Wisconsin AG Moves to Protect Scott Walker

The corrupt Wisconsin Republican DoJ is working to shield the criminal Scott Walker adminstration regarding a corrupt Wisconsin Republican Supreme Court decision.

Reads the state DoJ press release in part:

Today, Attorney General Brad D. Schimel filed an amicus curiae brief in Archer v. Chisholm, a civil rights lawsuit in federal court brought against Milwaukee County District Attorney John Chisholm and other prosecutors by one of the John Doe targets. AG Schimel's brief opposes the defendants' motion asking the federal court to set aside the Wisconsin Supreme Court's decision ordering documents illegally seized by the John Doe investigators to be filed under seal.

There are no targets in John Doe probes in Wisconsin, a statute Wisconsin Republicans repealed as it was used as a law enforcement probe that uncovered numerous unlawful dealings of Scott Walker and his cronies.

Federal court filings working to litigate the issues in Archer's case would reveal more unlawful dealings of Scott Walker as governor, hence the Republican DoJ's position.

Scott Walker’s office 'obstructed' probe of missing veterans funds, say investigators

Update: Significance of Dee Hall's piece is that evidence of the Scott Walker obstruction of law enforcement probe looking into missing money of veterans' fund is now in federal court in a brief (dated July 31, 2015) using only publicly released documents beyond the reach of Republicans on the Wisconsin Supreme Court that attempted to sanitize and cover up for Scott Walker's duplicity and apparent illegal actions as County Executive.
 ---
Scott Walker's long-time aides and appointees are some real low-life types, embezzling from a military veterans' fund with Walker and his office (Milwaukee County Executive (2002-10)) playing interference.

Dee J. Hall has the story at WisconsinWatch.

Scott Walker and Republicans still believe the rule of law does not apply to favored Republicans like Walker. (Mal Contends)

But the crooks and liars from John Doe I are coming back to bite Walker, and many 1,000s of pages of documents remain in the public domain beyond the reach of Walker and the four Republican justices on the Wisconsin Supreme Court.

Wonder what Walker's next move is, telling the convicted to shut up?

Scott Walker, Campaign Used Public Office to Flack for Walker During O’Donnell Park Death

Death of young man in 2010 concerned Scott Walker; Walker was
worried the tragedy would hurt Walker politically. Walker’s campaign
manager, put it immediately after man was killed: "Make sure there is
not a paper any where that details a problem at all." Cover-up and lies.
Lisa Kaiser has the must-read story on Scott Walker corruption and his appalling insensitivity to the death of a young man in 2010.

Walker's cynical and persistent actions in reaction was that the death of 15-year-old Jared Kellner and two others injured on June 24, 2010 at the Milwaukee County O’Donnell Park parking structure could hurt Walker’s political image.

Reports Kaiser:
In the initial phases of the John Doe investigation, the public learned how then-Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker’s county aides worked on his gubernatorial campaign while working at their taxpayer-funded jobs. Some of these aides were prosecuted for their illegal behavior.

But the release of hundreds of emails sealed for years under the John Doe’s secrecy order—recently released as part of the litigation involving the O’Donnell Park tragedy—reveals more serious evidence of how Walker’s top campaign advisers were actually calling the shots on county matters to protect Walker and his campaign for governor from political damage from this tragedy.

And make no mistake: Scott Walker was definitely aware that his campaign and county staffers were working together to shape his image as he ran for governor in 2010.

Walker was copied on almost all of the emails ....

Nowhere in any of the emails released is there evidence of Walker or any of his campaign or county staffers expressing sympathy or concern for the Kellner family or the public’s safety. Their only interest seems to be managing Walker’s image and distancing himself from any potential cause of the structure’s failures.

Top Walker Aide Beneficiary of GOP Move Rewarding Political Appts

WalkerGate - Aide raided by FBI made $99,449 a year - $39,129 more than last person to hold the politcal appointment

Taxpayers have been very, very good to Scott Walker political appointments; as memories die hard on Walker's declaration of emergency, budget lies, closing the capitol, corruption, targeting the working class, and on and on.

Patrick Marley of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports:

By far the biggest beneficiary of a move earlier this year to turn three dozen civil service jobs into political appointments is Cindy Archer, the one-time top aide to Gov. Scott Walker whose house was raided by the FBI last week.

Archer served as Walker's deputy administration secretary until last month, when she abruptly shifted into a job as legislative liaison at the Department of Children and Families. She is being paid $99,449 a year - $39,129 more than the $60,320 the last person to hold the job made.

The governor could funnel such a huge increase into the job because earlier this year Republicans who control the Legislature went along with his plan to give him more political appointments.
