The news that Obama's lead in key states is opening up some 30 days before the election will likely result in an all-out GOP attack plan that includes smears and more lies.
Quinnipiac University surveys released Wednesday show Obama leads in Nevada and Virginia, that by our reading would, if they hold, mean an electoral win for Obama.
The urgency of the Bush bailout plan sold with the same appeal to fear as the War in Iraq cannot help but convey the message that change is needed. Despite McCain's effort to coopt the change theme, Obama has successfully rebutted McCain as a change agent weeks ago.
But as RFK Jr. has noted, the GOP has some 30 voter suppression programs (aggressively fought) in place nationally and the rightwing independent expenditure organizations and the GOP have yet to play their race cards, though time is running out as efforts to re-brand Obama have to compete with the impressions of the reasonable, knowledgeable, empathetic man millions will see in the two remaining debates and an Obama campaign flush with money.
But hey Obama is black, and do we really know what being black means? I mean blacks steal and they are coming after your money, among other things we hold dear!
