RFK Speaks Today

The effort made today. RFK warned about the danger of
timid bystanders on June 6, 1966. Said Kennedy:
"And everyone here will ultimately be judged
— will ultimately judge himself —
on the effort he has contributed to building a new
world society and the extent to which his ideals
and goals have shaped that effort."
Day of Affirmation Address (News Release Version),

Stop destroying lives

"We learn, at the last, to look at our brothers as aliens, men with whom we share a city, but not a community, men bound to us in common dwelling, but not in common effort. We learn to share only a common fear - only a common desire to retreat from each other - only a common impulse to meet disagreement with force," said RFK on April 5, 1968, the day after the assassination of King.

What would Robert Kennedy say today?

RFK would be appalled by the police-prosecutor-prison state that destroys lives, life after life, family after family, at a police force that seems to regard people roughly as they would inspect a beaker of urine.

Absent a radical new project on the role of the police and an evaluation of the structures of our society, more American human beings will be lost.

A new generation is carrying the torch for humanity: Black Lives Matter.

We should listen, to them and voices from history.

ROBERT KENNEDY'S CITY CLUB OF CLEVELAND SPEECH, 1968. On April 5, 1968, one day after the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Senator Robert F. Kennedy delivered a speech entitled "On the Mindless Menace of Violence" at the CITY CLUB OF CLEVELAND. In the 10-minute speech Kennedy deplored violence in American society. "This is a time of shame and sorrow," he told the hushed audience. Just two months later, Kennedy himself would be assassinated.

Robert F. Kennedy
Cleveland City Club
April 5, 1968

This is a time of shame and sorrow. It is not a day for politics. I have saved this one opportunity to speak briefly to you about this mindless menace of violence in America which again stains our land and every one of our lives.

It is not the concern of any one race. The victims of the violence are black and white, rich and poor, young and old, famous and unknown. They are, most important of all, human beings whom other human beings loved and needed. No one - no matter where he lives or what he does - can be certain who will suffer from some senseless act of bloodshed. And yet it goes on and on.

Why? What has violence ever accomplished? What has it ever created? No martyr's cause has ever been stilled by his assassin's bullet.

No wrongs have ever been righted by riots and civil disorders. A sniper is only a coward, not a hero; and an uncontrolled, uncontrollable mob is only the voice of madness, not the voice of the people.

Whenever any American's life is taken by another American unnecessarily - whether it is done in the name of the law or in the defiance of law, by one man or a gang, in cold blood or in passion, in an attack of violence or in response to violence - whenever we tear at the fabric of life which another man has painfully and clumsily woven for himself and his children, the whole nation is degraded.

"Among free men," said Abraham Lincoln, “there can be no successful appeal from the ballot to the bullet; and those who take such appeal are sure to lose their cause and pay the costs."

Yet we seemingly tolerate a rising level of violence that ignores our common humanity and our claims to civilization alike. We calmly accept newspaper reports of civilian slaughter in far off lands. We glorify killing on movie and television screens and call it entertainment. We make it easy for men of all shades of sanity to acquire weapons and ammunition they desire.

Too often we honor swagger and bluster and the wielders of force; too often we excuse those who are willing to build their own lives on the shattered dreams of others. Some Americans who preach nonviolence abroad fail to practice it here at home. Some who accuse others of inciting riots have by their own conduct invited them.

Some looks for scapegoats, others look for conspiracies, but this much is clear; violence breeds violence, repression brings retaliation, and only a cleaning of our whole society can remove this sickness from our soul.

For there is another kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions; indifference and inaction and slow decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. This is a slow destruction of a child by hunger, and schools without books and homes without heat in the winter.

This is the breaking of a man's spirit by denying him the chance to stand as a father and as a man among other men. And this too afflicts us all. I have not come here to propose a set of specific remedies nor is there a single set. For a broad and adequate outline we know what must be done. When you teach a man to hate and fear his brother, when you teach that he is a lesser man because of his color or his beliefs or the policies he pursues, when you teach that those who differ from you threaten your freedom or your job or your family, then you also learn to confront others not as fellow citizens but as enemies - to be met not with cooperation but with conquest, to be subjugated and mastered.

We learn, at the last, to look at our brothers as aliens, men with whom we share a city, but not a community, men bound to us in common dwelling, but not in common effort. We learn to share only a common fear - only a common desire to retreat from each other - only a common impulse to meet disagreement with force. For all this there are no final answers.

Yet we know what we must do. It is to achieve true justice among our fellow citizens. The question is now what programs we should seek to enact. The question is whether we can find in our own midst and in our own hearts that leadership of human purpose that will recognize the terrible truths of our existence.

We must admit the vanity of our false distinctions among men and learn to find our own advancement in the search for the advancement of all. We must admit in ourselves that our own children's future cannot be built on the misfortunes of others. We must recognize that this short life can neither be ennobled or enriched by hatred or revenge.

Our lives on this planet are too short and the work to be done too great to let this spirit flourish any longer in our land. Of course we cannot vanish it with a program, nor with a resolution.

But we can perhaps remember - even if only for a time - that those who live with us are our brothers, that they share with us the same short movement of life, that they seek - as we do - nothing but the chance to live out their lives in purpose and happiness, winning what satisfaction and fulfillment they can.

Surely this bond of common faith, this bond of common goal, can begin to teach us something. Surely we can learn, at least, to look at those around us as fellow men and surely we can begin to work a little harder to bind up the wounds among us and to become in our hearts brothers and countrymen once again.

Shaun King: Georgia Residents Mused Killing Black People in Facebook Group, Ahmaud Arbery Killing Followed

Ahmaud Arbery of Georgia was killed in Feb in an apparent
conspiracy that may have included several white community
residents.
Social justice worker Shaun King just broke a story tying the murder of Ahmaud Arbery to a secret Facebook group whose members publicly mused killing black people.

Writes King on Twitter:

"Neighbors have just sent me screenshots of other posts in their private Facebook group of Satilla Shores residents saying they indeed planned on killing the wrong (Black) people who came in their neighborhood if they got the chance to do so."

Bernie Sanders Connects; While Dem Establishment Schemes to Throw Race to Party Insiders

A South Carolina Democratic Party surrogate is clearing up misconceptions about the Democratic Party being democratic.

"The party decides its nominee. The public doesn’t really decide the nominee. The public gets to vote for the President of the United States," said former South Caroline State Sen. Anton Gunn (D) on MSNBC this morning.

The Party glorified by State Sen Gunn has a Soviet ring to it.

Meanwhile, another poll shows Bernie Sanders defeating Trump in the general election in a critical swing state.

Bloomber's Racist Rant Caught on Video

Mike Bloomberg is running to win, or at
least to block Bernie Sanders from winning
the Democratic  nomination.
Above flyer was left at door of
frequent voters in Fitchburg, Wisconsin
two days after Iowa caucuses.
If Michael Bloomberg's stop-and-frisk black and brown people on sight were not sufficient to disqualify the oligarch from consideration, the following video certainly is.

Bloomberg is a racist.

Now-a-days this pathology is not a disqualification with the special interests who dominate the Democratic Party.

The Democratic Party is horrible.

Please circulate the video widely.

It will make your sick.

Racism is now part and parcel of the dems.

Trump Admin Is Anti-Semitic, Racist Human Garbage Demanding Challenge by Decent People

"It is an old, old story. It is one repeated over and over
again in history. When the wolves of hate are loosed
on one people, then no one is safe. ... This too
is a harvest of those so-called Christian ministers
who have chosen to preach hate instead of compassion.
Let them now find pious words and raise
their hands in deploring the bombing of a synagogue."
—  Ralph McGill,
A Church, A School
Atlanta Constitution, Oct. 13, 1958
Updated - Madison, Wisconsin — It's been clear for years Donald Trump is a racist and anti-Semite who used the far-right to cobble together an improbable Electoral College majority.

Recall the first days of Trump's term in 2017 when this gang of idiots babbled on about Holocaust Remembrance Day, it got worse three months later.

Any analyses on we, America, political culture, coming together, healing are so much blather. Any both-sides, false equivalence nonsense should be challenged.

The people who commit these acts of terror and spew hate know their kindred garbage in the White House.

All are the enemy of decent, intelligent Americans.

The Trump administration should be renounced and repudiated as collaborators.

Pittsburgh is the work of the Republican Party's decades-long, divide-and-conquer and demonization effort.

This is not us, not America, this is one Party under Trump who has summoned forth killers to take center stage on Trump's grand show, unbowed by his "bad hair" day incurred after the massacre.

Trump got what he wanted, and noone can say they didn't see this coming.

Trump this morning tweeted his thoughts on how the perpetrators of the massacre were given aid — by the media:

Republican-supporting Americans. Do you get it?

Writes Jonathan A. Greenblatt this morning in the NYT:

More than 100 years ago, the lynching of a Jewish factory superintendent, Leo Frank, in Marietta, Ga., shocked the Jewish community and the nation. It directly led to the formation of the A.D.L. to fight anti-Semitism.

The Pittsburgh massacre should be a similar shock to us today, waking us up to the anti-Semitism and hate in our midst and reminding us all that the fight against them must be diligently fought at every turn by each and every one of us.

Every one of us.

Reminds me of what our friend, Mikey Weinstein, said when asked, "Are we facing the same level of hate that we faced in the late 1950s and early 60s?"

Said Mikey:

No, we’re not. It’s far worse. … [For example,] the situation with this thing with [Col Donald] Higgins is Higgins might probably try to argue that the Jews blew their own synagogue up themselves. The most base, evil, cold, calculated, old-school type of anti-Semitism, Mike, is simply telling lies about Jews.

That was nine years ago.

Weinstein runs the Military Religious Freedom Foundation which publishes its hate mail.

You want to know how bad it is today? Consider a typical piece of hate mail, given a response by Mike Farrell.

The exchange is reproduced below, and was published Oct 26, one day before the massacre at the Pittsburgh Synagogue:

Note From MRFF Editor: Mikey Weinstein and MRFF get called bigoted names often; however, antisemitism is especially common. While one might find themselves getting numb to hate referencing Nazi’s and the Holocaust, let us all remember how bad things once were. Mr.Wienstien,

I want to say a few straight things from the heart to you sir.

My husband (who a proud airman and even more prouder Christian) and I and our children belong to a Bible believing congregation of spirit filled Christian patriots not more than 2 miles from the military base we are stationed at.

For years we have watched you and your tribe attack Christian military men who spread The Redeeming Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Course you never would attack a jew man or moslem military man because you and your little tribe of bullies only target us Christians.

We airmen and our church brother snd sisters are sick of the likes of you and yours taking our free religious rights away from us because we worship Jesus. Your just a villain who picks on Christians in the armed services. Turn the other cheek? My butt we will when it comes to you.

This Halloween should be dedicated to you and the MFRF because you all are the evilest of demons and you don’t even wear a costume.
I have seen the many pictures of you and you wear your evil well sir. You should be ashamed of yourself. In the service of satan. And with a smile too.

Plus being jew you would think you would love Christians who saved your tribe from the Nazis who had just had had enough of them.

Your a disgrace to your jew clan and AF Academy our military and our America. Not your America sir. Our Great America.

Jesus will take care of you and MFRF henchmen when you die sir. Nothing you will say will save you from the flames of Lake of Fire.

We pray we get to watch and enjoy Christ’s revenge from Heaven. You reap what you sew sir. And you reap the burning of your flesh in satan’s hell forever. LEAVE US CHRISTIANS ALONE DEMON!

Do not try to talk your evil back to us with your clever voice of satan Mr. Wienstien. This e-mail will reject your satan heresy sir.

Dear (name withheld),
I’m sorry, I don’t know how to pronounce your name. I note it has an x in it. You’re not, by any chance, related to Malcolm? Somehow I don’t think so.

While I appreciate your credentials, having presented yourself as the wife of a “proud airman and even more prouder (sic) Christian,” I suggest you reconsider the grammar. But that aside, speaking “from the heart,” as you claim to do, is appreciated.

In that vein, let me point out that you’ve misspelled Mr. Weinstein’s name. I’m sure it was an innocent mistake, but I know as a good Christian you’d want to be sure you were putting things correctly.

Assuming you consider me part of Mr. Weinstein’s “tribe,” as you suggested, let me try to clarify a few things in the hope you’ll take the information back to the Bible believing congregation of spirit filled Christian patriots to which you, your husband and your children belong.

First, if you’ve actually watched our work “for years,” as you say, you’ve seriously missed the point of what we’re doing. I urge you to pay attention more closely. You see, we have no problem with “Christian military men who spread the Redeeming Word of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.” That’s their privilege, as long as they do so in the proper time, place and manner as prescribed by military regulations.

You see, if you had in fact watched our work carefully, you’d know we don’t “attack” people for their beliefs, as you have claimed here. We do have a problem, of course, when people who believe their particular faith is the one and only true belief system and demand everyone else believe just as they do or suffer the fires of whatever hell their belief provides. That contradicts every American’s constitutional right to believe as she or he chooses. It is against the law and when it happens we see that it is stopped.

Further, when you suggest, as you have here, “you never would attack a jew (sic) man or a moslem (sic) military man because you and your little tribe of bullies only target us Christians,” you’re entirely wrong. I hate to have to say that, but it’s what happens when you don’t pay close attention. (And, speaking of attention, you really should pay more of it to spelling and grammar.) To your point, we oppose the imposition of any belief system, whether the ones you’ve misspelled here or the many others, on the women and men in the military. The freedom to believe as one chooses, whether it be commitment to a religion or no religion, a faith, a creed or something of one’s own construction, is a fundamental American right, and our mission is to defend that right.

So you see, when you say you and your church brethren and sisters “are sick of the likes of you and yours taking our free religious rights away from us because we worship Jesus,” you are again, I’m sorry to say, wrong on every point. We’re not taking your “free religious rights away” and we have no problem with your worship of Jesus. Now, you may think we’re taking your rights away if you think it’s your right to shove your beliefs down the throat of others, but I can’t imagine a “spirit filled Christian” who speaks “from the heart” would do such a thing. Can you?

And that’s the critical question, isn’t it? It’s one that is raised when you call Mr. Weinstein “a villain who picks on Christians in the armed services” when he does nothing of the kind. Because he calls out bigots who demean those who don’t share their belief system and some of those bigots happen to call themselves Christians doesn’t make Mr. Weinstein a villain, it just exposes fake Christians for what they actually are: hypocrites.

Speaking of which, Ms. Spirit Filled Christian Patriot who Speaks from the Heart, your comment about your “butt” when referring to turning the other cheek makes abundantly clear that you are one of those faux-Christians who proclaim their devotion to Jesus while picking and choosing which of his teachings you’ll honor and which you’ll ignore.

How does Jesus feel, do you suppose, when someone who claims to be a “spirit filled Christian” could even think of the words, “Plus being jew you would think you would love Christians who saved your tribe from the Nazis who had just had had enough of them.” Have you no shame, Ms. x? No, you clearly have none. You, who claim to be a believer in Jesus, can find it in what passes for your heart to infer that it was the Jewish people and their behavior, or, truth be spoken, their very existence, that caused the Nazis to lose patience with them and eliminate millions of them – each one of whom was a brother or sister of Jesus himself – from the face of the earth.

Your casual inhumanity, madam, is disgusting. It is the kind of mindlessness that not only tolerates but creates the madness acted out by yet another crazed, hate-filled person in Pittsburg, PA, yesterday who slaughtered human beings because he, too, “had had enough of them.” I suspect he, too, was filled with spirit. One wonders, in comparing their results, how different his spirit is from your own.

So now, having clarified just who you are and where you stand, I can properly file your hopelessly anti-grammatical, grossly misspelled message and your embarrassingly incoherent attacks on Mr. Weinstein and the MRFF in the round file with the rest of the painfully stupid messages we get from self-righteous people like you who claim to be passionately devoted to Christ yet because they have no comprehension of the true meaning of Christianity, treat it like a cult.

Under Trump, DoD Is Abruptly Discharging Immigrants Serving in Army on Scurrilous Grounds

The white supremacist Trump administration has abruptly discharged dozens of immigrant U.S. Army reservists and recruits, the Associated Press reports.

Martha Mendoza and Garance Burke report:

The AP was unable to quantify how many men and women who enlisted through the special recruitment program have been booted from the Army, but immigration attorneys say they know of more than 40 who have been discharged or whose status has become questionable, jeopardizing their futures.

'It was my dream to serve in the military,' said reservist Lucas Calixto, a Brazilian immigrant who filed a lawsuit against the Army last week. 'Since this country has been so good to me, I thought it was the least I could do to give back to my adopted country and serve in the United States military.'

An Army report obtained by an immigration attorney, featured in an AP video, notes that one servicemember was discharged after Army investigators discovered an American flag on the man's cell phone and an Army bumper sticker on his car, activity that the Army claimed in a report is "suspicious."

This is more purging of American society by the Trump adminstration which has become openly racist and aggressive in the preceding weeks following its targeting of immigrant families and the forced relocation of children into internment centers and cages.

Cop Problem — NBA Player Sterling Brown Files Federal Civil Rights Action Against Cops and Milwaukee

Updated - "The NBA's Sterling Brown, who was tased and arrested earlier this year after an altercation stemming from a parking violation, filed a lawsuit Tuesday against the city of Milwaukee, the police chief and the eight officers involved in his arrest," reports CNN.

"Key to the suit will be one of the officers' alleged social media posts, which appear to celebrate the actions of the officers, three of whom were suspended without pay. Though an initial police report described Brown as aggressive, Police Chief Alfonso Morales has since apologized for the officers' behavior, saying they acted 'inappropriately.' Mayor Tom Barrett said, 'No citizen should be treated this way.'

Sterling Brown found out the hard way Milwaukee Police are malignant and racist.

Morales treated the cop attack like a breach of etiquette. Barrett cried crocodile tears.

Named as defendants in the action are: POLICE ALFONSO MORALES, in his Official capacity, SERGEANT SEAN A. MAHNKE, SERGEANT JEFFREY S. KRUEGER, OFFICER JOSEPH J. GRAMS, OFFICER BOJAN SAMARDZIC, OFFICER JAMES P. COLLINS, OFFICER CRISTOBAL MARTINEZ AVILA, OFFICER ERIK A. ANDRADE, and OFFICER JASON P. JENSEN.

After tasing, beating and arresting Brown for a parking ticket, the cops took to social media to ridicule and belittle Brown.
Brown in his civil rights complaint offers an indictment of the Wisconsin cop problem and systemic racism directed at citizens by racist cops.

Reads the complaint:

20. This imbalance in violence against African Americans by police officers is particularly rampant in the State of Wisconsin. Mesic et al., The Relationship Between Structural Racism and Black-White Disparities in Fatal Police Shootings at the State Level , 110, Journal of the National Medical Association, 106, 110 (2018). 21.

21. In Wisconsin, over fifteen unarmed African Americans are shot by police officers for every individual unarmed white person shot by a police officer.
In Wisconsin, racist cops thrive in the para-military goon squads because in part they enjoy the political protection of liberal mayors in Milwaukee and Madison.

Racist Milwaukee cops such as Erik A. Andrade openly ridiculed and mocked Brown because "he and other Defendant officers are allowed to engage in unlawful attacks and arrests of African Americans without justification and then relish such events without any fear of real discipline," the suits says, (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel).

Wisconsin Police Chief Caught on Video Mocking Folks with Racist Commentary while Surveiling Black-while-Eating Group

DeForest Police Chief Daniel Furseth is a racist
cop and noted scum-bag who rose through the
ranks of the DeForest Police Dept where
racism opens doors to white cop careers.

Cop problem surfaces again

Who is the voice of the vile racist on new cop video?

It's the Chief of Police in DeForest, Wisconsin

Madison, Wisconsin — A group of five young friends out to grab something to eat provoked a reaction in a hidden observer commenting on the folks gathering in a restaurant parking lot, (You Tube video).

The five friends are black, hence worthy of racist vitriol by the bigoted observer who mocked the people with hyperbolic commentary intended as ridiculing black vernacular that served as faux narrative on video and that has been preserved to shine light on racist Wisconsin cops.

The bigot is DeForest, Wisconsin Police Chief Dan Furseth, a typical white Wisconsin cop — hateful, ignorant and racist, (WISC-TV, Schultz, Wisconsin State Journal).

The video was made by a man working with the DeForest Police Dept as a police intern in 2007. The intern posted the video on YouTube in 2015.

The video offers insight into the character of Wisconsin municipal police departments, an open secret.

The cops are white, hostile, anti-social, criminal and dishonest.

The police are protected by their local governments, and cops use their position allied with small-town bureaucrats to harass, fine, engage in character assassination, and even to kill.

DeForest Police Chief Daniel Furseth is a racist cop who
upon viewing five young black men mocked the group
in some faux black slang with a demeaning, racist and
derogatory narrative of the folks' character because
they were black. Video is linked here, and is posted below.
As described by the former police intern, who goes by the name of Defiant Drone Pilot, racist cop Daniel Furseth was so comfortable emitting racist commentary, Furseth spoke into the cell phone he borrowed to use the then-still-novel video feature, in the apparent and valid belief other DeForest cops shared the values and racist viewpoints towards black folks.

Writes Defiant Drone Pilot in a chronicling of the incident accompanying his YouTube video:

Now you may ask 'how did I get this footage'? Well simple, when I was duped into thinking that the police were really out to help you back in 2007, I was stupid enough to do my internship with DeForest PD (yes, we all make mistakes, don’t judge). Foreskin wanted to borrow my video camera since it was so small and can fit into a pocket and THIS is some of the great footage he captured with it. Is it real? Yes, 100%, this is the actual voice of DeForest Police Chief Daniel Furseth. This is his actual character and some of his actual beliefs that he instills into all his officers, all 100% white males. He even made a comment about what he thought about people of color serving on his department, suffice it to say, it would not happen on his watch.

What’s more is that during my police internship, EVERY DeForest police officer I met showed racist tendencies and beliefs.

WISC-TV reports the racist cop is on paid administrative leave:

Chief Dan Furseth has been on administrative leave since May 23, Village Administrator Steve Fahlgren said.

News 3 approached Furseth at his home Friday morning, but he declined to speak with News 3, saying he was 'busy.'

Of course Furseth was busy. He needs to plan where he is going to spend his retirement after he resigns and Furseth gets his generous pension package for years served as a racist cop.

From the DeForest Times:

'Ok, we is out on our dates,' Furseth is heard saying. 'We got the (bitches), we gonna get them, and we gonna give them food. I got my cane, I’ve gots (sic) my suit,' Furseth said. 'Oh baby … Ok boys, let’s go in. This is the (fanciest) restaurant we ever been to and it’s called the Steak ‘N Shake.'

'Unbelievable,' Furseth continues, dropping the accent. ...

City Administrator Fahlgren said Furseth agreed to be placed on paid leave May 23, and an independent investigation has since been launched by a Boulder, Colorado firm.

'Basically, we felt – and he agreed – that him being on leave would make sense," Fahlgren said.

The investigation is looking into Furseth specifically, according to Fahlgren, and whether a culture of racism is pervasive within his department.

Whitewashing Racism

Wisconsin police are a destructive force, a continual threat to society, and yet as a public affairs issue in this campaign season, Wisconsin's cop problem gets little play.

Whether folks live in Madison, Fitchburg, Stoughton or DeForest, the constant is police departments are staffed with dishonorable people. [Note: I caught Fitchburg PD trying to plant evidence in our yard in Feb. 2017 at about 1:00 a.m in an apparent corrupt and defamatory attempt to link me to a car accident blocks away. This after I blew the whistle on Fitchburg's continual voter obstruction against blacks and young people in alder dist one the Summer before.].
---
The reaction from DeForest Village Administrator Steve Fahlgren (white) is telling.

Fahlgren does not condemn the open racism, the hate, and the malice of Police Chief Daniel Furset. No outrage. No shock.

Reports WISC-TV:

The village hired someone to look into 'other potential social media racial misconduct,' Village Administrator Fahlgren said.

'We don't want our department to have a bad reputation,' Fahlgren said.

Reputation and damage control are the objectives here, not the institutional racism of the DeForest Police Dept.

On a personal note, as a 54-year resident of Wisconsin, I can report racist and malignant police are as authentically and pervasively Wisconsin as cold weather in February.

From Defiant Drone Pilot

Published on Dec 2, 2015

This is what the stupid, ignorant, and imbecilic Village of DeForest elects to be their “Top Cop.” This is the racist Chief of Police Daniel Furseth, who is much like the rest of DeForest, poorly educated, socially intolerant, and completely incompetent when it comes to federal law (you know the one that trumps state and local law when it’s in conflict with it). Only a redneck and backassward community like DeForest would want someone like this as a Chief to keep the black man out.

Now you may ask “how did I get this footage”?

I did have to “bait” them to elicit these tendencies “Borat style” but I was genuinely interested in what kind of person the “community” authorizes to take away someone’s freedom at their discretion, and it horrified me to the bone. Aside racism there was also an immense culture of corruption at DeForest PD. As a juvenile I was subject to an unlawful arrest based on planted evidence and false police reports by DeForest Police Officer Diana O’neill. And when I brought about my grievance to Dan Furseth during my internship, he basically told me something to the effect of “you were a little shit so you deserved it”. Well Dan, you and your department deserve to be exposed! Because tolerating corruption is in my opinion the same as committing it.

Here is some “food for thought” to contemplate as you watch this ... .

What if DeForest PD was to get caught up shooting an unarmed black man? Would the surfacing of this video mean anything? Would it mean nothing at all since he is just expressing his right to free speech? Does he have free speech rights being a peace officer? He told me he does not during the internship.

And while you are at it, think about aerial cameras (AKA "drones") being used to capture LEO's (police officers) committing civil rights/civil liberties violations against people of color. Think about how upset the LEO's would be that they cannot shoot your camera-of-truth out of the sky (under federal law it is actually an act of terrorism since a UAV is an aircraft). They cannot confiscate it out of your hand and smash it, kind of hard when it's hovering 100+ ft above you. They cannot (physically) get ahold of it and delete the incriminating footage. The truth is - the Law Enforcement Officers are scared to death of aerial cameras! Keep posted to see what great lengths they go to in order to silence the Defiant Drone Pilot for posting this truthful video.
There are mid-term elections this year. Every candidate for public office should be addressing the vile, pervasive and invidious Wisconsin cop problem.

Video of racist cop is below:

It is the intention of this site, Mal Contends, to continue as a vehicle of reporting, analysis and commentary of Wisconsin police misconduct.

Cop Problem Looms in Early Wisconsin Summer and Mid-term Primary Elections

The face of hate in Madison, Wisconsin wears military-
blue-and-black. Killers Justin Bailey and Gary Pihlaja
have bad attitudes and they found a home with
local police in Madison, Wisconsin before gunning
down 26-year-old Ashley DiPiazza in 2014.
Madison, Wisconsin — It's early Summer in Wisconsin this morning, beautiful outside. Each day, each breath is a celebration.

Yet, many will be killed and harassed the next few months by a vicious and mindless gang, the cops.

In Wisconsin's two largest cities, the cops have the political backing of the local liberal mayors, Tom Barrett in Milwaukee and Paul Soglin in Madison.

In Milwaukee the ugly, cop attack on Sterling Brown this year showed on video the true colors of police. Certainly, many who watched the video thought, 'at least they didn't kill him this time.' Small favors from the Evangelicals, Trumpists and assorted brutal human garbage in military-black-and-blue who have become the menace few openly oppose.

The Milwaukee cop attack on Mr. Brown was relentless — insulting, taunting, racist, hostile, aimed-to-provoke a reaction and inflict humiliation and anger, (it's a cop tactic) — until the cops finally decided to taser and beat the black man for apparently parking not very well over two handicapped spots in the middle of the night before the man picked something up at a local Walgreen's.

SOP in Milwaukee and the suburbs. SOP everywhere, daily. Residents are by-standers, and in Milwaukee Barrett, the mayor no less, is afraid to take on this armed gang of punks and thugs.

What kind of people treat other others in the manner caught on the Brown video? Scum-bags, in other words — cops. It's who this gang wants to be — violent, opposed to all outside the gang, and loyal to each other against the public interest.

Our beautiful Summer comes during a major election year.

Madison's Paul Soglin is running for the Democratic Party nomination for governor. The race is wide-open. Absentee voting begins June 28 for the partisan primary in some two weeks.

Soglin should be a natural for gov. Anybody visiting Madison knows why.

The world-class university, UW-Madison, is connected by State Street to the Capitol, ringed by bars, restaurants and boutique shops. The Capitol is connected by Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd to Lake Monona and the Monona Terrace and Convention Center, as envisioned and designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.

Soglin has pursued a high-wage local economy, a progressive social agenda and the results to any fair-minded observer are impressive.

Soglin deserves credit for Madison, its libraries and its elections, all together that are nothing short of magnificent, continually drawing the ire of Gov. Scott Walker (R) who in policy and rhetoric demeans Madison to the point of actually shooing away $100s of millions in federal money, lest Madison becomes an even more fervent oasis offensive to the current fundamentalist Wisconsin governor.

There's another side of Madison though that's glossed over, and Soglin is the major collaborator of this daily exercise in indecency.

It may cost Soglin the nomination on Election Day, Aug. 14. It should.

It was July 2, 2016 and after the Madison police killed another unarmed man, Paul Soglin reportedly decided he needed to say something.

But not about the police, not challenging the killing, not vowing to use every lever of the Mayor's office to stop the killing, and certainly not eviscerating the Madison Police Dept.

No, Soglin publicly castigated the Madison community in 2016 warning the police will continue to kill people and it's the public's fault, the victims' fault, (WISC-TV, WKOW-TV, Isthmus, Mal Contends). Read links above and tell me Soglin was not indecent for his lack of empathy of killer-cop victims.

It was an incredibly cold-blooded statement, and Soglin's reptilian psychology locked in the biggest political knock on Soglin: He's out-of-touch, even pathologically incapable of identifying with victims of police violence and brutality.

In 2017, a record $7 million was awarded to the family of young Ashley DiPiazza after two Madison cops gunned her down in cold blood in 2014. Though Madison cops and Soglin did not, and do not see this young woman as a human being, it is worth affirming Ashley DiPiazza was a human being — a beautiful, young woman gunned down by people for whom life means little.

Said DiPiazza's grieving father in 2017: "She had just told me all her friends were married and had kids, and she felt a little left out. She’d ask, ‘Dad, what kind of mother do you think I’d make to my child?’ I told her she’d be great," (Schultz, Wisconsin State Journal).

Forget good-health professionals. No family member ever fully recovers from vicious killings of the young.

Not the family and friends of Paul Heenan, gunned down by Madison cops in 2012. City settled for $2.3 million in 2015.

Not the family and friends of Tony Robinson, gunned down by Madison cops in 2015. City settled for $3.35 million in 2017.

"City of Madison insurance costs have risen by more than 42 percent over the past three years after the city has agreed or been ordered to pay nearly $13 million in two settlements and a jury award in three fatal police shootings," reports the Wisconsin State Journal this morning.

The reasons explaining why police kill so many people, harass so many people, imprison so many people are many.

But one thing is certain. Cops would not inflict a vicious assault against society in Madison, if the police did not have the full backing of Mayor Paul Soglin.

I have seen what Madison and area police are capable of and police misconduct, deceit, character assassination and violence are the defining features of these municipal gangs, and as much as anybody Paul Soglin should be counted in the company of the guilty.

RFK 50 Years Later

The effort made today. RFK warned about the danger of
timid bystanders on June 6, 1966. Said Kennedy:
"And everyone here will ultimately be judged
- will ultimately judge himself -
on the effort he has contributed to building a new
world society and the extent to which his ideals
and goals have shaped that effort."
Day of Affirmation Address (News Release Version),
University of Capetown, Capetown, South Africa,
June 6, 1966. Pictured above is national rally for peace;
Washington D.C., October 2003
"We learn, at the last, to look at our brothers as aliens, men with whom we share a city, but not a community, men bound to us in common dwelling, but not in common effort. We learn to share only a common fear - only a common desire to retreat from each other - only a common impulse to meet disagreement with force," said RFK on April 5, 1968, the day after the assassination of King.

A common effort? Laughable. What would Robert Kennedy say today?

RFK would be appalled by the police-prosecutor-prison state that destroys lives, life after life, family after family.

Absent a radical new project on the role of the police and an evaluation of the structures of our society, millions more Americans, human beings, will be lost.

A new generation is carrying the torch.

The Fight for Peace and Safety — Outlaws and Danger Among Us Are the Police

Sterling Brown, another victim of racist Milwaukee cops
speaks out for safety of community facing the threat
of police protected by Milwaukee city government.
Municipal police are a clear and present danger to the lives, liberty and health of citizens, especially black and brown citizens.

This truth is incontrovertible, yet remains a reality largely ignored by traditional checks on criminality such as the local press.

Sterling Brown of the Milwaukee Bucks speaks out against the Milwaukee cops, an outlaw band of religious fundies, racists, and anti-social misfits who nevertheless enjoy the protection of the Milwaukee mayor, police administration and Milwaukee-area fascists.

From Sterling Brown

My experience in January with the Milwaukee Police Department was wrong and shouldn’t happen to anybody. What should have been a simple parking ticket turned into an attempt at police intimidation, followed by the unlawful use of physical force, including being handcuffed and tased, and then unlawfully booked. This experience with the Milwaukee Police Department has forced me to stand up and tell my story so that I can help prevent these injustices from happening in the future.

Situations like mine and worse happen every day in the black community. Being a voice and a face for people who won’t be heard and don’t have the same platform as I have is a responsibility I take seriously. I am speaking for Dontre Hamilton of Milwaukee, Laquan McDonald of Chicago, Stephon Clark of Sacramento, Eric Garner of New York, and the list goes on. These people aren’t able to speak anymore because of unjust actions by those who are supposed to “serve and protect” the people.

The common denominator in all of these situations has been racism towards the minority community, the abuse of power, and the lack of accountability for officers involved. The lack of repercussions for the police officers involved in so many of these cases is offensive. This is a slap in the face to the victims’ families and communities.

Black men shouldn’t have to have their guard up and instantly be on the defensive when seeing a police officer, but it’s our reality and a real problem. There must be mutual respect and both sides have to figure out how to accomplish this.

There are no easy solutions to this problem, but there are strides that can be made to create change. I will do my part in helping to prevent similar incidents from happening to the minority community in the future.

This is bigger than me. My family, friends, legal team, Priority Sports, Milwaukee Bucks, the black community and the communities of all who stand against injustice plan to continue the fight. Peaceful support to ensure no further damage to our community is the only way to respond. I know many of you will share my anger and frustration, but for our community to progress and grow, we need to build on what we already have and not destroy it. I will take legal action against the Milwaukee Police Department to continue forcing change in our community.

Philly Starbucks Racism Is a Cop Problem

Starbucks sucks, but this racism is a cop problem.
One feels lucky the cops did not shoot and kill
#Starbuckswhileblack
Editorial: Cops to black-urban types: Don't come round no more

Great reporting around the country on the Starbucks-pissing-on-scary-black-people incident in Philly today, (CBS).

Starbucks' executive chairman Howard Schultz told CBS: "There's no doubt in my mind that the reason that they (police) were called was because they were African American."

Sure. But most analyses leave out a primary culprit: Philly police, (not the New York Times, by the way).

There's no doubt in my mind that the reason police were called is because cops can be counted on to give African Americans a hard time. Objective achieved.

It should be noted why the cops acted like they did, ultimately parading these two men out and down to the police station for being black at Starbucks.

Cops did not establish and were not willing to establish the following facts: Two men did nothing illegal, were meeting a friend, and waited 15 minutes for their friend until one of the guys took a leak. Any sixth grader could have gathered these facts.

Cops took at face value the white tactic of calling police, (happens all the time in the land of the free), after which police will predictably act mindlessly and in a best-case scenario take away someone's liberty and jail them for eight hours, or write a disorderly conduct citation.

Calling police is a white political tactic, and not just in Philly.

If cops had simply ascertained a white Starbucks scum-bag doesn't like black people, is afraid of black people, and wishes to hurt black people, then they could have explained the following to the Starbucks employees:

Raciology is ridiculous
Racism is ridiculous
Black people are human
_________________
Conclusion: Stop harassing black people, it's a mostly free country. And if you don't like it, go settle a white homeland in Utah.

Unless there is a consequence of docking employees and cops' salaries, better yet firing these idiots, for harassing these two men, this shit will continue.

This happens because cops back up anyone harassing black people or the target of the moment, presumed guilty. Starbucks surely sucks. But so do cops.

AR-15s Good 'Wound Ballistics' Make this Semi-automatic Fully Wonderful for Many

AR-15-style rifles were used by Bulletproof

AR-15 semi-auto rifle is civilian version of U.S. military’s M-16

Good "wound ballistics from AR-15," notes The Atlantic last year

Madison, Wisconsin—In 2013, an armed right wing militia, Bulletproof Securities, Inc. patrolled the Wisconsin north woods with AR-15-style, semi-automatic rifles frightening northern communities concerned about massacre control and devastation to the environment by a now-defunct massive, open-pit mining project.

The open display of this corporate intent to massacre was the subject of wide criticism, but not from Wisconsin Republicans.

The AR-15 is everything you need for home defense or killing terrorists and black men (what's the difference?), or a mining protestor. And, of course, young adults, students.

Now, the newest massacre from Florida using the AR-15-style rifle finds some Americans wondering if massacre is good public policy.

I have no faith in Republicans in Congress or the lunatic in the White House coming to the conclusion that massacre control is needed. Too many lunatics for whom Republicans work.

From USA Today:

Everything armed guards need for pesky Wisconsin protestors.
Pictured above is AR-15-style rifle by an employee of Bulletproof
operating without a license in northern Wisconsin in 2013.
Dean Hazen, owner of The Gun Experts in Mahomet, Ill., and a master firearms instructor, said the reason mass shooters are turning to the AR-15 is due to a 'copy-cat' mentality more than any feature of the rifle.

'It’s really just a perception thing,' Hazen said. 'There are rifles that are more powerful and more dangerous than that, but they're not being used.'

Hazen said the AR-15 has "gotten a bad rap."

Actually, the rap on AR-15s is well-deserved, and the fact that more dangerous weapons exist does not disconfirm the recent history of American massacres from AR-15s.

From the Miami Herald, quoting a 14-year-old: "... Until we heard screaming and people, not falling, but crashing when they were barricading the door. We knew it wasn’t a joke anymore."

We could have 18 massacres a month, and Republicans would still not do anything for fear of alienating the NRA.

You want massacre control?

Vote out every Republican across America as a first step.

Below, in a video from 2017, the Atlantic's James Fallows discusses another mass shooting—who can remember which one out of the many that have occurred.

Fitchburg, Wisconsin—Creating a Slush Fund in the Scott Walker Era

Fitchburg, Wisconsin is a freak show.
Corruption in Plain Sight in the Rats' Nest of Dane County Wisconsin

Fitchburg, Wisconsin—This isn't about the money; it's about making a "better way" to fund community non-profits, said Fitchburg ald. Tony Hartmann in an October email to Mal Contends.

It is about the money.

What Hartmann calls media "misinformation" about a proposed Common Council scheme to fund nonprofit groups draws laughter, anger and the start of a recall-the-Mayor initiative in this politically progressive community with the Republican-dominated City Hall, police department and elected municipal government.

With growing minority and young populations here, Fitchburg civil and elected officials have accelerated a Republican program to consolidate political power as this city becomes a flashpoint as Gov. Scott Walker kicks in 2018 reelection mode.

In Fitchburg, Wisconsin, Gov. Scott Walker has been defeated at
the ballot box. Above are the results for Fitchburg in the 2014
general election
. First column is the total votes, second column is
Dem. nominee Mary Burke's votes, and third column is Walker's.
Gov. Scott Walker, (R), made numerous public visits to Fitchburg since becoming governor in 2011. At the ballot box, though, Walker was clobbered here in the 2014 general and 2012 recall elections. In ald dist one, (one of four voting districts composed of 19 wards), Mary Burke defeated Scott Walker with 1,528 votes for Burke and 410 votes for Walker out of 1,966 votes cast for a 77 percent to 20 percent defeat of Walker in the 2014 general election. Since 2014, incidents of voter obstruction and harassment of voters by white poll workers and white Fitchburg City Clerk staff, Patti Anderson and Tracy Oldenburg, have increased in wards one-four, district one, as has been documented and stated publicly at municipal civic trials by former Fitchburg poll worker, ((2007-2016), Mal Contends).

On the Fitchburg Common Council, Hartmann, Ald Julia Arata-Fratta and Mayor Jason Gonzalez, (after amassing a wide coalition in his 2016-17 campaign), have thrown in with Republicans on the eight-member Council, and are eyeing money in the city's Community Development Grant Program, (CEDA), to be used as a slush fund [information describing the city's CEDA including how to apply, was posted on the city website Aug. 18, 2017 some five weeks before Mayor Jason Gonzales posted his proposed 2018 budget calling for the "removal" of $110,000 in non-profit funding, (The Capital Times)].

We want that money

"Fitchburg Alds. Julia Arata Fratta, Dan Carpenter and Dorothy Krause are sponsoring an amendment to the proposed 2017 budget that would remove club funding from the city budget and put it under the control of the Community Economic Development Authority, whose eight members would decide how to allocate it," notes The Capital Times in 2016.

Many Fitchburg residents are watching whether Arata Fratta-linked non-profits have become new applicants for the slush fund, if the budget proposal gets passed.
---
Meanwhile recall alders and mayor efforts continue as political observes gaming out scenarios fish around for mayoral candidates in a possible 2018 recall election, including perennial mayoral candidate Jay Allen, a supporter of several Republican Party congressional nominees, including John Sharpless, Dave Magnum and the far-right fringe candidate, Ron Greer

GOP-run Fitchburg, Wisconsin Looks to Zero-out Funds for Popular Community Non-Profits

Fitchburg, Wisconsin Republicans Become Objects of Disgust in Budget Spectacle

Fitchburg, Wisconsin — Elected in April 2017, first-term Mayor Jason Gonzalez did not run on a Republican platform to eliminate funding for community non-profits.

That's because local politicians here do not publicly oppose successful community initiatives anymore than national politicians want to go on record against Social Security and Medicare-Medicaid.

The only plausible way for local Republicans to cut all funding to popular nonprofit organizations here is: Cut all funding for nonprofit organizations and then deny this black-and-white budgetary commitment in Mayor Gonzalez' proposed 2018 budget, (Facebook).

Among Gonzalez and his diminishing political coalition black is white and $0.00 equals $110,000.

Gonzalez' proposed 2018 budget calls for the "removal" of $110,000 in non-profit funding from the 2018 budget, (The Capital Times).

Gonzalez and his campaign manager, Ald Tony Hartmann, say this proposed budgetary cut comes because they have found a "better way," (Hartmann's term), of funding the non-profits: By not funding the non-profits.

Only Fitchburg politicians holding the citizenry in contempt could axe popular non-profit funding by offering an equally contemptuous lie.

Reads p.22 in a the Mayor's Proposed 2018 Budget, (Facebook): "The $60,000 allocated to the private charitable partners was removed from the 2018 budget. The $50,000 in property tax funding for the CEDA, (Community and Economic Development Authority), community grant program was also removed."

Hartmann and Gonzalez' effort is underhanded and disingenuous, continuing a long hostility of white Fitchburg Republicans against its growing minority citizenry.

The budgetary cuts that Gonzales and Hartmann implausibly say are not cuts have caused community outrage as the political world in progressive Dane County viewing the scandal steps up to contribute to the Boys and Girls Club of Dane County, one of the targeted-by-Fitchburg non-profits.

U.S. Rep. Mark Pocan, (Madison), after hearing the news solicited over $3,000 in new funding for the Boys and Girls Club in the second congressional district. Taco Bell, the restaurant chain, has contributed $10,000. Other contributions are coming in to make up for the underhanded Fitchburg Mayor's budgetary scheme, (Facebook). (See Michael Johnson in Facebook for updates).

No municipal scandal in Dane County has ever caused the local congressional member, restaurant chains and community members to roll their eyes with such collective political disgust.

Ald. Tony Hartmann, Mayor Jason Gonzalez and Fitchburg Republicans have politically tied their future to this scheme and their credibility is in the offing.

A public hearing in Fitchburg, Wisconsin on the zeroing of funding for non-profits is tonight.
