Wisconsin Senate Special Election — Pro-Scott Walker 'Coal Roller' Gets Smoked

Wisconsin citizens working against Scott
Walker and other Republicans were
assaulted by a Republican coal roller
at a protest on April 7 in Sturgeon Bay.
Pictured above is two protestors of
some 38 people attending an event
for healthcare, voting rights and
the environment. The event
was organized by the
Door County Indivisible Coalition.
A Scott Walker-supporting Patrick Markham has been cited with a municipal citation for disorderly conduct with a motor vehicle, (first offense), for purposely directing toxic fumes at an anti-Scott Walker demonstration held on April 7 in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin.

The citation is dated April 26, 2018 and has been mailed to, (served upon), Markham, the Sturgeon Bay Police Department confirmed this morning.

The alleged incident by Markham is known as "coal rolling," ejecting and directing toxic black smoke to poison and intentionally cause distress, often used as a rightwing tactic to disrupt protests with which rightwingers disagree.

The incident was captured on video by the Door County Advocate and a reporter, Liz Welter, from the Green Bay Press Gazette was present and witnessed the event.

A protestor is seen on Door County Advocate video, saying a "rude person" just "gassed everybody," as a white truck apparently driven by Markham roared by.

A protester filed a complaint with the Sturgeon Bay Police Department who investigated the complaint beginning on April 18 and issued the citation on April 26, after alerting Markham by phone.

In Facebook comments left by Markham in response to the video, Markham wrote:

"Suck my exhaust"

"I am glad they got the coal treatment"

"... I rolled coal threw (sic) them when I left work"
The April 7 protest was organized by the Door County Indivisible Coalition in part to challenge Scott Walker's campaign message that to oppose Walker's reelection is to engage in hate.
