Madison, Wisconsin — What does one do upon becoming aware of multiple felonies destroying lives?
In Wisconsin in the Making a Murderer case, calling law enforcement is not an option.
Law enforcement comprises the felons.
Now, a citizen has stepped forward and offered a $100,000 reward for tips on finding the killer of Teresa Halbach for which two innocent men have been framed, convicted and imprisoned.
The anonymous citizen says "prosecutorial misconduct" and a desire to see justice prevail motivates the establishment of the $100,000 reward fund.
John Ferak, author of the breathtaking Wrecking Crew, Demolishing The Case Against Steven Avery, has the story of the mystery citizen and a question-and-answer with wrongful conviction attorney, Kathleen Zellner.
Zellner will file an eagerly anticipated appellate brief for Steven Avery on October 10.

The Manitowoc County Sheriff Dept in northeastern Wisconsin has long been recognized as a corrupt, lawless police force, and is featured in a new book by the journalist, John Ferak. [Read Ferak's Wrecking Crew!]

"We are pleased to announce that one of the world's leading DNA experts, Dr. Richard Selden @drrichardselden, is willing to test the bones in the Manitowoc County Gravel Pit with new Rapid DNA ID. If this testing is allowed, we believe the bones will be Ms. Halbach's," reads a Zellner Twitter communication followed by an extensive question-and-anwser session. "[The DNA tests] will prove the murder and mutilation occurred in the Manitowoc County Gravel Pit and the bones were planted in Mr. Avery's burn pit to frame him."

Actually, we just filed a motion this afternoon asking the Appellate Court to remand the case for this testing to take place. #askzellner https://t.co/kBsYxVbGTQ— Kathleen Zellner (@ZellnerLaw) December 17, 2018
Kratz said that because it couldn't be shown the bones were human that he wasn't going to spend 20 seconds on them. We believe that identifying the bones as Ms. Halbach's will cause the case to be reversed for a new trial. #askzellner— Kathleen Zellner (@ZellnerLaw) December 17, 2018
