Kamala Harris 2019: Colin Kaepernick's Taking a Knee Was 'Not a Thing' until Russian Intervention

As the nation races toward the September-November presidential election, the Democratic Party has consolidated its status as the neo-McCarthyite party.

In Summer 2019, the party's vice-presidential nominee, Kamala Harris, was out spreading disinformation that an iconic civil rights worker, Colin Kaepernick, was insignificant until "Russia bots" pushed the issue onto the American public in a bid to sow discord.

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) said the controversy surrounding the national anthem protests of former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was 'not a thing' until Russian trolls started fanning the flames on social media.

During a Friday interview with the radio show 'The Breakfast Club,' Harris discussed Russian interference in the 2016 election, and said the easiest way for Russian online trolls to sow discord in American politics is to stoke racial animosity.

'They test out a couple of things to see what can get the American public going at each other, pointing fingers at each other,' Harris said. 'Guess what gains the most heat? Race.'

'Remember the heat that ended up around the 'bend the knee' and Colin Kaepernick?' Harris asked. 'Many smart people have said it actually was not a thing, the Russian bots started taking that on.'

Things were fine and peaceful here until the Russians showed up.

There is no question that police violence and targeting of black and brown people in American society is news to Harris.

But outside of Harris' bubble, Black Lives Matter and others fighting the destruction of American minorities know that Kaepernick has been a "thing" since he sacrificed his NFL career and $Millions in the pursuit of justice by taking a knee starting in 2016.

No matter the damage Biden and Harris have inflicted onto black and brown lives, Colin Kaepernick will likely continue his work as the Democratic Party attributes stands for justice as Russian-inflamed, an exercise in McCarthyism that now defines Democrats.

The utter incapacity of Democratic Party organs to recognize how destructive Kamala Harris remains is yet another example of how propaganda and thought control define Trump, Biden and Harris who keep telling us to look over there.

The Joe Biden-corporate America campaign may be engaged in some misdirection in the veep-stakes.

But the fact that Biden has not ruled out Kamala Harris tells us much about Biden and the democrats: Defending wrongful convictions, throwing black and brown people in jail, and escalation of the drug war are who Joe Biden is.

Since declaring her campaign for president last year, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) emitted policy stands with the authenticity of most other packaged liberal pols like Clinton, Biden or Kerry.

But in Harris' case, there was a vainglorious quality to this apparently deluded woman caught on video laughing about how funny it was to send black and brown parents to jail when their children miss school.

"[A]s a prosecutor in law enforcement, I have a huge stick; the school has got a carrot, so let’s work in tandem around our collective objective and goal, which is to get those kids in school," said Harris in her infamous 2010 address to the Commonwealth Club.

Politicians are egotists, but Harris has convinced herself that using the state as a "stick" on parents of color makes her the right Democratic candidate for president, and for vice president.

Days before declaring her run for the presidency, Harris reflected on Jan. 21, 2019, "This is where it all began" at Howard University, the venerable institution where Harris says she became enthralled with the idea of becoming a prosecutor.

Anybody who dreams of becoming a prosecutor as a student is either obtuse, malicious or pathological.

America is a police-prosecutor-prison state that destroys lives, a perverse pursuit aimed especially at black and brown folks.

So, how did it all turn out for Harris after her start at Howard?

She became a prosecutor and California attorney general where she defended wrongful convictions, became a drug warrior and infamously became giddy on the 2010 campaign trail in recounting to the Commonwealth Club how she jailed the parents of students who were late or absent from school.

Harris' recounting of imprisoning parents is almost as disheartening as Trump throwing children into cages. Someone so out-of-touch with the struggles of low-income children, and so happy to use the state as a punitive stick against parents is someone for whom I'll never vote.

[Harris is] running for president as a progressive, but as attorney general of California, she criminalized truancy — making it a crime for kids to be late for school and dragging into the criminal justice system even more disproportionately low-income, predominantly black and Latino families. She’s overlooked the misconduct of her prosecutors and fought to uphold their wrongfully secured convictions. She defended California’s choice to deny gender reassignment surgery to a transgender inmate, and in 2014, she appealed a federal judge’s holding that the death penalty was unconstitutional.

The list goes on and on. But in some ways, the details don’t matter. The problem isn’t that Harris was an especially bad prosecutor. She made positive contributions as well, encouraging education and re-entry programs for ex-offenders, for instance. The problem, more precisely, is that she was ever a prosecutor at all.

To become a prosecutor is to make a choice to align oneself with a powerful and fundamentally biased system.

That's right.

Old Bigot McCain Rushes to Aid of White Supremacist Sessions

Sen. John McCain (R-Arizona) heard enough of the uppity woman from California, Sen. Kamala Harris, pummeling Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III from Alabama and challenging his "honor."

Harris had the gall to disorder the racist, former senator now serving as United States Attorney General, making the southern man, "nervous."

At a hearing of the U.S. Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, Sessions was questioned by Sen. Harris who persisted in examining Sessions' "batter-fried nonsense," (Pierce, Esquire), that his refusal to answer questions about President Trump was justified by the long-standing, secret DoJ policy that the attorney general could not cite because it does not exist.

Sen. Harris was having none of Sessions' making up policy, and her questioning made Sessions look ridiculous.

But the old, bigoted Sen. McCain from Arizona who in 1983 voted against Martin Luther King, Jr. Day could not watch his racist, "I may have said something about the NAACP being un-American or Communist, but I meant no harm by it," friend fold on national television, certainly not under examination by a woman, (Mal Contends), (Washington Post).

Sessions was denied a federal judgeship in 1986 by the Republican-controlled Senate Committee on the Judiciary, which voted down Sessions 10-8 for being "unfit," (Phillips, Washington Post, New York Times).

No problem for McCain. McCain championed the Sessions nomination to attorney general this year, and is now running political interference for the old bastard as attorney general.

Notes Jonathan Chait, (New York Magazine):

Is the policy is written down, she asked? 'I think so,' replied Sessions — an answer lacking the level of legal precision one might hope to get from the federal government’s top attorney. Harris tried to drill down into just how Sessions learned about this policy. Sessions said he had followed a 'principle,' which apparently is more of an oral tradition or something. That’s when John McCain, off-camera, jumped in to complain about Harris’s questioning. 

It appears McCain is following his own long-standing, secret policy with respect to coming to the aid of racists.

2017 is not 1986. It's starting to look like 1956 when being a racist was not a disqualification for high government positions.
