Advice to Russ Feingold: Ron Johnson Is a Republican

Unless I am missing it, I do not see Sen. Russ Feingold mentioning that the brand, party and mission of Ron Johnson is: Republican.

Russ is defining himself well in his TV spots.

But he needs to define his opponent Ron Johnson as a Republican's Republican. Associations with the Republican brand follow. As in:

- We cannot go back to eight years of Bush-Cheney-Republican Corruption and Waste
- We cannot hand control of Congress to big-money Republicans

Every ad should have a visual GOP lede-in:

- There's a reason Ron Johnon is running as a Republican ...
- Republican Ron Johnson ...
- My Republican opponent ...
