Biden Admin Flouts Covid 19 Origins Law — Misses Law-imposed Deadline; Censors Info Detailing Links Between Wuhan Institute of Virology and Covid-19 Pandemic

Impeachment is only remedy for willful law-breaking by Joe Biden

Update: "The Biden admin has released a summary of US intelligence on the links between China’s Wuhan Institute of Virology and COVID-19. But by not revealing the names of the WIV scientists who fell ill in November 2019, President Biden is in violation of the law he signed."

The Biden presidency shows defining features of its administration this June: Arrogance, and a tendency to deceive.

Now, Joe Biden has veered into intentional law-breaking, in defiance of an unanimously passed act of Congress enacted to deter this administration's lack of candor and transparency on the most deadly Pandemic in United States history.

The latest illustration concerns the COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023, unanimously passed by Congress last Spring, and signed into law by President Biden March 20, 2003, under heavy political pressure.

The COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023 is an exacting law, that demands administration release by deadline, June 19, 2023, of facts pertaining to the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), including links to the origin of the COVID-19 Pandemic.

The Biden administration missed the June 19, 2023 release deadline, with no public comment.

The COVID-19 Act's demands include Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV) scientists' names, dates of events and even specific symptoms of three WIV researchers who reportedly fell ill with Covid 19 in Nov. 2019 —  Ben Hu, Yu Ping, and Yan Zhu.

These three WIV researchers were the first three people to contract COVID-19, the long-sought patients zero, a fact kept secret by the administration, but made public by intelligence leaks to Michael Shellenberger, Matt Taibbi and Alex Gutentag in the journal, Public.

On Friday night, June 23, five days after the law mandates, the administration released a summary of what it claims are its finding, consisting of information already in the public domain, clearly violating the letter of the law.

The administration claims reasons of "national security" may impact the administration's compliance with the law, stating, Biden will "share as much of that information as possible, consistent with my constitutional authority to protect against the disclosure of information that would harm national security," in his March 20, 2030 White House signing Statement by the President on S. 619, the COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023.

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) June 23, 2023 press release is reproduced below:

The Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) today released “The Potential Links Between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the Origin of the COVID-19 Pandemic” report.

The COVID-19 Origin Act of 2023 required the Intelligence Community to declassify information relating to potential links between the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the origin of the COVID-19 pandemic.

ODNI submitted the report to Congress, and it can be viewed here.

As this response by the Biden administration is obviously flouting the law, one hopes House Republicans begin steps towards an impeachment.

Michael Shellenberger's immediate response is below:
