Update: United Wisconsin to Recall Scott Walker annouces "volunteers from every corner of the state are turning in over 1,000,000 petition signatures to recall Scott Walker."
MADISON – United Wisconsin today announced that more than one million Wisconsinites have signed a petition to recall Scott Walker, representing the most-participated-in major recall effort in American history, and a number so significant that it is beyond any legal challenge. More then 845,000 signatures were collected for Rebecca Kleefisch. Signatures were submitted to the Government Accountability Board this afternoon.
The signatures represent the largest recall effort in the history of the United States and 185 percent of the signatures needed to trigger a recall of Walker.
John Nichols writes, "Recall Walker movement today files signatures from the highest portion of a state's electorate to seek a governor's removal in U.S. history."

A 3:00 PM CST announcement is scheduled today. Leaks might come earlier.
Hundreds of thousands of Republicans, Democrats, Greens and independents are expected to unite today as Recall Scott Walker signatures are delivered to the Wisconsin Government Accountability office in Madison.
Wisconsin’s 2012 voting age population of some 4,372,347 will likely see at least one of every six citizens signed the Recall petitions circulated during the busy 2011-12 holidays' season of the last 60 days.
Stay tuned for announcements and numbers, as security has been employed to protect the Recall petitions now resting in an undisclosed location, and which together comprise a weight of more than 3,000 pounds.
Despite the holiday season, criminal harassment, this grassroots effort by Wisconsin families will make American history today.
