Wisconsin, Race and Election Time

Sauk County Wisconsin is pictured above. I love Sauk County,
and it's only real sin is not voting for neo-lib, corporatist
Democrats enough to assuage corporate media.
Madison, Wisconsin — Reporting from Baraboo, (Sauk County), Dionne Searcey has a fine piece on racism, rural Wisconsin and the 2024 elections in the New York Times this morning.

"No Politics and No Religion," read prominent notes in the Square Tavern in Baraboo (Facebook), reports Searcey.

Topics leave too many bad feelings; like hitting on a man's girlfriend, or drinking someone's beer.

The problem with Ms. Searcey's reporting, like every corporate-liberal politicos', is a fundamentalist embrace of identity politics and the Standard Social Scientific Model of human nature that is almost Skinnerean-Behaviorist in its hidebound smugness.

Identity politics are what the progressive heretic, Matt Taibbi, derides as dogma that human beings are the walking "embodiment" of every contrived aspect of their identity, as imposed by the liberal priests of academia, corporate media and the Democratic Party.

You think you know who you are, readers? No. You are what the liberal elites say you are. Forget your character, it's your skin color.

Identity politics, as nonsensical as it is, serves a purpose. It's a cover for the Democratic Party's embrace of war (and Genocide), and long-term abandonment of the working class. And this does cause resentment.

Searcey touches on this:

Jerry Helmer, the Sauk County Republican Party chairman, said what voters in Sauk County are worried about is the economy, and they think Democratic elites such as Ms. Harris do not care about the middle class. 'I hear more and more that nobody knows what her policies are,' said Mr. Helmer, who lives outside Baraboo in Prairie du Sac and is a candidate for the state legislature. 'She comes off like a ditz.'
Mr. Helmer is right on all counts. But his brand of heresy is heard as imprecation by today's Democratic Party elites.

And when Helmer and Wisconsin, deliver Wisconsin to Donald Trump, identity politics will be a big factor; along with that whole Genocide thing that elected Democrats pretend is not happening.

The Progressive: Fucking Garbage, Piece of Shit Pig, Socialist, Tyrant, Woman, Say Callers to Wisc Supreme Court Judge Who Noted Racism in Trump Election Case

Madison, Wisconsin — Invective and hysteria describe several phone messages left to a Wisconsin Supreme Court justice following her characterization of a Trump campaign lawsuit as "racist," "shameful" and "un-American" in Dec 12 oral arguments.

The case, decided on Dec 14 against Trump's attempt to overturn the Wisconsin election, is: 2020AP2038 Donald J. Trump, Michael R. Pence and Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.,Plaintiffs-Appellants,v. Joseph R. Biden, Kamala D. Harris, Milwaukee County Clerk c/o George L. Christenson, Milwaukee County Board of Canvassers c/o Tim Posnanski, Wisconsin Elections Commission, Ann S. Jacobs, Dane County Clerk c/o Scott McDonell and Dane County Board of Canvassers c/o Alan Arnsten,

In recordings obtained by Bill Lueders, editor of the The Progressive Magazine, through an open records request, voicemails message left for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Jill Karofsky are sometimes hysterical and hostile, accusing the "socialist tyrant bitch" judge of protecting voter fraud, among other imagined crimes.

The Republican Party has become openly racist for the last several decades, and now works against the rights of minorities in policy, the judiciary and political rhetoric.

Writes Lueders:

In the days following her astringent questioning and subsequent vote against an effort by President Donald Trump to subvert the will of the electorate by tossing out hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin votes, state Supreme Court Justice Jill Karofsky has received a flurry of angry voicemail messages on her official court phone line.

'You got a lot of guts,' one caller stated, as recorded in an MP3 file released Wednesday [Dec 16] to The Progressive in response to an open records request. 'You refer to Trump as a king? Yet you are the tyrant bitch. You are the tyrant bitch who allows cheating and fraud to put a socialist puppet of China in the White House. Trump is not a king. Trump is a President legally elected by the people, not the fraud you allow, you fucking bitch. You’re the socialist tyrant bitch. Trump is an American patriot. And you’re fucking garbage, you fucking piece of shit pig.'
The racist Trump campaign has been virtually shut out in the judiciary, and President Biden-elect Biden will assume office on Jan 20, 2021.

Trump Escalates Republican War Against Voting in Cuckoo Recount Effort

Jacob Lawrence - from the Migration Series (1940–41)
Updated - Madison, Wisconsin — In modern America, the Republican Party's war against voters is waged as a full-spectrum assault against liberty, accelerating in the last ten years.

Destroying black and brown lives, stripping human beings of dignity and liberty, have long been sport for white folks here. But Republicans have escalated  systemic destruction of the foundational right to cast votes (see Article III, Wisconsin Constitution; Ballotpedia).

Trump's new effort to ultimately convince courts to declare that 100,000s of voters' ballots are illegal is the latest of this anti-human project.

Trump's campaign gives County Canvassing Boards names of disfavored voters and says, throw out these ballots.

Extreme action for certain, but business as usual in a broader sense.

I worked as a Wisconsin election inspector (poll worker), for some 60 shifts between 1998 and 2016.

It used to be funny — because it was pathetic — to witness the sudden chill in the room, uncomfortable shifting in chairs, worried expressions of white poll workers morphing into grimaces bordering on disbelief as young black men entered the polling place in the morning shift at the old Fire Station Number Two in Fitchburg, Wisconsin (Alder Dist One).

Well, who can blame the white folks?

You should have seen the voters' black hair, dark-brown skin, often adorned in golden jewelry and tight dark tee-shirts of I don't know what. You know what they do, who they are.

And our white votes get cancelled out by these guys?

It's the way it is.

White poll workers and the Fitchburg City Clerk's office were not amused by black folks. In fact, they were hostile to anyone who reported Fitchburg racism. I know. [By the way, anecdotal reports from the 2020 presidential general elections indicate the voting experience is getting better now.]

This is Wisconsin, so it may surprise readers what one becomes inured to, but from a first-person stand-point, I can say I tried to alert the political world about Fitchburg. See also Kaleem Caire, president and CEO of One City Learning Centers, and his experience with Fitchburg.

Nothing surprises me here.

Trump's latest absurd forays into obliterating swaths of voters can be seen as a continuation of white efforts to troll black and brown folks, ongoing Republican work to transform election law to stop non-Republican voters and a heightened operation against entire jurisdictions such as Dane County and Milwaukee County. (See Beck, Glauber and Marley, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, Nichols, The Capital Times).

In 2016, in the voting rights litigation, One Wisconsin Institute v. Thomsen, much Republican voter-obstruction legislation was swept away, opening up metro voting districts to help voters vote and have those votes count.

Of course the Republican legal empire struck back.

In June 2020, Judge Frank Easterbrook, from the Seventh Circuit, using his propensity to play loose with facts, penned Luft v Evers; One Wisconsin Institute, Inc. v Jacobs, (Nos. 16-3003, 16-3052), (Marley, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel).

Easterbrook reinstated most of the Republican-enacted restrictions on early voting.

Easterbrook sees no racism in Republicans' Wisconsin election law, as long the Republican Party's animus toward minorities includes an animus toward Democrats. A bizarre judicial doctrine.

Crazy is the order of the day.

You hear about the Trump campaign attorney heading up the stop-the-ballots effort here?

Trump's lead attorney, Jim Troupis, and his wife's votes would be invalidated, were Trump to prevail in his current recount-and-stop ballots efforts in Wisconsin (see Beck, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, and Law and Crime).

This is because Trump wants early voting, (in-person, absentee), votes invalidated in Dane and Milwaukee counties.

One can think of a few Due Process and Equal Protection problems with Trump's sought-after remedy for an imagined injury at the hands of Dane and Milwaukee counties.

Bear in mind, limiting early voting and racial intent and effect in Republican efforts to halt voting in jurisdictions where black and brown people live is fine, [no Constitutional problems], with Easterbrook.

But even Easterbrook, were this case to reach the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, would recoil.

It's crazy time in Wisconsin, but crazy is pretty much standard-going the last ten years, and is consistent with Wisconsin's secular religion: Most white folks really don't like black and brown people very much.

Kenosha Racism, Police Mayhem Is Bi-partisan Project in City of Provencials

Update -  "As Kenosha authorities were preparing for a not completely welcome visit from President Donald Trump, the president took credit for the continued existence of the city," writes Deneen Smith in her lede paragraph in the Kenosha News, a journal written by white people for white people.

This is not hyperbole by Ms. Smith; this is accurate reporting of communications from the White House.

But there is no Wisconsin City, with the possible exception of Racine, more unprepared to challenge Trump's lunacy, and the horror of this municipality's lethal racism.

Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley (D), Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian (D), and Kenosha County Exec Jim Kreuser (D), all white, are all vested in police assaults of black people. This mayhem does not just happen out of the ether.

Emissions from Kenosha Democratic officials are squeaks of let's "pull together," and let's "heal." These are pleas of getting back to normal where the police can and will do anything to black people for any or no reason.

The let's-heal now line is repeated by Gov Tony Evers (D) in a letter Trump asking him to stay away.

"I am concerned your presence will only hinder our healing," Evers wrote in a letter to Trump. "I am concerned your presence will only delay our work to overcome division and move forward together," reports the AP.

So, don't expect moral condemnations of the would-be murderer cop Rusten Sheskey or acknowledgement of Democratic Party complicity in racism, as Wisconsin moves forward together and overcomes division.

Don't expect statements from Wisconsin Gov Tony Evers (D) and Attorney General Joshua Kaul (D) that speak to and challenge the reality of being black and brown in Wisconsin.

Democrats here are ill-equipped, morally unsuited for the tasks at hand.

Said King 57 years ago at the March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom:

This is no time to engage in the luxury of cooling off or to take the tranquilizing drug of gradualism. Now is the time to make real the promises of democracy. Now is the time to rise from the dark and desolate valley of segregation to the sunlit path of racial justice. Now is the time to lift our nation from the quicksands of racial injustice to the solid rock of brotherhood. Now is the time to make justice a reality for all of God's children.

Fifty-seven years later, Wisconsin Democrats have a clear and well-crafted rejoinder for King: Hell with that.

And not one Democrat here dares speak against this Party of parrots and jellyfish.

Wisc DoJ, Kenosha Police Union Launch PR Campaign for Killer Cop as Press Descends on Kenosha

Message to National Press on Racists, Rusten Sheskey and Kyle Rittenhouse and Kenosha

Updated - Madison, Wisconsin — As the nation bears witness to the Kenosha carnage in advance of Pres Trump's Tuesday tour, some features bear notice: Wisconsin law enforcement: They lie; not just garden-variety lies, but mission-critical lies in the worst state to be black and brown.

Municipal, County, State Patrol, Capitol Police, Dept of Justice [Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI)] — multi-generational institutions perfect lies in police reports, statements at 'crime' scenes, press conferences, testilying, investigations of police conduct, defaming, bad-mouthing citizens (our brothers and sisters) and as we know, mayhem and attempted murder by police.

Name a situation in which a cop communicates and he will soon lie; no act is too petty or too vicious and inhuman for police here and candor will not precede or follow. Sever a spine, eviscerate a black man, it's all in a day's work for police who retreat to their cult, knowing their police union and in Kenosha, Democratic Party officials, will lay down cover.

The Kenosha Police union is in full-out attack mode against Jacob Blake, and you can bet they are not consulting anyone but police when they put out their propaganda.

Wisconsin is racist, certainly among the worst states in this all-American enterprise.

Kenosha stains the nation because its racists are more open about their antipathy of black people and ostentatious in their disdain for the press, civil liberties and human rights.

It's the way it is. Don't take my word, national press; seek background from Wisconsin criminal justice litigators and scholars, though it is not considered politic to state the above facts on the record.

Better yet, ask anyone who is black in Kenosha, Wisconsin. If you're a journalist from out-of-state, literally walk up to any random black person anywhere and ask if police are racist and dishonest.

This is a bi-partisan misinformation project, apartheid and slow-motion Holocaust project, and of course Republicans are the worst statewide, not so in Kenosha. Democrats dominate City and County government, though the leading clown, the sheriff, is a Republican, like most cops.

Some of the primary law enforcement liars at work against truth and black people are, (in no particular order) heavy Democratic Party hacks:

Attorney General Josh Kaul (D) - This little turd is a particularly fetid example of a liar. By the way, this site is working with advocates for the wrongfully convicted Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey featured in the Emmy-winning Making a Murderer. Kaul abides blatant law breaking by his staff. With respect to Kenosha, Kaul's dept is already laying the groundwork for the no-charge against the racist Kenosha cop as the Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) handles both public relations and crafting the case for why the racist cop should not be charged, discarding its statutory mandate to work as objective investigators. Kaul worked as federal prosecutor in Baltimore before moving back to Wisconsin. but Kaul sees no racism, and police can do no wrong, not in Baltimore, not in Kenosha.

Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis - Miskinis runs the police department as a white-power militia, under color of law, viewing with suspicion any citizens of a dark hue. Miskinis has already exonerated his police for maiming Jacob Blake, and for offering aid and comfort to the racist killer and aspiring cop, Kyle Rittenhouse. He instead blames curfew violators for being murdered by Rittenhouse. Human rights and civil liberties groups are calling for the immediate resignation of Miskinis and Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth.

Miskinis is hostile to the idea of liberal democracy and he enjoys the political support of Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian (D), a steady force against black people in a city that arrests church member in broad daylight for bringing water and food to this despicable bin of racists.

Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth - Like Miskinis, Beth fantasizes that black people should disappear and be warehoused away, as noted prominently in the Washington Post.

CNN reported on this racist, David Beth:

David Beth addressed reporters in January 2018 following the arrests of five people for shoplifting at a Tommy Hilfiger outlet store in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, and a high-speed chase that led to their arrests.

At least four of the suspects were Black, according to jail records. The fifth suspect was a minor, the sheriff's department said in a statement.

'I'm to the point that I think society has to come to a threshold where there's some people that aren't worth saving,' Beth said at the news conference a day after the incident, according to CNN affiliate WTMJ. 'We need to build warehouses, to put these people into it and lock them away for the rest of their lives.'

Kenosha County District Attorney Michael Graveley will decline to prosecute Kenosha's racist cop Rustin Sheskey. For Graveley, Kenosha cops like Sheskey are one of theirs'.

Graveley, a racist who gets bi-partisan political support, loves prosecuting black people, but would never touch a cop, no matter how outrageous the conduct. (See, for example, Harvard Crimson and the absurd case of Chrystul D. Kizer).

When Gravely last ran for election, he fed his bi-partisan support, including from David Beth, to local media. From the Kenosha News:

Graveley, named last week as Wisconsin Prosecutor of the Year by Attorney General Brad Schimel, said he will run as a Democrat. In a bipartisan show of support, County Executive Jim Kreuser, a Democrat, and Sheriff David Beth, a Republican, both strongly endorsed Graveley.

Kreuser and Beth described Graveley as a strong advocate for crime victims and a friend of law enforcement.
Screw over enough black people, and law enforcement will make you prosecutor of the year here.

Then, there's the Kenosha Mayor John Antaramian, a Democratic Party pol, who provides cover and political support for the whole Kenosha mad-dog operation.

Antaramian will never call for the resignations of the more open racists, Beth and Miskinis. They have a nice tax payer-funded game going and they watch each others' back, as they shoot black people in the back.

Kenosha County Exec Jim Kreuser
(D) will do nothing and say nothing to advocate for black folks and human rights.

Black lives don't matter here. Trump wants this news trumpeted, more loud chaos, more graphic death. Democrats want this reality quiet, warehouse blacks away, but do it quiet, make Kenosha look peaceful and friendly.

Don't look for police press conferences for candid anwsers, if Kenosha cops decide to actually conduct them in the face of mounting national ridicule.

Justices on 7th Circuit Do Duty for Racist GOP — Slash Voting

Wisconsin voting rights workers worked to defend citizenss against
Republican-enacted voter obstruction laws. Molly McGrath (L), a
voting rights attorney with the ACLU, works with Madison residents
to get the IDs they need to vote under Wisconsin’s restrictive
voter-ID law. (Courtesy of Molly McGrath)
Madison, Wisconsin —You should have seen Wisconsin voters streaming into metro voting precincts after a voting rights victory in the Summer 2016, (One Wisconsin Institute v. Jacobs, [Thomsen] (16-3091).

With black hair and dark skin, voters sometimes teamed-up with white women just to stick it in good folks' collective face; and ole-time Wisconsin values looked frayed as Gov Scott Walker (R) was knocked out of office in 2018.

Used to be, you only had to deal with black folks at Bucks games and visits to the Milwaukee Zoo. Now, you can find black folks in Fond du Lac marching down the street like they own the place.

God-fearing racists need not have worried.

Judge Frank Easterbrook is the racists' ace in the hole, though Easterbrook, and his propensity to play with loose with facts, proved an unpunctual card to play in Luft v Evers; One Wisconsin Institute, Inc. v Jacobs, (Nos. 16-3003, 16-3052), voting rights cases decided June 29, 2020, (Marley, Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel).

Easterbrook's job, as he sees it, is to diminish voting rights, and devise new ways for Republican legislators to stop minorities to vote.

Reports Rick Hasen, election law expert, on Easterbrook's I-see-no-racism-here June 2020 opinion from the Seventh Circuit: [Hasen's analysis should result in a code-red response, as 2020 will be the most comprehensive voter-obstruction project since the Civil War].

[W]ith no explanation for the 3-year delay ... overall this is a very voter-unfriendly decision (and I say that not necessarily because of the holdings but because of the dismissiveness of the panel’s approach to voting rights issues and what it means for future challenges).

Some details:

This appeal is complicated: it comes from two separate cases where various election laws were challenged as unconstitutional, a violation of the Voting Rights Act, or both. Some of the decisions of the lower court judges were inconsistent, and some of the issues, came up to the 7th Circuit in earlier challenges to the voter id aspects of the law.
Judge Easterbrook, as is his style, gives breezy and superficial treatment to many of these voting issues, making the three year delay in a unanimous case all the more inexplicable.

The opinion starts out with a very troubling discussion of Judge Adelman’s findings that some of these restrictive Wisconsin voting laws were passed with racial and partisan animus. The 7th Circuit found little direct evidence of racial discrimination and then suggested, in a very troubling way, that making it harder to vote on the basis of party is perfectly acceptable. ('If one party can make changes that it believes help its candidates, the other can restore the original rules or revise the new ones. The process does not include a constitutional ratchet.'). In support of this terrible idea, Judge Easterbrook cites the Rucho case from the Supreme Court, which held that there are no judicially manageable standards to separate permissible from impermissible consideration of party in redistricting. But that did not carry over into voting rules, like rules for early voting, and the Supreme Court has never held that partisan animus provides a legitimate basis for discriminatory voting rules.

Making matters even worse, Judge Easterbrook dismisses without analysis the argument that discriminating against Democrats when so much of the party is made up of racial minorities can in some circumstances be a form of racial discrimination. ('The record does not show that legislators made any of the changes because Democratic voters are more likely to be black (or because black voters are more likely to support Democrats). The changes were made because of politics.').

What Easterbrook's dismissive opinion does is give the green light to Republicans to stop as many black and brown people as possible from voting, as long as their party-line-enacted statutes and elected Republicans do not explicitly state 'stop black and brown voters.'

Two U.S. District judges in Wisconsin see Republican voter obstruction differently.

For example, Judge James Peterson writes in One Wisconsin Institute v. Thomsen, [Jacobs] (16-3091).:

[I] find that 2013 Wis. Act 146, restricting hours for in-person absentee voting, intentionally discriminates on the basis of race. I reach this conclusion because I am persuaded that this law was specifically targeted to curtail voting in Milwaukee without any other legitimate purpose. The legislature’s immediate goal was to achieve a partisan objective, but the means of achieving that objective was to suppress the reliably Democratic vote of Milwaukee’s African Americans. Thus, I conclude that the limits on in-person absentee voting imposed by Act 146 fail under the Fifteenth Amendment, as well as under the Anderson-Burdick analysis.

In sum, Wisconsin has the authority to regulate its elections to preserve their integrity, and a voter ID requirement can be part of a well-conceived election system. But, as explained in the pages that follow, parts of Wisconsin’s election regime fail to comply with the constitutional requirement that its elections remain fair and equally open to all qualified electors.
No rational person in Wisconsin disputes that the intent and effect of the Republican transformation of Wisconsin election law is to obstruct voters, except Easterbrook and fellow Republican judges on the Seventh Circuit.

So, for example, Waukesha County clerk Kathleen Novack (R), commenting on increased early-voting hours, opined in May 2016, that there "too much access to the voters as far as opportunities," (The Capital Times).

Novack added, when asked about increased municipal early-voting efforts in Madison and Milwaukee: "There has to come a point where it’s just giving over-access … to particular parts of the state." Novack wanted to stop early voting opportunities for Madison and Milwaukee, where most black and brown people live here.

Wisconsin Republicans know that four new Trump-appointed judges to the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit—vetted by the Federalist Society to whom Trump outsources vetting of judicial appointments—will sustain the Republican Party position against voting rights.

Stopping non-Republican voters from voting is a strategic initiative for Wisconsin Republicans.

The  grave threat to democracy is existential. See See Twenty of America's top political scientists gathered to discuss our democracy. They're scared. "If current trends continue for another 20 or 30 years, democracy will be toast."

In less than three months in late September, absentee voting begins for the November General Elections.

Republicans know their only chance for victory is to suppress the total vote of non-Republicans, a commitment about which they hold no shame, and that Frank Easterbrook supports on the bench, (Wisconsin State Journal).

And Wisconsin racists are happy.

Biden Uses Meeting with George Floyd Family to Voice Stance Against Defunding Police

Defund the Police is the clear message of human rights
workers protesting the brutality and killing by police depts.
The message is painted on Martin Luther King, Jr Blvd
in downtown Madison, Wisconsin and was posted online by
the human rights group, Freedom, Inc, (Facebook).

"No, I don't support defunding the police," said the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee

Passionate demands ring out nationwide to defund the police.

Joe Biden has an answer for the protesters: No.

This is another betrayal by Biden engorged in his unseemly love affair with police that have so terrorized black and brown people. Police are the faithful inheritors of slave patrols, and people are objects, property, in their pathology celebrated in American culture.

Defunding the police is a set of policy prescriptions that takes resources from abusive cops and instead invests in "education, youth development, health care, mental health services and other areas that could reduce crime," (Elbow, The Capital Times).

In segregated urban areas that are traditional targets of police who view the population with hostility, and as targets for police sadism and harassment, the police should be banned, abolished, is a demand of human rights workers carrying the banner for Mr. Floyd.

Biden's disappointing position will not be met well. From Madison, Wisconsin:

Biden has for decades worked to increase funding for the police, fund more police, increase sentences for drug 'offenses,' while bragging about the number of people for whom his legislation results in long prison sentences, so Biden's position is no surprise.

"No, I don't support defunding the police," the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee said in an interview with CBS while in Houston to meet with the family of George Floyd, whose death last month as a Minneapolis police officer knelt on his neck set off nationwide protests, (CNN).

Trump agrees and makes his opposition to defunding unequivocal.

"Defund the police" is a rallying cry around the country as police have used the protests as an excuse to blind people, beat people, induce head trauma, use tear gag, while jailing and writing 1,000s of bogus citations.

Of course, Biden being Biden, threw in some rhetoric to slunk with this position against defunding.

"I support conditioning federal aid to police based on whether or not they meet certain basic standards of decency and honorableness. And, in fact, are able to demonstrate they can protect the community and everybody in the community," said Biden.

This is the exact position of police administrators nationwide for decades, the same position of police unions and fraternal orders of police.

And it's all hollow rhetoric. Good enough for Joe Biden.

Police harassment, beatings, defamation, character assassination, assault, killing will remain routine.

You can't breathe, Joe Biden does not care.

Enough is enough.

Our pain, our cries, and our need to be seen and heard resonate throughout this entire country.

We demand acknowledgment and accountability for the devaluation and dehumanization of Black life at the hands of the police.

We call for radical, sustainable solutions that affirm the prosperity of Black lives.

George Floyd’s violent death was a breaking point — an all too familiar reminder that, for Black people, law enforcement doesn’t protect or save our lives. They often threaten and take them.

Right now, Minneapolis and cities across our country are on fire, and our people are hurting — the violence against Black bodies felt in the ongoing mass disobedience, all while we grapple with a pandemic that is disproportionately affecting, infecting, and killing us.

We call for an end to the systemic racism that allows this culture of corruption to go unchecked and our lives to be taken.

We call for a national defunding of police. We demand investment in our communities and the resources to ensure Black people not only survive, but thrive. If you’re with us, add your name to the petition right now and help us spread the word.

Democratic Party Is Complicit in Covering Up Assault by Joe Biden Against a Woman

Defending the indefensible is only helping Donald Trump

Madison, Wisconsin — The Democratic Party and its politically correct, 'woke,' allies continue their cover-up of Joe Biden's sexual assault of Tara Reade, a former Senate staffer in 1993.

This exercise in demonizing an innocent woman is an abject lesson in the charade of Democratic Party identity politics, a tool that is not grounded in principle.

Democrats don't care about racism, sexual assault, sexism, and homophobia, for example.

They care about neo-liberal power, and right now Joe Biden is their standard bearer.

Where are Hillary Clinton and Nerra Tandem?  They are standing behind their neo-liberal corporatist, Joe Biden.

Hey, Democratic Party: You're only helping Trump and Joe Biden is a no-go.

I'm voting for Bernie Sanders. This bears mentioning since appealing to principle is beyond the pale.

Meanwhile, Democrats claim anyone mentioning the sexual assault is with the Russians. Seriously.

By the way, I'm not with the Russians. From Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, living in the Madison area now.

And one Biden supporter, one Dave Blank, says on Facebook, Biden's attack is a mere "low-level sexual assault."

Dave Blank WOW! A 27 year old claim of low-level sexual assault? THAT'S all the Republicans have come up with? Trump's sex assault claims are far more recent and far more numerous. Yet, he continues to deny them and Republicans give him a pass on all of them. All of them.

Michael Leon‎, your righteousness (feigned or real) is ridiculous.

New York Times v Sullivan Faces Challenge amid Changing Judiciary, Emboldened Racists

Manitowoc County Sheriff Lt. Andrew Colborn (ret)
has included an argument in his federal defamation
suit against the creators and distributors of Making a
Murderer that seeks to eviscerate First Amendment
protections exemplified in the First Amendment
case, New York Times v Sullivan.
Update: Trump calls for new accusers of Justice Kavanaugh to file suit for libel, and for U.S. Justice Dept to "rescue" embattled judge, (Newsweek).
 --
Madison, Wisconsin — "One of the things I'm going to do if I win, ... I'm going to open up our libel laws so when they [the press] write purposely negative and horrible and false articles, we can sue them and win lots of money. We're going to open up those libel laws," blustered Donald Trump in February 2016, (The Politico).

Trump repeated his views on modern libel law doctrine after taking office because apparently he was not informed there are no federal libel laws that he can "open up."

Further, holdings of the landmark Supreme Court case, New York Times v Sullivan (1964), prevent an aggrieved government official from winning "lots of money" and prevailing in a civil action against citizens expressing opinions deemed caustic, unorthodox or irreverent, for example, toward our 'leaders.'

So, why worry? Trump is a lunatic, and whatever fantasies he manages are tempered by the reality of long-won legal victories holding malicious public officials in check.

The First Amendment freedoms of the press, speech and expression with which Trump is actually quarreling offer the most powerful protection in the world to people voicing thought at variance with  public officials' assessment of their character and performance, (ACLU, Jan 2018; NYT, Feb 2019).

Trump's desire to litigate against the authors and publishers of prose written at Trump's expense seems little more than the wish of a half-wit pining for the 21rst century equivalent of the Sedition Act that criminalized writings thrusting government officials into disrepute.

Today, the Federalist Society, Republican senators and Donald Trump work assiduously to transform the federal judiciary into an adjunct arm of the Republican Party, white Evangelicals and corporate special interests, a la the corrupt Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Challenges to foundational cases codifiying American liberties are bubbling up through the federal judiciary.

And, Trump has "appointed nearly one in four of the nation's federal appeals court judges and one in seven of its district court judges," all activist ideologues vetted for their fidelity to an authoritarian and ahistorical jurisprudence, reports Carrie Johnson at National Public Radio.

Further, two of nine Trump-appointed justices serve on the Untied States Supreme Court forming a five-four majority of hyper-activist judges working for the interest of the Republican Party.

It is in this milieu that we ought to be concerned about Republicans on the United States Supreme Court hollowing out our liberties generally.

The Trumpist hostility against the press has escalated into a political assault against the journalists themselves. Reports the New York Times: "A loose network of conservative operatives allied with the White House is pursuing what they say will be an aggressive operation to discredit news organizations deemed hostile to President Trump by publicizing damaging information about journalists. ... [Poiltical] operatives have compiled dossiers and research that is "said to extend to members of journalists’ families who are active in politics, as well as liberal activists and other political opponents of the president."

Specifically, current efforts to ultimately convince the United States Supreme Court to revisit New York Times v Sullivan should be considered in light of the struggle between those who see human beings as instruments and often enemies of the State, and those who see the State as an instrument of human beings.

Crazy, crazy. It's rightwingers.

Cases in three different regional appellate circuits — Second, Sixth and Seventh — feature rightwing plaintiffs intent on revisiting Sullivan, the eloquently written opinion codifying First Amendment rights of the press, speech and expression by citizens voicing thought regarding public officials. [Sullivan protections were subsequently expanded to include other classes of public figures, somewhat more controversially.]

Though the three challenges do not appear to be well-organized, well-considered and linked, we would be fools to not be concerned.

New York Times v Sullivan

L.B. Sullivan, a Montgomery, Alabama Commissioner of Public Affairs filed a libel suit against "Negroes," clergymen and the New York Times Company for a full-page ad, entitled "Heed Their Rising Voices," run in the Times on March 29, 1960 in which the defendants call for human dignity, guarantees of the United States Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and defense of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, (p 257, New York Times v Sullivan).

The ad was signed at the bottom of the page by the "Committee to Defend Martin Luther King and the Struggle for Freedom in the South."

L.B. Sullivan was not mentioned by name in the ad, but the ad condemned actions of the Montgomery police, and Sullivan reasoned he was implicitly criticized and libeled because of his authority as a supervisor of City police, (p 258, New York Times v Sullivan).

A jury in the Montgomery County Circuit Court awarded Sullivan $500,000.

American Court victories won for liberty usually come after indescribable costs in blood and lives — state-perpetrated genocide, slavery, terror, massacres, murder, frame-ups, incarcerations, character assassination, trauma, intimidation, hate, racism and harassment, continuing today.

The New York Times and civil rights workers prevailed over the tyrannical Montgomery police and its odious City officials at the United States Supreme Court.

Justice William Brennan writing for a unanimous court authored a defense of the liberty of the people against government tyrants, a principle that today stands as both an inspiring statement for liberty and a landmark declaration of the power of citizens over public officials.

Writes Brennan:

The First Amendment, said Judge Learned Hand,

presupposes that right conclusions are more likely to be gathered out of a multitude of tongues than through any kind of authoritative selection. To many, this is, and always will be, folly, but we have staked upon it our all. United States v. Associated Press, 52 F.Supp. 362, 372 (D.C.S.D.N.Y. 1943).
Mr. Justice Brandeis, in his concurring opinion in Whitney v. California, 274 U.S. 357, 375-376, gave the principle its classic formulation:
Those who won our independence believed . . . that public discussion is a political duty, and that this should be a fundamental principle of the American government. ... Believing in the power of reason as applied through public discussion, they eschewed silence coerced by law -- the argument of force in its worst form. Recognizing the occasional tyrannies of governing majorities, they amended the Constitution so that free speech and assembly should be guaranteed.
Thus, we consider this case [New York Times v. Sullivan] against the background of a profound national commitment to the principle that debate on public issues should be uninhibited, robust, and wide-open, and that it may well include vehement, caustic, and sometimes unpleasantly sharp attacks on government and public officials. (New York Times v. Sullivan).

Parable of Racist Police

To understand the power of Sullivan today, consider a recent example of racist Wisconsin police in which the DeForest, Wisconsin Police Chief Daniel Furseth was caught on video surveiling and mocking a group of black teenagers dressed for their high school prom, and stopping by an area restaurant, as was reported by a former police intern on YouTube in June 2018.

DeForest, Wisconsin Police Chief Daniel Furseth is a racist
cop who surveiled and mocked five young black men
in some faux black slang with a demeaning, racist and
derogatory narrative caught on video. Furseth was widely
criticized, resigning under fire before joining like-minded police
at the Town, not the City, of Madison, Wisconsin. Prior to
the holdings in New York Times v Sullivan (1964), public
officials like the Furseth could prevail in libel actions, pleading
libel per se against those such as the police intern who
published the video on YouTube. Wrties the whistle-
blower: "This is what the stupid, ignorant, and imbecilic Village
of  DeForest elects to be their 'Top Cop.' This is the racist
Chief of Police Daniel Furseth, who is much like the rest of
DeForest, poorly educated, socially intolerant, and completely
incompetent when it comes to federal law (you know
the one that trumps state and local law when it’s in conflict
with it). Only a redneck and backassward community like
DeForest would want someone like this as a Chief to keep the
black man out."
Observing the youths and commenting in mocking accent, Furseth said: "Okay, we is out on our dates. We got the bitches, we gonna get them, and we gonna give them food. I got my cane, I’ve gots (sic) my suit. Oh baby … Okay, boys, let’s go in. This is the fanciest restaurant we ever been to and it’s called the Steak ‘N Shake. (Laughter) Unbelievable."

A reader should listen to the 36-second clip on YouTube to get a full accounting of the malice and racism that most small-town Wisconsin cops know to keep under wraps. Furseth and his all-white police force really do not like black people.

In August 2018 came reports of four new counts of misconduct by Furseth, (WISC-TV).

Chased out of office, the racist Daniel Furseth was never heard from again, right? Wrong.

Furseth was quickly hired by the town of Madison, not the City, in October 2018.

An official with the town of Madison police department, not the City, confirmed by phone on August 14, 2019 that Furseth is still employed with the Town police, locally notorious for racism, harassment, bogus citations and misconduct.

Pre-New York Times v Sullivan (1964), or had American jurisprudence taken another direction, the Town, DeForest and Furseth may have enjoyed cause for civil action for my opining that Daniel Furseth and Town and Village officials are racist, ignorant pig-fuckers who should have their teeth kicked out.

The former police intern who blew the whistle on YouTube similarly might not enjoy protections for his commentary about the character of the DeForest, Wisconsin Police Dept in which Furseth rose through the all-white ranks to become chief in 2015.

The judiciary over the last 60 years has risen to become a refuge for civil pleadings from social movements working for those persecuted by the State — often the repository of lurid souls like Daniel Furseth and L.B. Sullivan who, one may believe, should be anomalous is a classical liberal society.

Liberties Prevail

The United States Supreme Court of the 1950s, 60s and 70s in significant areas made it appear individual rights prevailing were a dynamic as inevitable as the triumph of reason over racism and liberation over atavistic taboo.

Landmark legal rulings after rulings were won and each victory seemed a fulfillment of long-denied liberties as the civil rights and peace movement flourished.

Brown v Board of Education (1954), New York Times v Sullivan (1964), Loving v Virgina (1967), Brandenburg v. Ohio (1969) and United States v. United States District Court (1972) and dozens more Court holdings promised to buttress citizens against routine incursions of liberty by State actors and law enforcement.

Sullivan under Attack

Many today fear an epic backlash, and the challenges to Sullivan are emblematic.

There are now at least three cases in three different appellate circuits — Second, Sixth and Seventh — in which rightwing plaintiffs appear intent on revisiting New York Times v. Sullivan.

  • Sixth Circuit - Nicholas Sandmann v. WP Company LLC, d/b/a [doing business as] The Washington Post (2:19-cv-00019). Plaintiff says he will appeal the dismissal decided in jUly 2019.
  • Seventh Circuit - Andrew Colborn v. Netflix, Inc (1:19-cv-00484). Likely to be dismissed in a  Dec 19, 2019 hearing in District court. An appeal is possible.
  • Second Circuit - Sarah Palin v New York Times Co, 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, No. 17-3801. Case will be heard on the merits in U.S. District Court.

All three plaintiffs above are political rightwingers.

Sandmann and Palin are demonstrable racists.

All three cases appear more the result of isolated rightwing angst at the liberal press, and, in Colborn's case, astonishment that analysis and commentary dare accuse a law enforcement officer of criminal misconduct.

So, Google-alert the cases and keep your eyes out.

Trump's 'Make America Great Again' Call Is Normalized

DeForest, Wisconsin Police Chief Daniel Furseth is
a racist cop and noted scum-bag who rose through the
ranks of the DeForest Police Dept where racism
opens doors to white cop careers.
Donald Trump's work against American society alarms most everybody outside the Republican Party coalition as this lunatic has united the right under a call for the restoration of America.

The GOP's agitprop operation lends coherence and inspiring myths for generations of American whites who have divined anew the alleged evils of alien forces — the universities, the cities, enclaves of immigrants and Muslims, the lying press-fake news and identifiable blackish folks carrying on in public as they breathe and laugh.

A racist DeForest, Wisconsin, (a few miles north of Madison), Police Chief Daniel Furseth mocked and ridiculed a group of young black folks who simply gathered together to dine at a local Steak ‘N Shake restaurant.

A police intern came in possession of the video, (made in 2007), and bore witness to the vile, casual racism of DeForest, Wisconsin.

The racist cop Furseth spoke in a mocking accent on the video, mimicking the young group in what is supposed to be a faux, black English vernacular:

'Ok, we is out on our dates. We got the bitches, we gonna get them, and we gonna give them food. I got my cane, I’ve gots (sic) my suit,. Oh baby … Ok boys, let’s go in. This is the (fanciest) restaurant we ever been to and it’s called the Steak ‘N Shake.'

'Unbelievable,' Furseth continues, dropping the accent. ...

Furseth is typical of white cops in Wisconsin, and a plurality of white Wisconsinites who voted Trump into office.

Furseth accepted a severance package from DeForest in late June, (Phillips, Wisconsin State Journal), but the racist culture remains. Furseth rose through the ranks of the DeForest Police Dept not in spite of his racism, but because of his racism.

Wonder how a Evangelical troll like Scott Walker gets elected. Walker, like former Gov. Tommy Thompson, appeals to racism and that's an imposing base in Wisconsin.

To Wisconsin whites, the mere sight of black people in public is per force a problem requiring an armed response and constant police vigilance.

Trump's racist tropes trace directly back to the propaganda of 20th-century totalitarian terror states.

  • The Soviet Union, the reactionary dungeon state that targeted, for example, everything from Noam Chomsky's cognitive psychology to anything American or libertarian, including any thinker who dared propose liberty, peace and humanity as the basis for a society vis a vis the USSR, (IndyMedia, CIA)
  • NAZI Germany promising a return to traditional values and law and order against alien influences, (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum)

Trump's Make America Great Again appeals enjoy only a plurality of support among the population.

Ruling with minority support is a strategic project of the Republican Party. There is no apparent bottom to what Trump and the Republican Party will do to destroy political opposition to Trump by the American people.

For starters, the United States Senate should be shut down next week unless Sen. McConnell agrees to deferring the Supreme Court hearing and vote until the next Congress in 2019.

Scott Walker, God and Trump

Racism and malice connect Donald Trump and Scott Walker

Scott Walker's mission from god is crazed, it's okay to say this

Madison, Wisconsin — Gov. Scott Walker (R) broke his 2014 campaign vow to serve four years if elected because God later told Walker to instead seek the Republican Party nomination for the presidency, Walker claimed, (Mal Contends, Mal Contends, The Politico, New York Times). Walker lied.

In January 2015, Walker laughed at suggestions he was seeking the presidency, saying, "We'll see about what God's calling is for the future," (Opoien, Capital Times). Walker lied.

God had presidential plans for the evangelical, (AmericaBlog), but god revised Operation President Walker in September 2015, and "called away" the Wisconsin pol from the campaign to instead help a "positive conservative message" rise up and oppose Trump, Walker claimed, (DemoCurmudgeon).

In 2006, god had also called on Walker to first run for, and then get out of the race for governor, (Walsh, Salon).

This is either terrible Scott Walker project management by god or just another lie by Scott Walker.

In any event the corporate media failed to accurately report this religious-inspired nonsense.

This divine malpractice does point to a solution of Wisconsin's Scott Walker problem as he seeks another term as Wisconsin governor in 2018.

The corporate media should drop its taboo from reporting on and analyzing the crazed mania and delusion known as religious fundamentalism, especially when the whacked-out madness is assumed by this most dishonest of politicians.

No matter how fervently a candidate such as Scott Walker insists he gets political and policy marching orders from god, the taboo in conventional journalism remains: Stay away from a candidate's self-proclaimed religion.

This taboo is in defiance of reason and contributes to the most corrupt, cynical, deceitful and destructive politician in Wisconsin history getting a free ride.

Now, Scott Walker has become Trump's faithful servant, and nothing from creating baby jails to bad-mouthing Harley-Davidson to defending neoNAZIs will deter Walker from praising and obeying Donald Trump.

Walker's every decision in life — whom to marry, elected office, dropping "bomb(s)" — is made through the process of Scott Walker hearing and obeying god, (Rothschild, The Progressive), Walker has long insisted.

Walker has targeted political enemies as governor in a manner so vicious and deceitful that every organ of public affairs should be sharp-shooting Walker's decision-making. But Walker hides behind god, and corporate journalistic convention as much as the state patrol and the capitol police, as he actually targets segments of the population.

Noted Charles Pierce on Walker's aborted 2015 run for president:

Running against the right people is a staple of all campaigns, right and left, but it's rarely as clear the raison d'etre of one as it is the raison d'etre of the Walker campaign. It is a toxic combination of belligerence and aggressive victimhood. You have to go all the way back to the George Wallace campaigns of 1968 and 1972 to find one that is so clearly defined by the people whose political power it wants to crush.

The corporate press has failed Wisconsin as it refuses to hold Walker accountable for his evangelical nonsense driving his malicious politics.

As Walker seeks his third term for governor, it's past time to report on this lying, malignant fundamentalist hack for what he is.

Anything less invites Walker's reelection. As a 54-year resident of Wisconsin, I do not believe we as a state can recover from another Walker term.

McCain 2008 Campaign Manager and Strategist Renounces Republican Party, Resigns Membership

The systemic sacrifice of children has begun
as calls for feeding the young to MAGA are
heeded. The Flight of Moloch - by
William Blake
America über alles

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell singled out as indecent

Steve Schmidt, Republican Party strategist and an architect of two presidential campaigns, has publicly renounced the Republican Party, vowing to align with the Democratic Party to fight against the "the party of Trump."

Schmidt made his comments on social media Wednesday morning as the number of children taken from parents by the U.S. government has now exceeded 11,000.

Steve Schmidt said the Republican Party has become "corrupt, indecent, and immoral" and "filled with feckless cowards who disgrace and dishonor the legacies of the party’s greatest leaders."

Singling out House Speaker Paul Ryan (R) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R), Schmidt said former Republican Party standard bearer, President Ronald Reagan, would be "ashamed of McConnell and Ryan and all the rest ... ."
Meanwhile, intellectuals and writers continue to sound the alarm the United States is entering a period of domestic fascism and state violence formerly reserved for its black citizens and Native Americans.

"All mass crimes in history start with a justification, a necessity rationalization, a sick form of nationalism and racism," notes The Intercept.

Last night as the AP broke the story the Trump administration had erected special internment camps for infants and toddlers, Rachel Maddow broke into tears at the end of her news show as she handed over MSNBC coverage to the Lawrence O'Donnell Show.

MSNBC and NBC News have stationed dozens of reporters and producers in the American south as each day newscasts seem more like a bearing of witness as the U.S. government attempts to hide locations and operations of secret holding facilities housing the children taken from parents.

The Trump administration signals that its child-snatching regime is a complex that is built to last.

The number of children stolen from their parents by the United States government now exceeds 11,000.
No need for Rachel Maddow to apologize as most of America is right behind her.

Sacrificing our children as Moloch calls.

By Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997)

Moloch! Solitude! Filth! Ugliness! Ashcans and unobtainable dollars!
Children screaming under the stairways! Boys sobbing in armies!
Old men weeping in the parks!
Moloch! Moloch! Nightmare of Moloch!
Moloch the loveless!
Mental Moloch!
Moloch the heavy judger of men!
Moloch the incomprehensible prison!
Moloch the crossbone soulless jailhouse and Congress of sorrows!
---

When Moloch calls for the sacrifice of children, religious mania is ever-present in America's DNA. Those without character round up children in a ritual sacrifice requiring the ascent of 1,000s. No member of ICE has dissented and spoken out.
---
"The religion of Moloch — as such creeds may be generically called — is in essence the cringing submission of the slave, who dare not, even in his heart, allow the thought that his master deserves no adulation. Since the independence of ideals is not yet acknowledged, Power may be freely worshipped, and receive an unlimited respect, despite its wanton infliction of pain."

Allan Nairn on America during Trump Admin

Cops' beating, killing, imprisoning and harassing people is a
fact of life getting worse under the rightist Trump
administration. Above is a shot from a video of a cop
beating a black teen caught by a cell phone. The
video elicits equal parts outrage and approval in
Wauwatosa, Wisconsin in May 2018. See Mal Contends.

Rightist Republicans demolish the Republic

Donald Trump's campaign boast about hypothetically killing a man in public and maintaining his core political support is one of the few truisms the lunatic in the White House has emitted.

Trump is a radical rightist leader of a mass base of fascistic Americans—they hate black and brown people and would be happy to see them all warehoused in prisons.

If Trump were to declare the black-and brown problem must be solved with a final solution begun with a declared state of emergency, Trump's white supporters would declare approvingly, 'yep, Trump's doing something, MAGA.'

Republicans in Congress would weasel their way to express their support.

Across America emboldened, politicized municipal police departments target citizens for any or no reason with the assurance their careers are secure. Liberal mayors and municipal officials—in Wisconsin, think Madison's Paul Soglin and Milwaukee's Tom Barrett—go along.

After the recent beating of a NBA player in Milwaukee, Tom Barrett expanded on his tame expression of concern, and offered a public apology to the police victim. Milwaukee Police Chief Alfonso Morales had said the assaulting cops acted "inappropriately," as though the vile gang of white cops committed a breach of etiquette and not a human rights violation.

Black and brown people get hit the worst.

The lunatic in the White House routinely boasts about his standing among cops and Evangelicals who flock to police departments to kill, harass and imprison for Christ.

Allan Nairn is interviewed by Jeremy Scahill in The Intercept today.

This is critical reading on the nature of Republican America and the white supremacist Donald Trump administration. They block voters and try to slash any federal expenditures that help people, working at all levels of elected government though no Republican dares campaign on these intentions.

Said Allan Nairn:

Well, Trump dragged a rightist revolution into power. It’s the Paul Ryan agenda which could never have gotten elected in its own right, because it’s anathema to most Americans — slashing Medicare, slashing social security, transferring trillions of dollars from the working people, and even the poor and the middle class to the very rich. Mitt Romney kind of tried to run on that and failed. Ryan, in his own right, could never get elected president. But Trump, with his genius for unleashing the beast in white America, touching these deep chords of racism that succeeded in turning a crucial number of previous white Obama voters into Trump voters, precisely, in large part, because of his racist appeals and his appeals to fear.

He succeeded in dragging the Republican Party into the White House with a minority of the votes. And this is a Republican Party that is one of the most radical mainstream political parties in all of American history, perhaps with the exception of the pro-secessionist Democrats at the time of the Civil War. And they’ve been in there, they’ve been implementing a rightist revolution, doing the massive transfer of wealth in part via the tax bill, but also an important part by systematically, agency by agency, trying to gut the constraints on large corporations and the oligarchs, regarding the environment, their treatment of labor, their ability to discriminate, their ability to commit fraud without fear of being sued by the public, increasing the rights of rich individuals to intervene in politics, decreasing the rights of collectives of working people to intervene in politics, like the Gorsuch-led Supreme Court decision just the other day, inhibiting the ability of workers to file class-action lawsuits against their employers.

It’s a systematic program that’s been in the works since 1980, really. In a sense, it dates back to the old Powell memorandum, where Powell, who later joined the Supreme Court, said we, the representatives of the rich, we’ve got to fight back against this new environmental movement, against this consumer movement, against the labor movement, and also implicitly against the Civil Rights movement. 'These people have been making too many gains, we’ve got to organize ourselves.'

And they did! They created Heritage, and this whole other elaborate apparatus, and later the Koch Brothers came in, and they created ALEC, the American Legislative Exchange Council. They sent people down to the state legislature. And they’ve been working on this program for decades.

And, now, as the Republican Party has evolved to the most radical extreme, Trump dragged them into power again. They happen to have control of both houses of Congress and the Supreme Court. And they’ve been going around rigging the system so that a diminishing minority of people can hold power and continue to govern. Just as Trump was elected with a minority of the votes, they’re trying to set it up through a long list of tactics, including purging of voter rolls, voter suppression shortly before Election Day, gerrymandering, et cetera, et cetera, et cetera, smaller and smaller numbers of people can win elections and retain power.

In Wisconsin, a reformist candidate for the Democratic Party nominee for governor, Matt Flynn, is campaigning on a platform of emptying the jails of those convicted of non-violent crimes. "Stop destroying lives," said Flynn.

Flynn faces a lot of opposition from both the Democratic and Republican parties.

Destroying lives is an objective of the most dangerous political party in American history, the Republican Party, which tries to insulate their rule from the democratic process.

Trump and his movement have not reached the bottom yet.
