Central Wisconsin Calls for Water Testing

Madison, Wisconsin — The northern United States is enjoying the long, hot Summer as the dog days of August approach.

In central Wisconsin, the call is for water testing as Big Ag threatens the state with 15,000 lakes.

From the Protect Wood County (Wisconsin) and Its Neighbors organization comes a mass local project in which 100s of households have tested their groundwater to establish an empirical baseline of dangerous nitrates, phosphorus and pathogens, should a proposed massive factory farm and other Big Ag operations so befoul drinking water that that emergency legal action comes necessary.
