Update: On Hillary from the Political Wire
Madison, Wisconsin - Three days after the Wisconsin blow-out, last night's debate felt like the Pro Bowl after the Super Bowl
Here’s my two-sentence take joining the spate of pieces on Hillary's political miscalculations being discussed in post-mortem tones today: Hillary borrowed from the Bush crowd and played the fear card versus Obama’s change and hope card.
The problem is the fear card is obviously marked (suggesting a clumsily rigged game), inducing ridicule.
(Note: John McCain is picking up where Bush and Hillary left off, following them over the cliff with the fear message.)
“And while we're on the subject of message, what genius decided it was a great idea to demonize hope?” writes Eugene Robinson today in the Post in a piece entitled It's Over For Hillary.
