Wisconsin, Race and Election Time

Sauk County Wisconsin is pictured above. I love Sauk County,
and it's only real sin is not voting for neo-lib, corporatist
Democrats enough to assuage corporate media.
Madison, Wisconsin — Reporting from Baraboo, (Sauk County), Dionne Searcey has a fine piece on racism, rural Wisconsin and the 2024 elections in the New York Times this morning.

"No Politics and No Religion," read prominent notes in the Square Tavern in Baraboo (Facebook), reports Searcey.

Topics leave too many bad feelings; like hitting on a man's girlfriend, or drinking someone's beer.

The problem with Ms. Searcey's reporting, like every corporate-liberal politicos', is a fundamentalist embrace of identity politics and the Standard Social Scientific Model of human nature that is almost Skinnerean-Behaviorist in its hidebound smugness.

Identity politics are what the progressive heretic, Matt Taibbi, derides as dogma that human beings are the walking "embodiment" of every contrived aspect of their identity, as imposed by the liberal priests of academia, corporate media and the Democratic Party.

You think you know who you are, readers? No. You are what the liberal elites say you are. Forget your character, it's your skin color.

Identity politics, as nonsensical as it is, serves a purpose. It's a cover for the Democratic Party's embrace of war (and Genocide), and long-term abandonment of the working class. And this does cause resentment.

Searcey touches on this:

Jerry Helmer, the Sauk County Republican Party chairman, said what voters in Sauk County are worried about is the economy, and they think Democratic elites such as Ms. Harris do not care about the middle class. 'I hear more and more that nobody knows what her policies are,' said Mr. Helmer, who lives outside Baraboo in Prairie du Sac and is a candidate for the state legislature. 'She comes off like a ditz.'
Mr. Helmer is right on all counts. But his brand of heresy is heard as imprecation by today's Democratic Party elites.

And when Helmer and Wisconsin, deliver Wisconsin to Donald Trump, identity politics will be a big factor; along with that whole Genocide thing that elected Democrats pretend is not happening.

Biden Hails Police in State of the Union, Fails to Mention Black Lives Matter

Joe Biden left no doubt where his commitments lie on the American police state: Police are good, Black Lives are bad.

This view predominates in Democrat politics at all levels of government, including Biden's stealth cop nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court.

Biden mentioned the "police" eight times last night, all favorably at the State of the Union address.

That’s why the American Rescue Plan provided $350 Billion that cities, states, and counties can use to hire more police and invest in proven strategies like community violence interruption—trusted messengers breaking the cycle of violence and trauma and giving young people hope.

We should all agree: The answer is not to Defund the police. The answer is to FUND the police with the resources and training they need to protect our communities.

This continues the work of Biden as the U.S. politician who has worked most over five decades to imprison more black and brown people than every single living elected representative. For a racist like Biden, the work to imprison makes him feel tough.

And Biden knows, few elected Democrats will object.

Wokists Want Cheating for Black Students at UCLA, Prof Who Said No, Suing for his Suspension and Banning

Just when one thinks cancel culture and wokism cannot become more deranged, news comes a UCLA professor, Gordon Klein, is fighting back against his past suspension and banning for his refusal to help black students cheat, (see Common Sense with Bari Weiss).

Reports Newsweek:

A University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) professor who was suspended and later reinstated for refusing to give Black students leniency on their final exams following the death of George Floyd has filed a lawsuit against the school.

Gordon Klein, who teaches financial analysis, law, and public policy at UCLA,filed a lawsuit Monday claiming that he suffered financially and emotionally because of the incident. Although he retained his position, Klein alleged he was dropped from consulting jobs at law firms and other corporations and that his reputation was tarnished as a result.

Klein discussed his reasons for suing the school with a post on the website 'Common Sense with Bari Weiss' and said he was seeking unspecified damages 'not only to correct the tortures he had endured but also to protect academic freedom.'

A group of UCLA students had targeted 80 professors and demanded black UCLA students' performance on final exams be treated with "leniency," if poor grades resulted, specifying that the grades be registered only if black students did well.

This "no harm" grading system for black students only was demanded following the George Floyd murder.

Klein refused, and was summarily suspended and banned from the UCLA campus, (see Common Sense with Bari Weiss) before being reinstated in Oct 2020.

Now, Klein is suing the University of California system, (Reason).

Writes Klein: "As I noted in my legal complaint, the student clarified, in a subsequent conversation with a university investigator, that he 'intended that the requested adjustments apply to Black students and not the class generally.'"

Klein had sent a reply to the student claiming to speak for all black students, and was met with a shower of invective; "One email, dated June 11, read: 'You are a typical bigoted, prejudiced and racist dirty, filthy, crooked, arrogant Jew kike mother f**ker! Too bad Hitler and the Nazis are not around to give you a much needed Zyklon B shower.'"

This is the mentality of wokes who would judge people by skin color, disregarding character and all other qualities and commitment, as they sink into old-school anti-Semitism.

Woke Critical Race Advocates Preach Dogma, Division and Taboo Morality

Updated - Madison, Wisconsin —  I am a "racist," "white supremacist," "Trumpist," "sheep," "rightwinger," wearer of "white hoods" who wants America to return to the 1950s, amid a "white patriarchal" commitment of my writing — a redolent, damning "choice of words" marking me an accredited racist.

I didn't know about any of this before I posted few comments about Critical Race Theory, (CRT) and "(m)y problem with sprawling iterations of CRT is it preaches whites are per force racist, wokists address me as 'white man' and so on."

But it turns out a less-than-courageous band of woke critical race theory zealots, who hide behind pseudonyms on Twitter, have divined the truth about me.

Not big readers, my suggestions to wokists to read my actual writing on racism elicited no commentary on how evidence tracks with defamation.

No, evidence is about as popular a concept as suggestions to read Norman Cohn's work on blood libel, myth and racism.

My request for evidence did bring further accusations of my being "racist," and assertions that evidentiary requests show how "fragile" and "fearful" I am of the coming end of my "reign."

My initial post on Twitter, replying to an exchange on CRT, again, reads: "Not Marxist. My problem with sprawling iterations of CRT is it preaches whites are per force racist, wokists address me as "white man" and so on. In my city, school district instruct 'whites over here, colored over here' in discussing current events like Floyd murder."

But this next post seemed to elicit no comment: "
CRT history is mostly correct, but CRT veers into nonsense in other fields. When I read a wokist, I think of my neighbor, WW II vet, walking his his dog past my home. A man of honor, I listen; he can't stand long these days, so chats are shorter. Bob is white, Bob is no racist."

In any event, the wokists attempted to brand me racist, and cancel me.

"
The cancel culture, a witch hunt by self-appointed moral arbiters of speech, has become the boutique activism of a liberal class that lacks the courage and the organizational skills to challenge the actual centers of power — the military-industrial complex, lethal militarized police, the prison system, Wall Street, Silicon Valley, the intelligence agencies that make us the most spied upon, watched, photographed and monitored population in human history, the fossil fuel industry, and a political and economic system captured by oligarchic power," notes Chris Hedges.

Then there's e.m. lake, apparently dispossessed of rational thought, but always ready to shout out, 'you're a racist.'

It's the way it is now with wokists, CRT zealots, and cancel kooks.

You get the picture. The CRT/woke bunch are malicious, petulant, and damaged psyches.

Stay tuned. Most American voters who have worked their lives to become decent, principled people may not like being termed "racist" because of their color.

Then again, one can find solace in Norman Kelly, an independent thinker who won't drink the Kool Aid.

Diversity Idiocy Is Rearing Its Head, Looking for Big Money Following Chauvin Verdict

Vicki McKenna is a heretic and radio
personality in Madison, Wisconsin.
Update: Madison West High School principal apologizes for email scheduling racially segregated meetings

Madison, Wisconsin — Diversity consultants look to ramp up their snake oil sales in the wake of important legal victories against racism, especially George Floyd.

Race consultants are making out like bandits sermonizing their fallacious drivel to corporations, police departments, universities, and all manner of education.

Here in Madison, Wisconsin local radio personality Vicki McKenna has had enough.

Vicki McKenna blew the whistle on the Madison Metropolitan School District's politically correct-identity politics tripe in the wake of the verdict against the killer cop Derek Chauvin.

The School District featured Zoom links for "white parents" and for "parents of color," in strict accordance to the ridiculous way liberal dogma describes race and racism.

This idiocy was too much. Writes McKenna:

McKenna is right. Her tweet was picked up by Glenn Greenwald who added his own experience with the separate-by-color, identity politics practice.

Most of us have had our own experience with diversity consultants.

At one well-meaning company, (though the diversity consultants were cynical), a week-long diversity training seminar feature consultants explaining that we all have biases, a comment on human nature that we are just empty vessels to be filled somehow with prejudices, with no mention how critical reasoning and independent thinking played into who we are.

On the last day, each of the seminar participants confessed to her bias. Some mentioned Italian people, some mentioned black people, and so on.

When it my turn, I announced I had no biases and I was disappointed that everyone had jettisoned rational thinking to adopt bigotries. It's idiocy.

A friend at the company asked how the seminar went and I told her. She said, her admission of people against whom she had a bias was, 'Germans of a certain age."

Diversity consultants are good for a laugh, but this swindle is taking our country by storm.

Matt Taibbi too had a good laugh, but these corporate-consultant hucksters rake in a lot of money from credulous liberals.

Writes Taibbi in his scathing review of Robin DiAngelo’s White Fragility last year:

A core principle of the academic movement that shot through elite schools in America since the early nineties was the view that individual rights, humanism, and the democratic process are all just stalking-horses for white supremacy. The concept, as articulated in books like former corporate consultant Robin DiAngelo’s White Fragility (Amazon’s #1 seller!) reduces everything, even the smallest and most innocent human interactions, to racial power contests. ...

DiAngelo isn’t the first person to make a buck pushing tricked-up pseudo-intellectual horseshit as corporate wisdom, but she might be the first to do it selling Hitlerian race theory. White Fragility has a simple message: there is no such thing as a universal human experience, and we are defined not by our individual personalities or moral choices, but only by our racial category.

If your category is “white,” bad news: you have no identity apart from your participation in white supremacy ('Anti-blackness is foundational to our very identities… Whiteness has always been predicated on blackness'), which naturally means 'a positive white identity is an impossible goal.'

DiAngelo instructs us there is nothing to be done here, except 'strive to be less white.' To deny this theory, or to have the effrontery to sneak away from the tedium of DiAngelo’s lecturing – what she describes as 'leaving the stress-inducing situation' – is to affirm her conception of white supremacy. This intellectual equivalent of the 'ordeal by water' (if you float, you’re a witch) is orthodoxy across much of academia.
Greenwald too has been bashing this hokum for years:

Radical, independent thinkers lead the most recent movement against American racism

Let's foster young intellectuals, and not suppress their minds with dogma.

The Progressive: Fucking Garbage, Piece of Shit Pig, Socialist, Tyrant, Woman, Say Callers to Wisc Supreme Court Judge Who Noted Racism in Trump Election Case

Madison, Wisconsin — Invective and hysteria describe several phone messages left to a Wisconsin Supreme Court justice following her characterization of a Trump campaign lawsuit as "racist," "shameful" and "un-American" in Dec 12 oral arguments.

The case, decided on Dec 14 against Trump's attempt to overturn the Wisconsin election, is: 2020AP2038 Donald J. Trump, Michael R. Pence and Donald J. Trump for President, Inc.,Plaintiffs-Appellants,v. Joseph R. Biden, Kamala D. Harris, Milwaukee County Clerk c/o George L. Christenson, Milwaukee County Board of Canvassers c/o Tim Posnanski, Wisconsin Elections Commission, Ann S. Jacobs, Dane County Clerk c/o Scott McDonell and Dane County Board of Canvassers c/o Alan Arnsten,

In recordings obtained by Bill Lueders, editor of the The Progressive Magazine, through an open records request, voicemails message left for Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Jill Karofsky are sometimes hysterical and hostile, accusing the "socialist tyrant bitch" judge of protecting voter fraud, among other imagined crimes.

The Republican Party has become openly racist for the last several decades, and now works against the rights of minorities in policy, the judiciary and political rhetoric.

Writes Lueders:

In the days following her astringent questioning and subsequent vote against an effort by President Donald Trump to subvert the will of the electorate by tossing out hundreds of thousands of Wisconsin votes, state Supreme Court Justice Jill Karofsky has received a flurry of angry voicemail messages on her official court phone line.

'You got a lot of guts,' one caller stated, as recorded in an MP3 file released Wednesday [Dec 16] to The Progressive in response to an open records request. 'You refer to Trump as a king? Yet you are the tyrant bitch. You are the tyrant bitch who allows cheating and fraud to put a socialist puppet of China in the White House. Trump is not a king. Trump is a President legally elected by the people, not the fraud you allow, you fucking bitch. You’re the socialist tyrant bitch. Trump is an American patriot. And you’re fucking garbage, you fucking piece of shit pig.'
The racist Trump campaign has been virtually shut out in the judiciary, and President Biden-elect Biden will assume office on Jan 20, 2021.

Democrats' New Party Slogan Should Be "Deterring Democracy"

Madison, Wisconsin — The Democratic Party has an urgent problem: How to appear to address racism without doing anything to upset American oligarchy, and its deadly police-prosecutor-prison state.

If you are a Democrat, you need not be concerned.

Democrats are the heavyweight champs of doing nothing as the Party virtue-signals, deploys Clintonite media mascots — Zerlina Maxwell, Neera Tanden, Joy Reid, Rachel Maddow, for example, — and takes a deep dive into identity politics with Joe Biden leading the ticket.

Take Wisconsin Democrats.

There's State Sen. Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee), who described himself as rash and reactionary, co-sponsoring legislation to protect statues, and pressing trumped-up criminal charges against two Black Lives Matter protesters whom Carpenter admits are innocent.

There's the successful state Democratic effort to kick the Green Party off the Wisconsin ballot as Rachel Maddow and local media suggest civil rights and the First Amendment have no force because Dems perceive the Green Party as a "scam," to use Maddow's description.

Not one state Democrat dissented from this anti-democratic action toward the Greens, and the outlandish and narcissistic defamation of the Greens by Rachel Maddow.

In Wisconsin's leading Democratic newspaper, there's a piece this morning on the police-by-proxy phenomenon. But the story immediately falls into the identity politics-bias pit dooming understanding beyond a politically correct analysis that falsely pretends to a new and incisive understanding of human nature.

Identity Politics — Dennis Hopper and Quentin Tarantino May Save Career of Academic Whose Human Identity Is Center of Kook Storm

Madison, Wisconsin — Race traitors are among us.

Make it, Race charlatans are among us. They have betrayed us.

Correction: Race charlatans are ethnicity charlatans or People-of-color charlatans who have betrayed us, and must be banished.

Identity politics — the cuckoo, nonsensical, irrational racial conception scheme that ascribes to you your identity — has been driven into new depths of inanity, (Inside HigherEd).

From the Wisconsin State Journal comes a report of a person-of-color charlatan who has admitted to corrupting the neo-fascist, liberal human classification system popular with Democrats, some quasi-academics and those pretending to agreement.

Reports Kelly Meyerhofer in the State Journal on this scandal that would make 19th century British anthropologists shake their heads:

CV Vitolo-Haddad, a graduate student in the School of Journalism and Mass Communication who uses they/them pronouns, said they identify as Southern Italian/Sicilian. But in a series of apologies issued over the past week, they said they have distorted their ancestry, failed to correct others’ assumptions about their ethnic origins and relied on their parents’ 'conflicting stories' of their heritage.

'I have let guesses about my ancestry become answers I wanted but couldn’t prove,' Vitolo-Haddad wrote in an apology posted Sunday on the blogging platform Medium. 'I have let people make assumptions when I should have corrected them.'

In a second apology posted Tuesday, Vitolo-Haddad wrote that when asked if they identify as Black on three separate occasions, they did not say no.

'In trying to make sense of my experiences with race, I grossly misstepped and placed myself in positions to be trusted on false premises,' Vitolo-Haddad wrote. 'I went along with however people saw me. … All of those actions were deeply misguided and have caused an incredible amount of hurt for the Madison community, those I organize with, and everyone who has been exposed to this public reckoning. It was my choice and error to identify any differently.'

I feel sorry for Ms. Vitolo-Haddad.

And it-she-they-lifeform [sorry for being being Carbon-centric]-space-time-system should retract their apologies and blow the whistle on the racist ideology that is racking up actual victims as its zealots go to absurd length to protect old-school genocide and slavery in theory and practice.

CV Vitolo-Haddad did not fail to correct erroneous assumptions and also identify herself in error.

Let me explain.

She, I mean they is a Southern Italian/Sicilian. Right?

Well, I just watched Dennis Hopper explain to Christopher Walken in True Romance (Tony Scott, 1993) that the Moors invaded ancient Italy and raped a sufficient number of white Italians to make Sicilians a bonefide, how did Hopper put it, a boenfide 'person of color 1,200 years later,' is what he said.

I think we owe gratitude to True Romance screenwriter, Quentin Tarantino, and Dennis Hopper for explaining how and why Vitolo-Haddad could not and did not erroneously identify with people of color.

Then again, we can also thank such endeavors like the UW-Madison Dept of Geology and Geophysics, Biomedical Sciences, Paleontology and Genetics, for example, for their heretical work that includes findings that the human species is some 300,000 years old, we are composed of several non-human species, and race-ethnicity-people-of-whatever is nonsense that noone can seriously misrepresent any more than they can fail to correct that she is a Chicago Bears fan.

So, science, history, Dennis Hopper and Christopher Walken may save CV Vitolo-Haddad.

But I find myself wondering how much of the University system is worth saving.

Here's Dennis Hopper explaining to Christopher Walken in True Romance (Tony Scott, 1993) the vacuity of race and the interconnections of humanity, even for those who deny we are all of the same species.

Michael Johnson of Boys, Girls Clubs of Dane County Confers Legitimacy onto Leading Wisconsin Racist

Updated - Madison, Wisconsin — Shame on Michael Johnson, President and CEO of Boys and Girls Clubs of Dane County.

Johnson has been back on the job for two years, but this is plenty of time for him to sell out and self-deal.

Johnson breathlessly posted in social media the news he is meeting with Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R) this week.

Then the Johnson-Vos summit was close, Johnson wrote.

Then Johnson emerged with secret "immediate action steps" to protect black and brown youth. What are these action steps; Johnson didn't say, (WISC-TV)?

But Johnson did get his headlines, and the man who goes by the handle, MJohnsonCEO on Twitter, has met another objective, getting his name in the news and upping his profile.

The problem is Johnson in the process is
legitimizing a leading Wisconsin racist, Robin Vos, as Republican police have morphed into sadism and open allegiance with white power citizen groups, as Republicans cheer them on.

Two lives taken by GOP-supported racists, Jacob Blake's spinal cord severed, organs eviscerated, and Johnson plays for headlines?

Johnson calls himself a "change agent."

But Vos is not a good-faith player, and we are going to long for the days that Republicans committed mere petty acts of juvenile spite and mass incarceration.

What drives Johnson conferring legitimacy onto Vos?

It's the monarch syndrome, a delusion of royalty.

The narcissistic belief of Michael Johnson's is that he is a king, and, indeed, his highness is hostile to public criticism of his public performance, which Johnson sees as seditious libel, or being "disrespect(ed)," in his description.

I have news for Michael Johnson. This is a classical liberal democracy and a semi-free country, though political speech of public figures is one aspect in which we do lead the world.

Conferring legitimacy onto racists for headlines is a betrayal. Johnson was wrong to do it for cheap headlines to up his profile.

But I look forward to reading all about these "immediate action steps" from the increasingly narcissistic and dishonest Michael Johnson.

Vos, police and Republicans are not seeking dialogue. As Scott Gordon writes, "people [are] exploding in fury against racist policing" that kill and maim.

And Republicans in black and blue and gerrymandered offices are cheering them on. Johnson giving these people cover in their lies should be challenged repeatedly.

Milwaukee Gets DNC 2020—What Could Go Wrong?

The NBA's Sterling Brown, who was tased and arrested
after a police attack stemming from a parking violation,
filed a lawsuit in 2018 against the city of Milwaukee,
the police chief and the eight officers involved in his
arrest, reported CNN. Noone was surprised by the attack.
Madison, Wisconsin—When Milwaukee Police assaulted NBA player Sterling K. Brown for a parking violation in early 2018, the Milwaukee police chief subsequently apologized for inappropriate police conduct, as though the assault were a breach of social etiquette, and not a human rights violation (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, CNN, Mal Contends).

Mayor Tom Barrett (D) (2004-present) was worse, releasing a statement reading in part: "I’m hopeful this incident will be a turning point and allow us to take those actions necessary to improve police community relations" (Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel). A turning point.

A group of malicious cops surround, lie to, defame, threaten and tase a man for a momentary parking violation, and Barrett talks about "police community relations."

It's Barrett. In the past year, precisely what actions have Barrett and the city of Milwaukee taken to "improve police community relations" and implement this so-desired turning point?

The Milwaukee cops converging on Brown from a total of eight police vehicles knew their job.

Cops can and will do anything, like kicking the shit out of black folks, knowing Barrett has their backs.

This link leads to Google search results with key words: Milwaukee police kick man in the head. Turning points, Tom Barrett calls these attacks, lots of turning points.

Sterling Brown subsequently filed a federal civil rights complaint. He'll win.

This long introduction is necessary because the Democratic National Convention 2020 will be sited in Milwaukee, it was announced today. "The convention is scheduled for July 13-16, 2020, with Fiserv Forum serving as the centerpiece of the event," the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports.

Milwaukee is the most racist, segregated city in the worst state to be black.

There will be massive demonstrations.

Contemplate the reaction from Milwaukee Police.  Barrett's platitudes have amounted to nothing.

See the problem here?

Sterling Brown, another victim of racist Milwaukee cops speaks out
for safety of community facing the threat of police protected by Milwaukee
city government, especially Mayor Tom Barrett.

Fight and Defeat Racism, Enough of 'Healing' Talk in Baraboo, Wisconsin

Baraboo, Wisconsin - We're white and proud of it.

Baraboo white boys deserve a medal

Madison, Wisconsin — The worst place to be black in the nation is Wisconsin.

That's because of, in part, the work of provincial, small-town bureaucrats exemplified in Baraboo, Wisconsin — home of the Nazi salute and white-power iconography.

Nothing to see here, just a bunch of crazy kids, is the current line of crap emitted by Baraboo Mayor Mike Palm and Baraboo School District Administrator Lori Mueller and other damage-control, say-nothing know-nothings, (Susan Endres, WISC-TV).

Baraboo is Wisconsin.
---
I lived here all my life.

My first 19 years, I lived in Fond du Lac — where nigger jokes and Jew jokes were frequent, and black people, at least in 1970s-early 1980s, did not reside.

I never met or saw one black person in Fondy, and I was a runner at the time and from a news family. I knew or at least encountered the entire City north-to-south, east-to-west many-times over.
---
Reporting from Baraboo on the first of three community meetings, Susan Endres, (WISC-TV), reveals some hope for an open acknowledgement of reality, as opposed to the bureaucratic blather of Baraboo School District Administrator Lori Mueller:

Rabbi Laurie Zimmerman said she doesn’t wish to condemn the boys, many of whom probably didn’t understand the meaning of the salute or intend to cause harm, but noted that the image must be viewed in the context of growing anti-Semitism, racism, xenophobia and Islamophobia.

'While seeing the image of a Nazi salute has a particular effect on Jews, this isn’t just about Jews. This about white supremacy,' she said, eliciting applause from the audience. 'There cannot be healing until we acknowledge and confront the political climate in which we live.'

That's right.

For shining a light, however harsh, on the ongoing obscenity of Wisconsin, the kids deserve a medal.

Brett Kavanaugh Is a Lie, Senate Dems Need to Stop Vote by Any Means

Opponents of Brett Kavanaugh rallied outside the Untied
States Supreme Court last night. "Are you ready for a fight,"
said Bernie Sanders. Yes, America appears ready for a fight
that may dwarf the 1987 Bork nomination by comparison.

Kavanaugh and Bork Are Two of a Kind

"He looked, and talked, like a man who would throw the book at you — maybe like a man who would throw the book at the whole country," said Tom Shales, media critic at the Washington Post, commenting on the Robert Bork confirmation hearings in 1987, cited in the exhilarating book, Battle for Justice: How the Bork Nomination Shook America, (W. W. Norton), by Ethan Bronner. [Pick a copy of Bronner's work if you have even a passing interest in the biggest political event since 2016, stopping the Kavanaugh nomination.]

Bronner chronicled a landmark breaking point in American political history when the people rose and the United States Senate listened, defeating the Bork nomination 58-42. The vote led to the nomination and confirmation of Anthony Kennedy, a corrupt justice responsible for the among worst decisions in American judicial history: Bush. v. Gore (2000), Citizens United (2010) and Shelby County v. Holder (2013), among them.

Minority Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) publicly warned the zombie-like Senate Dems to assume war footing against the Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh who is even worse than Kennedy.

Defeating this radical corporatist-statist Kavanaugh presents problems vis a vis the radical corporatist-statist Bork.

First among the challenges is the current composition of the Senate — 51 (R) to 49 (D), (115th Congress).

In 1987, Bork faced a Senate controlled by Democrats 55 (D) to 45 R), (100th Congress).

In 1987, six Republican senators voted against Bork, (Los Angeles Times).

In 2018, only a fool would count on any Republican senators rejecting the Christian fascist nominee.
---
Bork was a public relations disaster on a superficial visceral level.

Kavanaugh came across as a blend of Jimmy Stewart and Matt Damon, who above all loves his family and likely says nice things about your mother.

Kavanaugh's unmistakably appealing image is a lie. The visible malice of Kavanaugh as a younger man has melted into the kind visage we watched last night.

Kavanaugh comes prevetted by the radical, anti-civil liberties Federalist Society, armed with a jurisprudence that is savage and hateful.
---
Trump is a malignant clown, but whatever delusions from which Trump suffers, he knows how to unite the right into a fascist, corporate, Christian state that animates the political animal Kavanaugh.

Kavanaugh will vote to further degrade civil liberties and target women, minorities, immigrants, gays and elevate corporate power, executive branch power and any level of law enforcement over everyone in the name of god-almighty.

Our rights mean next to nothing.

The Republican Party and Kavanaugh will use the Supreme Court as a means of decimating the rights of the citizenry and any competing political opposition.

Make no mistake Kavanaugh is ambitious, vicious and deceitful. A woman's right to her body is gone with Kavanaugh on the Court.

Plan A should be no hearing, no vote until the Congress convenes in 2019.

Stopping Kavanaugh and Trump is doable.

We have the anti-Trump infrastructure in place, public opinion and mid-term elections. Trump and Republicans in Congress enjoy consistently low levels of approval.

We need determination and political competence.

This is the time of Bernie Sanders and it is the time of us. Our rights depend on what we do in the next six months.

As Stephen Macedo writes in The New Right v. the Constitution:

When conservatives like Bork treat rights as islands surrounded by a sea of government powers, they precisely reverse the view of the Founders as enshrined in the Constitution, wherein government powers are limited and specified and rendered as islands surrounded by a sea of individual rights.

Think of the younger generations, because the country we are leaving them will not be recognizable — a society of diminished rights, and people living as tools to power, tightly constrained, with little legal recourse.

A democracy without rights is tyranny.

Do we trust the future of our democracy to these six senators? Not on our lives:

Trump's Followers as Are Repulsive as the Lunatic in the White House

Update: Five-thirty-eight.com, (Thomson-DeVeaux), concludes, "Right now, however, even though some white evangelical leaders have condemned Trump and the family separation policy, there’s no evidence that their followers are poised to turn on the president." Of course not. Opposing Trump involves thought or empathy, two qualities missing in the deluded white Christianite fundamentalists.

Notes Thomson-DeVeaux: "A 2017 poll from the Public Religion Research Institute that found that white evangelical Protestants were the only religious group in which a majority (57 percent) said they’re bothered when they encounter immigrants who don’t speak English. They were also the likeliest to say that they have little or nothing in common with immigrants."
 ---
We have never had a strutting, malignant narcissist as president, not like this.

Trump is so lost in his solipsistic delusions that he gazed longingly, and narrating his walk across a stage, began fondling an American flag after a talk because Trump loves America so much he couldn't contain himself.

Fox News Insider reported the spectacle like this: "President Trump showed his love for America on Tuesday in a video that has now gone viral."

Trumpists — the bigoted, vile bunch of white Evangelicals and racists who actually support this goon — are as ethically indictable as Trump or Trump TV.

Whether it's Kiron, Iowa or Kenosha, Wisconsin, Trump supporters are enabling this regime of cruelty and bedlam.

Not even the spectacle of 1,000s of children and babies being snatched, caged and trafficked across the country is sufficient to break support among followers because cruelty is the point behind most of Trump's support.

Cut these idiots off. If they own a business: Boycott it. If they live in your neighborhood: Avoid them. Oppose them in any decent way you can conceive.

Farron Cousins of the Ring of Fire is not surprised by anything Trump or his followers do or say.

Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell singled out as indecent

Steve Schmidt, Republican Party strategist and an architect of two presidential campaigns, has publicly renounced the Republican Party, vowing to align with the Democratic Party to fight against the "the party of Trump."

Schmidt made his comments on social media Wednesday morning as the number of children taken from parents by the U.S. government has now exceeded 11,000.

Steve Schmidt said the Republican Party has become "corrupt, indecent, and immoral" and "filled with feckless cowards who disgrace and dishonor the legacies of the party’s greatest leaders."

Singling out House Speaker Paul Ryan (R) and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R), Schmidt said former Republican Party standard bearer, President Ronald Reagan, would be "ashamed of McConnell and Ryan and all the rest ... ."
Meanwhile, intellectuals and writers continue to sound the alarm the United States is entering a period of domestic fascism and state violence formerly reserved for its black citizens and Native Americans.

"All mass crimes in history start with a justification, a necessity rationalization, a sick form of nationalism and racism," notes The Intercept.

Last night as the AP broke the story the Trump administration had erected special internment camps for infants and toddlers, Rachel Maddow broke into tears at the end of her news show as she handed over MSNBC coverage to the Lawrence O'Donnell Show.

MSNBC and NBC News have stationed dozens of reporters and producers in the American south as each day newscasts seem more like a bearing of witness as the U.S. government attempts to hide locations and operations of secret holding facilities housing the children taken from parents.

The Trump administration signals that its child-snatching regime is a complex that is built to last.

The number of children stolen from their parents by the United States government now exceeds 11,000.
No need for Rachel Maddow to apologize as most of America is right behind her.

Sacrificing our children as Moloch calls.

By Allen Ginsberg (1926-1997)

Moloch! Solitude! Filth! Ugliness! Ashcans and unobtainable dollars!
Children screaming under the stairways! Boys sobbing in armies!
Old men weeping in the parks!
Moloch! Moloch! Nightmare of Moloch!
Moloch the loveless!
Mental Moloch!
Moloch the heavy judger of men!
Moloch the incomprehensible prison!
Moloch the crossbone soulless jailhouse and Congress of sorrows!
---

When Moloch calls for the sacrifice of children, religious mania is ever-present in America's DNA. Those without character round up children in a ritual sacrifice requiring the ascent of 1,000s. No member of ICE has dissented and spoken out.
---
"The religion of Moloch — as such creeds may be generically called — is in essence the cringing submission of the slave, who dare not, even in his heart, allow the thought that his master deserves no adulation. Since the independence of ideals is not yet acknowledged, Power may be freely worshipped, and receive an unlimited respect, despite its wanton infliction of pain."

Light Shines on Fitchburg, Wisconsin—Insular, Provincial, Without Adult Supervision

Fitchburg Mayor Jason Gonzalez walks out of the Common
Council meeting November 14.
Fiefdom of Fitchburg to citizen "human beings": 'You're done. Please leave'

Fitchburg, Wisconsin—A relative in rural Georgia reminded me this summer about the problem in Wisconsin few acknowledge.

'Mikey, Wisconsin is way more racist than rural Georgia, sweetheart."

Yes, Wisconsin is, and the city of Fitchburg, the focus of increased local media attention is among the worst offenders against citizens voicing concern about public policy at public meetings, especially black citizens, (Pasque, The Capital Times,

In Fitchburg local bureaucrats routinely call the police on citizens expressing concern about the municipal budget, reporting voting obstruction, and caring for black children, (care-givers are the worst problem).

Common Council members contrive with the City Attorney's Office and City Administrator, Patrick Marsh, to phone police when a citizen, like me for example, point out unlawful public conduct.

Kaleem Caire, president and CEO of One City Learning Centers, found out the hard way that citizens can not count on Constitutional and democratic norms to publicly voice concerns at public Council meetings.

Reports Lisa Speckhard Pasque in The Capital Times:

During Tuesday's public hearing, Caire began his statement by saying that community services should be part of the city budget, as those who would benefit from the services 'are human beings' and taxpayers. He then criticized council members, saying 'I saw you all, members of this council, who refused to meet with people in this community, Mayor Gonzalez as much as I --'

At that point, Gonzalez interrupted him and called him out of order, saying 'We’re here to talk about budget amendments.' Caire kept trying to finish his statement, and said he wasn’t done and hadn’t said anything offensive.

Gonzalez continued to interrupt him, saying 'You’re done,' and 'Please leave, sir.'

City Administrator Patric Marsh then called the police.

Notes Chris Aadland in the Wisconsin State Journal:

Caire said the message the [Fitchburg] budget sends is that the city isn’t welcoming and doesn’t value community input.

'I thought for the last several years they were trying to change that image, but these people are taking them backwards,' he said.

Mayor Jason Gonzalez claims that the performance of the Common Council on the municipal budget cannot be articulated by citizens commenting on the budget at a budgetary public hearing, or Gonzalez will rule the citizens "out of order," contact the Fitchburg Police Dept, who will escort the citizen out of the Council.

Jason Gonzalez, and Ald Julia Arata-Fratta and Ald Dorothy Krause cannot operate beyond the norms of democratic society without the explicit support of City Administrator Patrick Marsh, asst City Attorney Valerie Zisman, and ultimately the Fitchburg Municipal Court which will rubber-stamp any civil citation the police issue, any action of the Council and the cloistered racists who populate City Hall, no matter how absurd. Mal Contends advocates citizens voice their concerns with appropriate Fitchburg public official as listed in the public Fitchburg public directory.

On a personal note, as long-time Fitchburg resident, I sometimes wonder if I had veered into a Cassandra complex, after years of alerting election officials to unlawful practices of Fitchburg city officials.

One thing is clear: the urgency of the moment lives forever in the present.

Writes Dane County resident, Amelia Royko Maurer last night as rights, open meetings and democratic norms are dieing in Fitchburg. [Royko Maurer was also thrown out of the Common Council meeting, ( The Capital Times, Wisconsin State Journal)]:

I’m utterly stunned by the lack of response from Fitchburg citizens to the behavior of their elected representatives. Politeness and silence have never, ever brought about necessary change in fact, quite the contrary.

The question to ask yourself is, are you part of the firing squad or are you for equity and justice. *There is no middle ground.*

This column is from the 60s so it contains racial terms that may trigger some, as it has me, but the overarching point should hit home hard for Fitchburg residents.

Royko links a column, Millions in his firing squad, on the assassination of King penned by the late, great Mike Royko, reading in part:

FBI agents are looking for the man who pulled the trigger and surely they will find him.

But it doesn't matter if they do or they don't. They can't catch everybody, and Martin Luther King was executed by a firing squad that numbered in the millions.

They took part, from all over the country, pouring words of hate into the ear of the assassin.

The man with the gun did what he was told. Millions of bigots, subtle and obvious, put it in his hand and assured him he was doing the right thing.

It would be easy to point at the Southern redneck and say he did it. But what of the Northern disk-jockey-turned-commentator, with his slippery words of hate every morning?

What about the Northern mayor who steps all over every poverty program advancement, thinking only of political expediency, until riots fester, whites react with more hate and the gap between the races grows bigger?

Toss in the congressman with the stupid arguments against busing. And the pathetic women who turn out with eggs in their hands to throw at children.

Let us not forget the law-and-order type politicians who are in favor of arresting all Negro prostitutes in the vice districts. When you ask them to vote for laws that would eliminate some of the causes of prostitution, they babble like the boobs they are.

Throw in a Steve Telow or two: the Eastern and Southern European immigrant or his kid who seems to be convinced that in 40 or 50 years he built this country. There was nothing here until he arrived, you see, so that gives him the right to pitch rocks when Martin Luther King walks down the street in his neighborhood.

They all took their place in King's firing squad.

And behind them were the subtle ones, those who never say anything bad but just nod when the bigot throws out his strong opinions.

He is actually the worst, the nodder is, because sometimes he believes differently but he says nothing. He doesn't want to cause trouble. For Pete's sake, don't cause trouble!

So when his brother-in-law or his card-playing buddy from across the alley spews out the racial filth, he nods.

Give some credit to the most subtle of the subtle. That distinction belongs to the FBI, now looking for King's killer.

That agency took part in a mudslinging campaign against him that to this day demands an investigation.

The bullet that hit King came from all directions. Every two-bit politician or incompetent editorial writer found in him, not themselves, the cause of our racial problems.

It was almost ludicrous. The man came on the American scene preaching nonviolence from the first day he sat at the wrong end of a bus. He preached it in the North and was hit with rocks. He talked it the day he was murdered.

Hypocrites all over this country would kneel every Sunday morning and mouth messages to Jesus Christ. ...

Trump Preached Hate, Now Forces of Hate are Loosed

Donald Trump smirks at the hate he has used and
inflamed, as decent Republicans such as
Richard Painter condemn the resulting "fascism."

"Let us face the facts. This is a harvest. It is the crop of things sown."

— Ralph McGill, Atlanta Constitution, Oct. 13, 1958. A Church, A School

---
Donald Trump and his Make-America-Great-Again movement got one thing right about the Charlottesville terror-fest they have wrought, responsible for three deaths and dozens sent to the hospital, (New York Times): White Supremacist terror has been going on for a long time in our country.

Trump should know about terror. The Alt Right is a critical part of the Trump adminstration, so any direct condemnation of the white supremacists would be ironic.

Trump has used white supremacist hate for years, inflamed hate, and then congratulated himself on his targeted political-marketing perspicuity.

The White House Charlottesville statement's appeasing equivocation and minimization should signal where America is headed: A bombing of a Mosque in Minnesota, hate murder in Portland, too much hate to list and quantify.

"It is not possible to preach lawlessness and restrict it," warned the southern civil rights writer, Ralph McGill, in 1958.

But that was a different era, and in the words of our friend, Mikey Weinstein, "it's far worse" today (Mal Contends). Weinstein's words were in 2008.

Today, the unite-the-right rally with White House flacking should send the message that the forces of hate are loosed.

White Terrorist Murders Two; Yells Rightwing Slurs Against Muslims

Jeremy Christian, killer of
two, "promoted the idea of
creating a whites-only area
in the Pacific Northwest,
a location long-touted
by white nationalists
as a possible location
for a 'homeland.'"

White Extremist Strikes in Portland

Updated - A white extremist shouting racist and Islamophobic tropes killed two men in Portland and stabbed another while ridding a bus, (Southern Poverty Law Center), (The Oregonian), (Informed Comment).

Welcome to the age of Trump, and Happy Memorial Day weekend.

Muslim women on the bus who were being harassed by the Trumpian, Jeremy Christian, escaped with no physical injury.

Two men who came to the aid are the latest victims of white extremists displaying an emboldened sense of proprietorship of the United States following the campaign and election of Donald Trump.

Christian slashed the throats of the two men he killed, and stabbed another. Christian is a political supporter of Trump's political rants and the administration's hate-charged, political bromides on taxes, immigrants, Latinos, Muslims, and sanctuary cities, (Mother Jones).

Christian, "according to one witness, was heard saying 'get off the bus, and get out of the country because you don’t pay taxes here,'" (Informed Comment).

Sen. Jeff Merkley, (D-Oregon), tweeted Friday night about the attack, saying about the victims: "Champions of justice risked and lost their lives. Hate is evil," (Cabrera, ThinkProgress).

Hate is also the foundation of Donald Trump and the Republicans' rise to power.

Reports Informed Comment:

The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), an organization promoting American Muslim civil liberties based in Washington, D.C., released a statement asking U.S. President Donald Trump to 'speak out personally against rising bigotry and acts of racial violence in America targeting Muslims and other minority groups.'

According to CAIR, the past three years have seen a nearly 600% rise in hate crimes targeting Muslims, and those who are perceived to be Muslim.

Little by little, hate and violence are creeping across America as the country becomes great again.
