How do you know those Obama voters did not show up at the polls for the Supreme Court race. I think many Obama voters were were in fact Republicans who never intended to vote for him in the general. When its reported more Waukesha County voters voted Democratic something fishy is going on. 80% of Waukesha County voters (mainly Republican) voted straight ticket in 2006.
I will actually agree with you somewhat though. Clinton would lose Wisconsin and Obama would carry it. But Clinton would win Penn, Ohio, Michigan, Virginia and Obama wouldn't.
This is really an issue about old Democrats (FDR) and New Democrats. Democrats who are economically liberal (working class base), yet socially moderate or Democrats who are economically conservative (free trade) and socially liberal (upper middle class base).
