Bernie Sanders Progeny, Our Revolution, Rises Against Fascism in Swing States

When we stand together there is nothing we cannot
accomplish.

"Our Revolution will reclaim democracy for the working
people of our country by harnessing the transformative
energy of the 'political revolution.' Through supporting
a new generation of progressive leaders, empowering
millions to fight for progressive change and
elevating the political consciousness, Our Revolution
will transform American politics to make our political
and economic systems once again responsive
to the needs of working families," reads Our Revolution,
the most powerful machine against fascism.
Updated - A glance at the map of local groups for the national progressive political machine, Our Revolution, tells much.

Clusterings of groups surge in Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania, (at right).

For this progressive citizen action team, it's all about winning and making the "political and economic systems once again responsive to the needs of working families."

Even hapless, neolib Democratic Party strategists can tell you the significance of Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio and Pennsylvania.

No single person can ever be correctly characterized as the hope of America. Nevertheless, the political power of Bernie Sanders is undeniable and rising, precisely because Sanders rejects conventional notions of what a political party should do in our electoral democracy. People over everything.

If it appears the Republican Party and corporate wing of the Democratic Party are desperate, particularly corrupt and vicious of late, it's because their corrupt power over American lives is being challenged effectively. Resistance is strong.

Consider checking out Our Revolution. This machine kills fascists, as Woody Guthrie used to say, brandishing a guitar.

Remember to enjoy yourselves, some SRV for mid-June.

Change Is Coming

Rahm Emanuel: First Jewish Speaker of the House and Barack Obama, first Muslim U.S. President?

Goodness Gracious! Somebody, please do something, fast.

Aren't their any real Americans left? Well, I'm sure that we will see these sentiments addressed in the coming months during the campaign.

As noted here during the primary, there will be evolving attacks to define and brand Barack Obama involving what advertising and marketing professionals call impressions—the projection of one image (in this case Barack Obama) onto one human brain (a voter).

Designing and managing Obama’s brand by generating impressions for the benefit of his opponent, it is necessary to merge negative (ostensibly plausible) aspects of Obama onto the consciousness of key voting demographics susceptible to certain appeals based on fear and xenophobia.

The more frequent and emotionally potent the impression, the greater is the political impact. The political impressions coming fast and strong: Muslim, Black, stranger, unsteady, creepy, inexperience, radical, unAmerican, different, elitist and so on.

Sites for Political Reality and Refuge

I occasionally get phone calls bemoaning the political culture as exhibited by, for example, MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough.

The fact is Joe Scarborough is a blow-hard; and his ilk are blow-hards and they do not define political reality, so one need not be too depressed.

Back when the Clintons were the victims of rightwing media (instead of the perpetrators like now), Ken Starr and his media cohorts went on and on right up to impeachment, when the public, sickened by Starr and the media's performance, gave Clinton his near-highest approval ratings at 69 percent.

It's worth noting that political reality is best defined by the American people and not Hillary Clinton and the media blowhards who want to take down Barack Obama.

Here are five sites to visit and read when even an occasional visit to cable TV becomes too disgusting to bear.

- Daily Kos
- AmericaBlog
- BuzzFlash
- Huffington Post
- Common Dreams
- And give Jon Stewart a look; Stewart always seems to capture well the absurdity of the media idiocy.
