could summon up the courage and the vision to live in this way in spite of obstacles and discouragement, there would be no need for the regeneration of the world to begin by political and economic reform: all that is needed in the way of reform would come automatically, without resistance, owing to the moral regeneration of individuals. But the teaching of Christ has been nominally accepted by the world for many centuries, and yet those who follow it are still persecuted as they were before the time of Constantine. Experience has proved that few are able to see through the apparent evils of an outcast's life to the inner joy that comes of faith and creative hope. If the domination of fear is to be overcome, it is not enough, as regards the mass of men, to preach courage and indifference to misfortune: it is necessary to remove the causes of fear, to make a good life no longer an unsuccessful one in a worldly sense, and to diminish the harm that can be inflicted upon those who are not wary in self- defense. ...

Fascist America Remains a Grave Danger, Giant Step Backwards Looms

Madison, Wisconsin—Fascism is here in the United States, and has been since our nation's birth.

In our country built upon slavery, social dominance, and enduring, widespread imbecilic conceptions of race, fascism is a defining feature of America, an exercise in domestic terror.

If you're a black person at, or past adolescence walking, driving, shopping or breathing, there remains an expectation of police harassment, perhaps prison, and death-by-cop is a distinct possibility. [Note to black readers: Avoid Fitchburg, Wisconsin, in Dane County.]

Carving out a career while advocating human rights risks jail time and death in America; ask colleagues and friends of the late Sandra Brand, driven to suicide by Texas police.

Occasional massacres and 1,000-plus annual police killings are the norm, not tragic anomalies, (Kantrowitz, Mal Contends). But as President* Donald Trump struts and fumbles about, fascism can become much worse, taking us back as the last 60 years have more-or-less seen forward strides in human rights.

So, when Trump makes sadistic public appeals as the chief executive, the terror that Trump strikes is a familiar experience to a lot of Americans.

It matters what a president says. It matters that Trump minimized the Holocaust in one of his first public statements.

This lunatic is dangerous and in virtually every policy sphere is a public menace.

Today, every American should be ready with a plan to support Robert Mueller.

America already is a police state in many municipalities with occupying forces politically aligned with Trump.

Consider what is the predictable reaction of Trump to a criminal indictment of any member of his family or Trump himself? A lunatic in the White House is capable of inflicting much damage to our country.

Democrats and proponents of the experiment that is America need to stand up for the values and standards that animate their popular movements.

This means actively supporting Robert Mueller. This means actively speaking against Roy Moore.

That means speaking up loudly against Republican efforts to repeal and replace the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, to pass a tax cut that will greatly benefit the wealthiest corporations and individuals, as a prelude to devastating Social Security and Medicare.

Democrats are not adept at getting their messages across to the American people.

Sure, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, and sometimes Joe Biden speak eloquently on the ideals that make America great.

But the messages of Steve Bannon and Donald Trump must resonant louder or at least hit more chords with a majority or Trump wouldn't be sitting in the Oval Office and Bannon would not be getting Republicans to support the child-molester, Roy Moore.

The lights are blinking red.

Racism and Sadism from the USA

Romare Beardon work on American lynchings
Targeting immigrant populations for imprisonment, expulsion and defamation is indecent.

This is precisely why Donald Trump's racist chief political advisor drafted the Muslim ban last week—as a means of appealing to white racists and discouraging minority populations from living free from fear.

Nothing sells like fascism to white racists.

When Republicans cheered for Trump to "lock her up" last year, they meant it. Republicans would like to imprison political opponents and minorities who have been and remain a problem in need of a lasting solution by a brave leader.

That this latest act of cowardice is sadism is a fact lost on most Americans ignoring the nature of the Republican enterprise. Inflicting punishment is a tenet of fascism.

See the text of "Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States," now removed from the White House website that has been turned into a propaganda site for Trump.

By Juan Cole

Picking on immigrants and refugees is the act of a sadistic bully, since they are the one fairly large group of residents of the United States whose constitutional rights are disputed. The executive order Trump signed late on Friday suspending entrance to the United States for citizens of seven countries and cancelling the US refugee program for four months is probably illegal. The 1965 immigration law forbids discriminating against immigrants on the basis of nationality. ...

The political goal of the order was to whip up anti-Muslim hatred. No immigrant from any of the seven countries Trump named has been guilty of terrorism on US soil in this century. ...

The executive orders signed this past week by Trump appear in the main to have been drafted by alt-Neo-Nazi Steve Bannon, the Rasputin of this administration. ...

In another in a series of coups, Trump on Saturday kicked the director of the Central Intelligence Agency, the Director of National Intelligence and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff off of the principals committee of the National Security Council. They will attend only when their expertise is required. He then appointed Bannon to that key body, which advises the president on national security issues. Knowledgeable intelligence and military leaders will therefore often not be in a position to contradict Bannon on the NSC, giving him enormous unchecked and unelected power (NSC staffers also don’t have to be confirmed by the Senate). NSC staffers have been known to ask the CIA to do illegal things like go after Americans on American soil, and I think we may expect a lot of that sort of thing in this administration. Bannon is the CEO of the far right extremist purveyor of fake news, Breitbart, today’s equivalent of the Völkischer Beobachter, the newspaper of the national socialist workers party in 1930s Germany.

The way Bannon crafted the executive order on immigrants that the pliant Trump eagerly signed was guaranteed to be a disaster. It would have been easy enough to say that the provisions would come into effect one month hence. Instead, the Immigration and Naturalization Service was instructed to apply its provisions immediately. This step caused some over 100 passengers to be arrested on arrival and put in holding cells at the airport on Saturday, even though they had a valid visa or green card (permanent residency). Thousands of persons with valid visas or green cards (permanent residency, the last step before citizenship) who happened to be abroad on Friday were effectively locked out of the country. These included nearly 200 Google employees caught abroad on Saturday, whom the company was trying to get back into the country.

One of the first to be arrested, at JFK, was Hameed Khalid Darweesh, an Iraqi who had served as an interpreter for the US army in Iraq. Despite Darweesh’s own patience with it all, that he was one of the first to be arrested gave the Trump-Bannon piece of fascism a further black eye. Darweesh’s vital work put his own life in profound danger and he helped avoid casualties among our troops. For him to be humiliated and handcuffed and reduced to tears spoke volumes about the true nature of the executive order.

Trump, Israel, White Racists, Blood Libel, Myths and Storms on the Horizon

Emboldened American racists feel free to act out and display
antipathy towards those with dark complexions. The crowd
at the Make America Great Again rally in Minnesota on
June 22, 2018 joined the president in jeering and outrage.
Photo by Tom Brenner, the New York Times
Updated - America's chief racist pulled the United States out of the United Nations Human Rights Council, a nemesis of the worst human rights abusers such as Israel, the United States and the Gulf monarchies. But pick a state outside of Scandinavia and it's not clear world history is bending towards human rights.

Trump's asinine act is preceded by world criticism of the latest Israeli border massacre and the Israeli blood sport of shooting the legs off of Palestinian teenagers for laughs. The withdrawal also follows Trump's expansion of caging children and families and the United Nations calls for human rights for refugees seeking asylum in America, (Richard Falk, New York Times).

Since Trump began campaigning for president in 2015, his anti-Semitic tropes and myriad blood libels against selected groups have repulsed the narrow majority of Americans who can still be counted in the company of the decent. But the blood libel is escalating, (Krugman, New York Times).

Paul Krugman is alarmed:

The speed of America’s moral descent under Donald Trump is breathtaking. In a matter of months we’ve gone from a nation that stood for life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to a nation that tears children from their parents and puts them in cages.

What’s almost equally remarkable about this plunge into barbarism is that it’s not a response to any actual problem. The mass influx of murderers and rapists that Trump talks about, the wave of crime committed by immigrants here (and, in his mind, refugees in Germany), are things that simply aren’t happening. They’re just sick fantasies being used to justify real atrocities.

And you know what this reminds me of? The history of anti-Semitism, a tale of prejudice fueled by myths and hoaxes that ended in genocide.

An open question is whether the logical extension of Trump's white supremacist blood libel — a Holocaust, a war — is on the horizons as Trump presents his evolving and incoherent warrant for genocide to American whites, Evangelicals, local municipal police and every Republican officeholder, all of whom comprise his base.

The former Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper warned this week Trump's new and still-strong "zero-tolerance" policy is harming America's "international image," (CNN).

It's a ridiculous statement by Clapper who discusses moral atrocities by accessing effectiveness in transmitting public relations messages. Trump's detractors in the intelligence community are perhaps not the most effective human rights activists.
---
Trump's public relations messages at some point will not be enough for his base that will quickly veer out of Trump's control. The mindless mania of Trumpists require feeding, a blood sugar-high with screams, dismemberment and tangible displays of cruelty. Trump, from his perspective, was wrong to halt the emission of images of suffering and cruelty. His people love it.

Evangelicals and cops take to social media with malice, relishing the assaults against a black athlete like Sterling Brown with seven squad cars full of racist Milwaukee Police for a parking ticket infraction. Brown has filed a federal civil rights action against the cops and the city of Milwaukee, (Mal Contends).

Trump knows the appetites of his base and he seems to be enjoying the resulting spectacle of chaos and dehumanization that he daily feeds our country.

This is not the time to be on the sidelines.

History may show the Summer of 2018 as one of the most consequential periods in the life of America.

Trump's unite-the-right project has targeted human beings for banishment, imprisonment and extermination, no less.

The capacity of decent people, people like Steve Schmidt, to speak out, to act is the margin of mitigation and is necessary for the reversal of Trump's Make America Great Again (MAGA) project.

MAGA fascists are like Trump, a fearful people. Blacks, Browns, Muslims, anything different from their limited experience and alien to their closed minds are feared.

Attempts to study human nature to explain the human susceptibility to fascism and authoritarian political movements are doomed. Psychology as a discipline has not advanced sufficiently to address the human condition.

Each individual mind must access the bellicose and malicious and the condition of others and make a decision on the relevancy of human suffering to one's life.

Consider the words of the British thinker, Bertrand Russell, on the objectives of a liberal education, an endeavor feared by Trumpists and MAGA minds of all stripes:

"... to give a sense of the value of things other than domination, to help create wise citizens of a free community, and through the combination of citizenship with liberty in individual creativeness to enable men [and all genders] to give to human life that splendor which some few have shown that it can achieve." (Russell, Power: A New Social Analysis (New York: W.W. Norton and Company, 1938) p.319. Cited in Chomsky, Problems of Knowledge and Freedom, The Russell Lectures - (delivered in 1971), (New York: Pantheon Books, Random House) Introduction).

For a movement like MAGA dedicated to conquest and demonization following the worst traditions of America, human splendor, creativeness and liberty are to be feared in all realms of the human condition.

Trump and Scott Walker — Collaboration in Shared Malice

Racism and malice connect Trump and Scott Walker.
Madison, Wisconsin—By background, Donald Trump and Scott Walker appear different people.

Rivals for the 2016 presidential nomination of the Republican Party, the Iowa caucuses sent the two pols in different directions—launching the campaign of the New York developer and aborting the run of the religious zealot.

Walker claimed he was "called away" by God in September 2015 after his poll numbers plunged and God reportedly told Walker to find a "positive conservative message" to oppose Trump.

God had anointed Walker just weeks earlier, reportedly telling Walker in July 2015 his "plan" is for Walker to run for president, though Walker was quickly revealed as a ridiculous figure (Mal Contends, Mal Contends, The Politico, New York Times).

God and politics change, and now Walker is a leading ally of Trump's.

What actually happened is Walker and Trump are pathological lightweights whose bizarre hatred of Wisconsin and United States citizens, particularly black and brown people, has forged the two in shared delusions of battle, valor and shining genius.

This madness would be disqualifying if the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (DPW), were running in 1950s-60s-70s mode, the DPW glory days.

Walker and Trump's alliance is forged in unhealthy lust, bordering on sadism, to injure and dominate disfavored agents and enemies identified by vocalized criticism of this fascistic movement, and an old-fashioned fascist movement is what this is. All the elements are blinking red: There's the white folk myth, agents of corruption and evil, cowardice, careerism and 1,000,000s of bystanders.

God had nothing to do with the rise and fall of Scott Walker and Donald Trump.

The partnership between Trump and Walker in shared malice is an alarming step in using political power and pubic policy as a means to inflict, imprison, even kill. Why Wisconsin Republicans have not sought to bring back the death penalty is a political mystery.

As movement architects, both Walker and Trump appear to revel in their own genius and boldness in implementing demonization and division to procure electoral and policy victories. Fascism in classical liberal societies is an old story but post-Citizens United, it takes no vision to see where we are headed.

Consider the white supremacist rally and murder in Charlottesville, and Trump's embrace of a serial child molester in Alabama, shameful acts that tell the story of who Trump and Walker are.

Notes Steve Schmidt this morning:

Scott Walker's conduct with respect to Charlottesville and the Roy Moore-child molestation saga show the two white supremacists' deep commitment to themselves replacing simple decency.

Charlottesville

In August 2016, Walker declined to criticize Trump for his surreal embrace of white supremacists in Charlottesville (The Capital Times).

"My comment on this is I denounce the bigotry and hatred and I’ll let the president and his team speak for him," said Walker, (Political Heat, Fox6Now-Milwaukee). Every Wisconsin newspaper and local TV station should have saturated the state with coverage of this outrage. But racism is part of Wisconsin's DNA, so this outrage was more-or-less expected.

Roy Moore

The year after Charlottesville, in Nov. 10, 2017, Walker defended sexual predator Roy Moore, saying allegations of child sexual assault are not credible, comparing women's complaints of assault with unfounded rumors that Walker had a "love child," (Wisconsin State Journal). Walker reversed himself three days later after widespread criticism.

Misogyny and tribalism explain the lack of outrage in the Walker-Roy Moore affair.

Scott Walker's support for Roy Moore's child molestation and Trump's Charlottesville shame explain why Walker avoids unscripted public appearances where he has to answer questions.

Wisconsin 2018

As a life-long Wisconsinite, I'm not sure if Scott Walker were to face the Wisconsin people in a grand public setting and then explicitly declare black and brown people as inferior and women as less than men, if this madness would knock Walker's support below 46 percent.

I just don't know, and but I do intend to keep fighting.

Oppose Trump by Understanding Idiots

Kathe Kollwitz—Mother and Dead Son

Meaning in the 2016 elections

Updated - The suggestion that white, Trump-voting Americans represent some salt-of-the-earth demographic demanding public policy reforms is ludicrous. White Americans are dumb and dangerous, and generic fascism is forever busy.

Trump appealed to white America because he made racist and idiotic appeals and pointed to culprits, (not the actual culprits but those to whom Trump assigned blame)—corporate America and the corrupt political system that only Trump can resist, its jobs-destroying mission implemented by Ivy Leaguers; those ass-hats from Malaysian and Indian call centers who frustrate real Americans while taking away American jobs; Jewish politically correct academics trying to tell you what to do; vote fraudsters cancelling your vote; and an assorted cast of elites, others and aliens who in some way on some day are coming after you to finish the job; a process begun by first frustrating and then ultimately killing you with Islamic terrorist reprisals against the gentle volk of America, ripped from the decent culture Trump will reinstall to make America great again. It has to come from here, the gut, and Trump has it.

That the above Trump riffs are incoherent nonsense is not important because Trumpians do not think in far-reaching political terms; Trumpians do not respect logic or empirical investigation. They feel and emote in the expiation drama Trump directs as a red-blooded, real and strong leader who simultaneously is one of us. Trump is the ultimate troll for many Americans for whom trolling offers empowerment.

Assorted Trumpians abound. In Milwaukee County the Sheriff's skin color can be overlooked as long as one David Clarke wears a cowboy hat proving Clarke is our African-American who don't take no shit from the liberals and Jews, lib-tards and know-it-all fuckers with no conception of manhood.

Republicans have been making appeals with nonsense for decades but Trump's failings as a human being and psychopath do make Trump an urgent threat. Trump will burn it all down because he is gallant and strong, and real Americans are the only way of building it back up anyway.

In opposition to the Trumpian state that fake libertarians now love is an appeal to humanity. Decency still sells, and exposing the indecent anti-rational is critical.

Dumb America is now less-thinking than any time in decades precisely because progress in decency has been made over the last 60 years. Yet Americans remain reachable through reason and through art.

Art history friends have long explained the power of Eugene Higgins (1874-1968), Ben Shahn (1898-1967), and Kathe Kollwitz (1867-1945). Consider why social realism and critical realism as art movements are vital to civilization. "Higgins was concerned about what was going on around him. He cared about helping people's lives by changing society," said Jackie Captain, a Wisconsin progressive who obtained a Master's degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, after doing work on Higgins and Ben Shahn with Jim Dennis.

People remain reachable through decency, art and reason. Trumpians are not metaphysical. Organize a little more, be creative in reaching the population, lead with your heart and never give up.

It's no coincidence Trump and the current band of Republipukes are targeting art, public education and civil rights.

Trump Shutdown Continues as White Supremacist-in-Chief Goes MIA

Hundreds of thousands marched against fascism across
America over the weekend, (Twitter).

White supremacist messaging accompanies the Trump shutdown

Updated - President* Trump looks like someone who hates football and got stuck at a Super Bowl party where he fails at hiding his contempt for the game beyond railing against non-whites he sees on TV.

America's leading white supremacist achieved his shutdown and his desired state of crisis.

Now, Trump and white supremacists charge those opposing government by racist spasm are complicit in murder for opposing Trump and the White Party, and our great military.

The stench of fascism is overwhelming. Every journalist should be rereading Norman Cohn and Milton Mayer.

The White House and its collaborators dished out racist messages over the weekend charging that more non-whites are pouring into our country to kill us as the abschaum, (anti-NAZIs), forces accumulate support among disloyal Americans.

But Trump would prefer not to engage beyond Tweeting; so he lets the openly racist and uber-nationalist Stephen Miller take point.

Reports NBC News this morning:

In the 56 hours and counting since the federal government has been shut down, President Trump hasn’t held a public event and isn’t scheduled to have one today. He hasn’t spoken with reporters or even left the White House. And he hasn’t been a real player in the negotiations to reopen the government.

Bottom line: Trump, who campaigned for the presidency on his deal-making skills, has been missing in action.

All Trump can do is emit words.

This lunatic cannot think on his feet and cannot hold coherent positions over time beyond racist hate.

So we have the White Party demonizing non-whites as most of the country looks on in disgust at Republicans' gutting anything serving the 99 percent.

Fascists, incompetents, and lunatics are running our country after creating the budgetary crisis.

Bernie Sanders, the leading voice in Congress against the Trump regime, offers words of wisdom that the White House staff likely cannot comprehend.

Trump Militerizing Federal Government; Liberal Zionism Is Dying of Absurdity and Immorality

Genocide and Fascism are Bipartisan Endeavors; Don't Be Fooled

Commentary

As the lunatic in the White House seeks in the machinery of federal government self-sustaining capacities to oppress anybody, starting at the Universities, most Americans see the danger of Trump substituting federal government with a de facto totalitarian dictatorship, (Ruth, Mondoweiss).

That's our domestic situation. We don't need a Reichstag Fire Decree now, as Democrats and Republicans have so grown the National Security State to such dimensions that any idiot occupying the presidency can manufacture a crisis and decree emergencies for any reason, and dismantle civil liberties.

As noted at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum:

The Reichstag Fire Decree permitted the regime to arrest and incarcerate political opponents without specific charge, to dissolve political organizations, and to confiscate private property.

The decree also gave the regime the authority to overrule state and local laws and overthrow state and local governments.
This sound a lot like the work of the Trump administration?

How about purging of faculty and students; undesirable academics and administrations; embrace of myth and pseudo-scientific nonsense; racial-religious myth; God wants Israel to commit Genocide and kill millions?

Trump in a sleight of hand has replaced Aryans with Zionists with the collaboration of major university administrations.

Trump emits lots of diversions and bellowing smoke, crediting himself a genius for doing so, but he wants Universities, government, media, immigrants and any American to fear and obey his fever dream of the moment.

The Universities and immigrants as agents of pure evil. That does sound familiar.

'The truth is what I say it is,' is Trump's internal mantra, though Democrats tried codifying a similarly crazed Ministry of Truth. See Paul Thacker, "Misinformation Scholarship Exposed as Liberal Activist Grift, Never forget the media sold us these chiselers as experts at truth, who then helped silence dissenting voices."

In foreign relations, Trump loves Israelis; loves the Israeli-committed Holocaust. Wanton infliction—such as IDF sniper target practice on starving children—and Israeli-Genocidal rhetoric are music to Trump's ears.

The attempted destruction of the Palestinian people is a personal crusade for Trump, and myriad administration Nazis such as Stephen Miller take vicarious joy as dozens of children are starved, maimed and shot daily.

Another Holocaust in the West Bank, Trump and Miller will celebrate.

In the U.S., Trump faces little opposition to his Genocidal dreams as the Democrat Party and Liberal Zionism are little more than unbearably narcissistic cowards.

Writes Jeffrey St. Clair: "[J Street, (flagship liberal Zionist lobby) head] Jeremy Ben-Ami writes that he now believes Israel is committing genocide in Gaza, but probably won't use the term in his writing because it brings HIM too much pain!"

Replies Zoltán Grossman: "Try this with your local police: 'Yes officer I saw the murder, but didn’t report it because one of my relatives was once murdered.'"

Ben-Ami is an embarrassing joke, a caricature of a man.

But liberal Zionism as a moral force is not sustainable, not any more.

Fascism Today

Hundreds marched for peace and children in Madison,
Wisconsin on August 26 2017. Marchers led by youth
questioned the necessity of police and criminals
shooting them, saying, "I want to live."

Madison, Wisconsin — At some future point in American intellectual life, racism will be recognized as a deranged condition, indexed in psychopathology and the political annals of lunacy.

Putting aside the inherent problems in the psychiatric field working by metaphor and abstraction, a belief in race is delusional and is a dangerous pathology.

The abiding belief in race and the anti-human behavior this delusion causes is not dysfunctional in American society.

The resurgence of American racism led by Donald Trump today builds upon the ideological ground on which America was founded: Genocide, social dominance, enslavement and terror. Trump is in a sense the logical inheritor of American racism.

It behooves the reader to consider the foundational aspects of deadly and torturous racism when one reads the daily ravings emitted from the White House, because oppression and control of ethnic minorities is as American as the military-industrial state.

On the up side, Paul Krugman has his swing back for some time now.

His piece in today's New York Times is a joy:

As sheriff of Maricopa County, Ariz., Joe Arpaio engaged in blatant racial discrimination. His officers systematically targeted Latinos, often arresting them on spurious charges and at least sometimes beating them up when they questioned those charges. Read the report from the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division, and prepare to be horrified.

Once Latinos were arrested, bad things happened to them. Many were sent to Tent City, which Arpaio himself proudly called a 'concentration camp,' where they lived under brutal conditions, with temperatures inside the tents sometimes rising to 145 degrees.

And when he received court orders to stop these practices, he simply ignored them, which led to his eventual conviction — after decades in office — for contempt of court. But he had friends in high places, indeed in the highest of places. We now know that Donald Trump tried to get the Justice Department to drop the case against Arpaio, a clear case of attempted obstruction of justice. And when that ploy failed, Trump, who had already suggested that Arpaio was 'convicted for doing his job,' pardoned him.

By the way, about 'doing his job,' it turns out that Arpaio’s officers were too busy rounding up brown-skinned people and investigating President Barack Obama’s birth certificate to do other things, like investigate cases of sexually abused children. Priorities!

Let’s call things by their proper names here. Arpaio is, of course, a white supremacist. But he’s more than that. There’s a word for political regimes that round up members of minority groups and send them to concentration camps, while rejecting the rule of law: What Arpaio brought to Maricopa, and what the president of the United States has just endorsed, was fascism, American style.

Fascism has been here for some time.

Trump just targeted elite sectors of American society positioned and inclined to fight back.

Video: Chris Hedges Warns Against Trump Fascism in Vancouver Talk from March 2017

'Warning sighs on road to tyranny'

Six weeks into the Trump administration last year, Chris Hedges spoke at an anti-Trump event in Vancouver, British Columbia, March 3, 2017.

Hedges warned about the prospect of militarized federal and local police "terrorizing and deporting" immigrants living in the United States, waging a "race war" against black and brown folks, more racial profiling, random police stops, wanton human rights violations and abandoning the common good.

All of which existed and have been accelerated by Trump in a broad project to make America white.

Said Hedges:
White Europeans who are undocumented are not being targeted. The executive orders of Trump are directed against people of color. They begin from the premise that white Americans are the true victims of neo-liberalism, deindustrialization, and falling living standards. The Trump orders are written not to make America great again. But to make America white.

They are an updated version of the NAZI's Nuremberg laws, the Jim Crow laws, the Chinese Exclusion Act and the Naturalization Act of 1870. They are intended to institutionalize an overt racial hierarchy in the United States, one already far advanced in the miniature police states where people of color live in marginal communities.

In these impoverished enclaves there is no right to trial or due process. Militarized police kill with impunity, and the courts lock people away often for life. Rights are treated as privileges that can instantly be revoked. The poor, especially poor people of color, are exempted from moral consideration. They are attacked as impediments to social cohesion. And these impediments must be eliminated.

Hedges warned about the cruel consequences of insane social movements finding an oasis in the Trump adminstration, welcoming the dispirited and politically alienated.

Sane Americans saw this coming, but too many did nothing.

New York Times Coverage of Trump Is Critical in Reporting Lies as Lies

American president reported as lying in the New York Times
this week in historic news column by Shear and Huetteman.

The New York Times offers news analyses this week following its decision to run the headline Donald Trump stated a "lie" for a piece by Michael D. Shear and Emmarie Huetteman on Trump's latest voter fraud falsehoods.

Notes the Times' Dan Barry:

Dean Baquet, the executive editor of The Times, said that he learned of Mr. Trump’s latest comments in a text message from an editor on Monday night. After consulting with other top editors, he decided that the use of 'lie' was warranted.

Presidents have been lying since George Washington so what gives at the Times vis a vis Trump?

What gives is Donald Trump is a dangerous malignant fascist, deranged and depraved, who threatens large swaths of the population. It's that straightforward.

Sure the Times should have reported on, with similar justifications, other dangerous liars in the past, but so what?

Trump is a psychopath who can inflict terrible damage, and the ridiculous conventions of American journalism inhibiting reporting on liars as liars can inflict dreadful costs on human beings.

The Wisconsin political culture presents a case study of what can happen when just about everyone plays dumb in the face of fascism.

Take a policy-averse population, a moribund Democratic Party, strident appeals to bigotry and a cowardly corporate press and a polity will produce a Scott Walker, or a Donald Trump.

Wisconsin will survive Scott Walker and the Republican racists' lost decade (2011-2019), but any thinking Wisconsinite will tell you the state has been shaken to its soul.

The New York Times, ever mindful of history, has decided it will not stand by and watch Trump's promised systemic harm of people and the destruction of reforming and humanizing institutions.

In that very notion of characterizing a presidential lie as a lie is a commitment to the truth and an abiding belief in the words of the great Madison newspaper journalist, William T. Evjue,"Give the people the truth and the freedom to discuss it and all will go well."

So the paper acted. Good for the Times.

Pro-Human Thinking Against White Supremacist Administrations

Otto Dix. The Wounded Man. Dix, (1891–1969) was an
anti-fascist, anti-war German artist whose work is known
for brutal depictions of the madness of war and oppression

Banding together against the toxic combination of belligerence and hate from white supremacists, Trump and Walker

The Trump adminstration is preying on people systemically and capriciously, partnering with the most anti-human, authoritarian forces of American society.

As Trump and Scott—"Divide and Conquer" families—Walker work against people, a nugget of wisdom comes from cj bakken in some 60 words:
Great idea. See also George Pyle, Salt Lake Tribune.

The Trump and Walker adminstration are clear and present dangers to our Republic and the state of Wisconsin.

Notes Charles Pierce commenting on the 2016 Republican presidential primary that featured Trump and Walker, both of whom were leading the Iowa primary at one point before Walker was "called" away by god and sub-one percent approval ratings in September 2015:

[A]lone among the crowd of candidates, Walker most clearly is running on his record of being a complete prick to the right people – which include teachers and nurses and the people who clean up after Alzheimer's patients in group homes. Running against the right people is a staple of all campaigns, right and left, but it's rarely as clear the raison d'etre of one as it is the raison d'etre of the Walker campaign. It is a toxic combination of belligerence and aggressive victimhood.

Innovative ideas in launching a United Front against fascism are critical.

Trump's Agents in Full Fascist Mode

A girl from Honduras, part of the migrant caravan
in Tijuana, Mexico, cries after US agents in California
deployed tear gas across the San Ysidro border,
(Reuters, via BBC).
Update: If you are a thinking human being, you owe it to yourself to read Richard Falk's analysis on Israel's ongoing human rights obscenity, from which Trump appears to take pointers on American fascism. Military and police units of the loyal state-friend of Trump shoot children, and Israel and assorted dopes emit the argument that criticizing violators of human rights implicates the critic.

Writes Falk:

In 2014 Noam Chomsky explained the false logic of such an allegation with typical moral and intellectual clarity: "Actually, the locus classicus, the best formulation of this, was by an ambassador to the United Nations, Abba Eban, […] He advised the American Jewish community that they had two tasks to perform. One task was to show that criticism of the policy, what he called anti-Zionism — that means actually criticisms of the policy of the state of Israel — were anti-Semitism. That’s the first task. Second task, if the criticism was made by Jews, their task was to show that it’s neurotic self-hatred, needs psychiatric treatment. Then he gave two examples of the latter category. One was I.F. Stone. The other was me. So, we have to be treated for our psychiatric disorders, and non-Jews have to be condemned for anti-Semitism, if they’re critical of the state of Israel. That’s understandable why Israeli propaganda would take this position. I don’t particularly blame Abba Eban for doing what ambassadors are sometimes supposed to do. But we ought to understand that there is no sensible charge. No sensible charge. There’s nothing to respond to. It’s not a form of anti-Semitism. It’s simply criticism of the criminal actions of a state, period."

Look for a similar line from the Trump administration soon: Those objecting to imprisonment, gassing and disappearing of children are the real culprits, perhaps to be dealt with by the state through means other than rhetoric.
---
What human garbage Trump is.

The white supremacist administration is gassing children across the US-Mexican border, following its program of state-kidnapping and disappearing of children implemented last Spring.

Trump administration announced earlier this year imprisonment and forced separation of children from parents are deterrents intended to discourage asylum seekers fleeing carnage in central America.

It is clear that brutality against brown children is an objective in itself apart from other stated aims.

The deployment of the military on the US-Mexican border is also another objective apart from any stated mission.

Parallels exist in rightwing Israel where Israeli border troops shoot off the legs of Palestinian teenagers in its shoot-to-maim policy, (The Independent, Washington Post).

Meanwhile, rightwing violence is on the rise in the domestic United States, (Washington Post).

Trump Preached Hate, Now Forces of Hate are Loosed

Donald Trump smirks at the hate he has used and
inflamed, as decent Republicans such as
Richard Painter condemn the resulting "fascism."

"Let us face the facts. This is a harvest. It is the crop of things sown."

— Ralph McGill, Atlanta Constitution, Oct. 13, 1958. A Church, A School

---
Donald Trump and his Make-America-Great-Again movement got one thing right about the Charlottesville terror-fest they have wrought, responsible for three deaths and dozens sent to the hospital, (New York Times): White Supremacist terror has been going on for a long time in our country.

Trump should know about terror. The Alt Right is a critical part of the Trump adminstration, so any direct condemnation of the white supremacists would be ironic.

Trump has used white supremacist hate for years, inflamed hate, and then congratulated himself on his targeted political-marketing perspicuity.

The White House Charlottesville statement's appeasing equivocation and minimization should signal where America is headed: A bombing of a Mosque in Minnesota, hate murder in Portland, too much hate to list and quantify.

"It is not possible to preach lawlessness and restrict it," warned the southern civil rights writer, Ralph McGill, in 1958.

But that was a different era, and in the words of our friend, Mikey Weinstein, "it's far worse" today (Mal Contends). Weinstein's words were in 2008.

Today, the unite-the-right rally with White House flacking should send the message that the forces of hate are loosed.

Vote for the Liar, Cheat and Whore Against Fascism

Update: 12.25.2018: Approaching the second year of Donald Trump whom Hillary Clinton bequeathed to America. Thank you for that, Hillary Clinton.
 ---
Across America there is apprehension about Hillary Clinton's weak candidacy against Donald Trump at the beginning of the 2016 Democratic National Convention, (CommonDreams).

Will Trump be defeated at the polls?

—'I sure hope so, I don't know,' is the most common and thoughtful response among political junkies in Dane County Wisconsin whom I have canvassed.

To be sure Hillary Clinton is a miserable, lying corporate whore, one whom this site is endorsing.

The X factor in the 2016 presidential election is what Chris Matthews calls the Scranton to Oshkosh vote: The heavily white, working-class and stupid vote.

Michael Moore calls it the Pittsburgh to Green Bay vote.

Magical, partial to mythical reenactments and beer, the white working class has a more authentically libertarian and less racist cousin in the rural American South.

With him, with her
This demographic is home to the permanent fascist base of American culture.

It gives beer a bad name, and its mindlessness is a defamation of democracy.

The white working class will decide whether Donald Trump is elected president.

Trump is Trump.

No decent American should vote for the slime.
