Madison, Wisconsin — Gov. Scott Walker (R) broke his 2014 campaign vow to serve four years if elected because God later told Walker to instead seek the Republican Party nomination for the presidency, Walker claimed, (Mal Contends, Mal Contends, The Politico, New York Times). Walker lied.

In January 2015, Walker laughed at suggestions he was seeking the presidency, saying, "We'll see about what God's calling is for the future," (Opoien, Capital Times). Walker lied.

God had presidential plans for the evangelical, (AmericaBlog), but god revised Operation President Walker in September 2015, and "called away" the Wisconsin pol from the campaign to instead help a "positive conservative message" rise up and oppose Trump, Walker claimed, (DemoCurmudgeon).

In 2006, god had also called on Walker to first run for, and then get out of the race for governor, (Walsh, Salon).

This is either terrible Scott Walker project management by god or just another lie by Scott Walker.

In any event the corporate media failed to accurately report this religious-inspired nonsense.

This divine malpractice does point to a solution of Wisconsin's Scott Walker problem as he seeks another term as Wisconsin governor in 2018.

The corporate media should drop its taboo from reporting on and analyzing the crazed mania and delusion known as religious fundamentalism, especially when the whacked-out madness is assumed by this most dishonest of politicians.

No matter how fervently a candidate such as Scott Walker insists he gets political and policy marching orders from god, the taboo in conventional journalism remains: Stay away from a candidate's self-proclaimed religion.

This taboo is in defiance of reason and contributes to the most corrupt, cynical, deceitful and destructive politician in Wisconsin history getting a free ride.

Now, Scott Walker has become Trump's faithful servant, and nothing from creating baby jails to bad-mouthing Harley-Davidson to defending neoNAZIs will deter Walker from praising and obeying Donald Trump.

Walker's every decision in life — whom to marry, elected office, dropping "bomb(s)" — is made through the process of Scott Walker hearing and obeying god, (Rothschild, The Progressive), Walker has long insisted.

Walker has targeted political enemies as governor in a manner so vicious and deceitful that every organ of public affairs should be sharp-shooting Walker's decision-making. But Walker hides behind god, and corporate journalistic convention as much as the state patrol and the capitol police, as he actually targets segments of the population.

Running against the right people is a staple of all campaigns, right and left, but it's rarely as clear the raison d'etre of one as it is the raison d'etre of the Walker campaign. It is a toxic combination of belligerence and aggressive victimhood. You have to go all the way back to the George Wallace campaigns of 1968 and 1972 to find one that is so clearly defined by the people whose political power it wants to crush.

The corporate press has failed Wisconsin as it refuses to hold Walker accountable for his evangelical nonsense driving his malicious politics.

As Walker seeks his third term for governor, it's past time to report on this lying, malignant fundamentalist hack for what he is.

Anything less invites Walker's reelection. As a 54-year resident of Wisconsin, I do not believe we as a state can recover from another Walker term.

Trump and Scott Walker — Collaboration in Shared Malice

Racism and malice connect Trump and Scott Walker.

Madison, Wisconsin—By background, Donald Trump and Scott Walker appear different people.

Rivals for the 2016 presidential nomination of the Republican Party, the Iowa caucuses sent the two pols in different directions—launching the campaign of the New York developer and aborting the run of the religious zealot.

Walker claimed he was "called away" by God in September 2015 after his poll numbers plunged and God reportedly told Walker to find a "positive conservative message" to oppose Trump.

God had anointed Walker just weeks earlier, reportedly telling Walker in July 2015 his "plan" is for Walker to run for president, though Walker was quickly revealed as a ridiculous figure (Mal Contends, Mal Contends, The Politico, New York Times).

God and politics change, and now Walker is a leading ally of Trump's.

What actually happened is Walker and Trump are pathological lightweights whose bizarre hatred of Wisconsin and United States citizens, particularly black and brown people, has forged the two in shared delusions of battle, valor and shining genius.

This madness would be disqualifying if the Democratic Party of Wisconsin (DPW), were running in 1950s-60s-70s mode, the DPW glory days.

Walker and Trump's alliance is forged in unhealthy lust, bordering on sadism, to injure and dominate disfavored agents and enemies identified by vocalized criticism of this fascistic movement, and an old-fashioned fascist movement is what this is. All the elements are blinking red: There's the white folk myth, agents of corruption and evil, cowardice, careerism and 1,000,000s of bystanders.

God had nothing to do with the rise and fall of Scott Walker and Donald Trump.

The partnership between Trump and Walker in shared malice is an alarming step in using political power and pubic policy as a means to inflict, imprison, even kill. Why Wisconsin Republicans have not sought to bring back the death penalty is a political mystery.

As movement architects, both Walker and Trump appear to revel in their own genius and boldness in implementing demonization and division to procure electoral and policy victories. Fascism in classical liberal societies is an old story but post-Citizens United, it takes no vision to see where we are headed.

Consider the white supremacist rally and murder in Charlottesville, and Trump's embrace of a serial child molester in Alabama, shameful acts that tell the story of who Trump and Walker are.

Scott Walker's conduct with respect to Charlottesville and the Roy Moore-child molestation saga show the two white supremacists' deep commitment to themselves replacing simple decency.

In August 2016, Walker declined to criticize Trump for his surreal embrace of white supremacists in Charlottesville (The Capital Times).

"My comment on this is I denounce the bigotry and hatred and I’ll let the president and his team speak for him," said Walker, (Political Heat, Fox6Now-Milwaukee). Every Wisconsin newspaper and local TV station should have saturated the state with coverage of this outrage. But racism is part of Wisconsin's DNA, so this outrage was more-or-less expected.

Roy Moore

The year after Charlottesville, in Nov. 10, 2017, Walker defended sexual predator Roy Moore, saying allegations of child sexual assault are not credible, comparing women's complaints of assault with unfounded rumors that Walker had a "love child," (Wisconsin State Journal). Walker reversed himself three days later after widespread criticism.

Wisconsin 2018

As a life-long Wisconsinite, I'm not sure if Scott Walker were to face the Wisconsin people in a grand public setting and then explicitly declare black and brown people as inferior and women as less than men, if this madness would knock Walker's support below 46 percent.

I just don't know, and but I do intend to keep fighting.

Reports: Scott Walker Is Destroying the Middle Class

Even as Scott Walker and the Republicans attack transparent government and promote dark money, new reports demonstrate the evisceration of the middle class in Wisconsin under Republican rule.

Just think Scott Walker actually believed he was "called" to bring to the nation what he has inflicted onto Wisconsin.

It was widely predicted last spring Walker was a lightweight who could not handle a presidential primary campaign.

The only question now is whether Walker's wreckage of Wisconsin's middle class was done purposely or accomplished by Walker's incompetence.

From Joel Rogers in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel: "According to a recent report from the Pew Research Center, Wisconsin now leads the nation in destroying its middle class. Defining 'middle-class households' as those with income 67% to 200% of their state's median, Pew showed Wisconsin leading all other states in the 2000-2013 period in its rate of loss. The finding is shocking, but probably not news to anyone who's been watching Wisconsin trends in wages, jobs and income. As COWS, a think tank based in Madison, has consistently shown in its annual State of Working Wisconsin, wages have been stagnant, job growth anemic and income has been declining for a long time."

Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel columnist, Dan Bice, wrote in April 2013 that Scott Walker is not an "ideas guy," suggesting someone as error-prone as Walker who can't think on his feet "could earn him the distinction of being the Gov. Walker's attempt to answer (and mostly avoid) fundamental public policy questions doomed his campaign making Walker's bosses, the moneyed special interests from whom Walker takes orders, nervous they backed the wrong sock puppet.

The piece in The Politco also puts the lie to Walker's BS that God called him to quit, as Walker claimed yesterday. This may be obvious to most, but reveals much about Walker's lack of character.

Even now, Walker neglects to tell his supporters on his website why he quit. Class act. Worse, pathological.

Craig Gilbert in the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel ponders what caused the sudden implosion of Scott Walker's run for the presidency in light of the favorable ratings Walker has among GOP voters in his policy positions.

Gilbert has been around and knows the campaign game, and what's odd is why he doesn't see the obvious cause of Walker's demise.

Republican and Tea Party voters are concerned that were Scott Walker the presidential nominee for the Party, Walker would be at the top of the ticket, he would be humiliated and risk a landslide in November 2016.

Scott Walker—Rumors of Campaign Turmoil Amid Demise in Polls

Scott Walker's campaign chair, Rick Wiley, will be let go from the campaign because of top donor dissatisfaction with Walker's meltdown, and some donors are circulating an anonymous letter of condemnation alleging some unconfirmed misconduct on the part of Wiley, according to reports. (RedState) (Buzzfeed)

Wiley denies the reports on all counts (Opoien, The Capital Times).

Erick Erickson of RedState, a rightwing journal, runs a story on his site saying Wiley is on the way out, and "a lot more turmoil is on the horizon," and stands by his story.

The influential conservative talk radio host and blogger Erick Erickson appeared to allude to the whisper campaign [about Wiley] Thursday on Twitter: 'Lots of different people all sending me the same rumor about a particular campaign manager caught indecently at the Ohio debate.'

Sleazy way to treat a strategist and Walker loyalist whom Walker hired less than two months ago.

One wonders if Walker will stick up for Wiley and make a statement that any donors trash-talking Wiley can leave the campaign.

Scott Walker—Kill Anything Republicans Don't Control

Scott Walker turned civil service state positions into 37 new Walker political appointees just a month after declaring, "we're broke" in 2011 (Stein, Marley, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel).

It was clear then, Walker was after power and nothing else.

Scott Walker's political set-up in 2011 was a fraud, claiming a deficit using budget numbers assuming every governmental agency gets a six-point increase. Never has happened and never will.

As then (now U.S. Rep.) State Rep. Mark Pocan (D-Madison) blew the whistle in 2011:

We found out [Feb. 13, 2011] after our briefing with the non-partisan Legislative Fiscal Bureau (LFB), the $3.6 billion deficit in the next budget that Governor Walker and the media has been repeating is a MANUFACTURED CRISIS. The number is based on $3.9 billion in new spending requests by agencies, a 6.2% increase. I don’t think there is a member in the legislature that would vote for that. In fact, I asked LFB Director Lang when was the last time we gave agencies exactly what they requested and was told he couldn’t think of one and he’s been here decades.

Independent agencies like the Fiscal Bureau work to keep politicians honest, ideally to inform.

Walker and Republicans had to misrepresent LFB budget numbers and make believe Walker's attempt to injure working families was a fiscal and not a political move, a technique Republicans employ today.

Occasionally Republicans get caught in their lies.

So, Walker and Republicans are targeting independent watchdog agencies, while blowing a budgetary deficit for the next governor to fix.

Nationally, House Republicans adopted a rule in January 2015 to invent budget numbers and imaginary revenue forecasts used by the Congressional Office Bureau, codifying Voodoo Economics (Weisman, New York Times).

Writes Pierce on Walker's attempt to eliminate the Legislative Audit Bureau and Government Accountability Board:

In other words, the problem with independent watchdogs is that they are independent. Far better to put the oversight function under the control of the hacks you've installed in the state agencies. This is especially egregious in this case because Scott Walker never has held a political office that he has not so deformed by his political ambitions that people actually went to jail over it. This is a singularly corrupt man, even by the standards of the our new era of decriminalized influence peddling. He never has run a campaign in his life that wasn't shot through with penny-ante grifting. There is no reason to believe this one is any different. It is an extended exercise in consumer fraud.

Fraud and lies define Scott Walker.

It did not take long for Scott Walker to get up and lying today.

Appearing from Detroit on the Morning Joe program, Walker offered his own version of the legislative history of ObamaCare.

After first explaining his campaign meltdown as mere "shaking things up," Walker paid homage to dear leader Ronald Reagan and other Republican nostrums, before answering other questions.

"Democrats used 51 votes to pass ObamaCare," said Walker dodging a question asking if
Walker's supporting congressional Republicans' threats to close down the government if Congress does not defund Planned Parenthood.

Walker's point was not responsive, and is factually incorrect, another Walker lie.

Reality Land 

In reality land where the bold Wisconsin governor rarely visits, on December 24, 2009 the U.S. Senate passed ObamaCare (the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA)) 60-39 with one senator, (Jim Bunning (R-Kentucky)), not voting (New York Times). See also Library of Congress legislative history.

The ACA is also one of the most marked-up and deliberated pieces of legislation to ever pass Congress.

The 60 votes were necessary to stave off a Republican filibuster, in which only 41 votes dictated the fate of legislation.

The Democratic-led bill also included many Republican amendments and requested changes.

"The Senate's Health, Education, Labor and Pensions Committee passe[d] The Affordable Health Choices Act [on July 15, 2009). The bipartisan bill includes more than 160 Republican amendments accepted during the month-long mark-up, one of the longest in congressional history," notes Emily Smith at CNN.

ObamaCare would have included the public option, defeated in the Senate Finance Committee in September 2009 after two Democratic senators who took massive donations from the health insurance industry defected and voted against the public option. (Pear and Calmes, NYT)

Sen. Joe Lieberman like Scott Walker, heavily supported by money from the health insurance industry, promised to filibuster any legislation with a public option that made it to the senate floor. (ThinkProgess)

After Senate Republicans refused an up-or-down vote on this historic legislation, Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nevada) acted.

In 2009, Senate Republicans plotted to obstruct not just health care reform, but any piece of legislation that would have helped the American people, the Republican rationale being if anything helped people, it could also politically benefit Obama. No one could reason with Republicans sabotaging America for political gain.

"In a letter to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Majority Leader Harry Reid says Democrats will use 'reconciliation,' needing only 51 votes, to pass the health care bill," notes Smith at CNN.

Again, to emphasize, the 60 votes were necessary to stave off a Republican filibuster, in which only 41 votes dictated the fate of the legislation.

The preeminent social historian of American medical care, Paul Starr, calls the ACA a "stunning historical achievement and the most important liberal reform since the 1960s." (Mal Contends)

ObameCare was signed into law by President Obama on March 23, 2010.

Shortly after, Donald Trump took a look at Walker and said, "When the folks of Iowa found out the true facts of the job that you’ve done in Wisconsin, all of the sudden you’ve tubed. He was number one now he’s number six or seven in the polls. Look, we brought it out. You were supposed to make a billion dollars in the state. You’ve lost two point two ($ Billion). You have right now a huge budget deficit. That’s not a Democratic point. That’s a fact, and when the people of Iowa found that out, I went to number one, and you went down." (Easley, Politicususa)

Walker went on to demonstrate his condition as a pathological liar, assuring the debate audience that in Wisconsin he stands up for "working families, family farmers, small business owners and senior citizens."

Walker has specifically targeted the living and prevailing wages and benefits of working families, promoted industrial CAFO-factory farms over family farmers, used a state agency to reward campaign donors over small business and went after the popular SeniorCare, Family Care and IRIS Care.

Scott Walker Cannot Help Self-Aggrandizement

'If you’re asking whether the idea for Occupy Wall Street emerged out of the Madison protests, the answer is no'

Updated - Scott Walker's lack of aptitude for the presidency is becoming apparent, another defining characteristic of Scott Walker is his self-aggrandizement.

Walker's public statements reveal both a pathological capacity to lie and a delusional self reverence as a historical American figure.

White Republicans voters love the stories Walker tells, though Walker's authenticity is now under question as the Des Moines Register news coverage tries to keep Walker's wavering campaign afloat.

Conventions of political journalism constrain corporate reporters from writing the obvious: Walker is a sock-puppet for billionaires, and he does what is told.

Another Scott Walker Lie Debunked 

This morning, the Washington Post is out with another debunking of an oft-repeated Walker lie: "The Occupy Movement didn’t start in Washington, didn’t start in Wall Street, it started in my capitol," said Walker.

One is compelled to note that the Wisconsin State Capitol is the center of Wisconsin civic discourse to which all of the Wisconsin citizenry has claim and the capitol is not Walker's, a fact the Walker administration tried to erase from history during the First Amendment federal case, Kissick vs. Huebsch and Erwin, which Walker lost (Mal Contends).

Walker offers variations of his assertion, including in his memoir written by Marc Thiessen, though Walker claims co-authorship. In the memoir, Walker asserts: "The [budget] hearing would soon claim a more ignominious place in history — as the moment that gave birth to the ‘Occupy’ movement." (Lee, Washington Post)

Walker hates Americans assembling and expressing what they believe they should to with their country, hence the word "ignominious" that Thiessen uses.

Walker says the sneak attack, the "bomb," Walker dropped on Wisconsin gave rise to the national movement, Occupy Wall Street which challenges the massive wealth inequality of American society, and the unsustainability of a consumerist, low-wage society.

Walker refers specifically to the February 15-16, 2011 Joint Finance Committee hearings on Walker's 'Budget Repair Bill" as the birth and start of the Occupy Movement, a falsehood (Davidoff, Isthmus) (Ballotpedia, Timeline of Wisconsin Act 10, the "Scott Walker Budget Repair Bill" (2011)).

In fact, the Occupy Movement traces its roots to December 2010 and the earlier public stirrings of the Arab Spring, and Occupy and affinity groups were running material contemporaneously on the Net as represented by Ad Busters' Feb. 2, 2011 call for A Million Man March on Wall Street.

"The mass protests that have erupted in Cairo's Midan Tahrir square, and are close to toppling Mubarak's regime, were orchestrated by a handful of Internet-savvy organizers known as the [April 6 [2008 Youth Movement]," writes Kono Matsu in Ad Busters, just three years after Wall Street nearly crashed the world economy in a global economic crisis not seen since the Great Depression.

Writes Michelle Ye Hee Lee in the Post:

Occupy Wall Street was inspired by uprisings around the world, particularly the Arab Spring and the populist protest Acampada in Spain [begun in 2008-09], and its international roots helped spawn global spinoffs of Occupy Wall Street, White said.

'It is a difficult question that ultimately comes down to a matter of perspective on history. There are many different origin stories for Occupy. It is true that the Madison protests preceded Occupy. And there were other protests, too, that preceded Occupy. For example, ‘Bloombergville’ in NYC. Early 2011 was a period of sustained global unrest,' said [Micah White, a major figure with Occupy Wall Street]. 'However, if you’re asking whether the idea for Occupy Wall Street emerged out of the Madison protests, the answer is no.' 

Facts and analysis are not Scott Walker's long suit, nor is history, what Walker calls "past hypotheticals."

Lying and delusion remain the defining characteristics of the man not-intelligent-enough-for-even-the-Republican Party.
