Obama's Sad Show at the UN

Not since George W. Bush have I watched a parade of self-conscious lies and non sequiturs emitted before the world as President Obama's address before the U.N. General Assembly.

The people of Palestine must be denied a state because "peace is hard."

Who is being cited here? Thomas Jefferson? I guess I have a different reading of classical liberalism and human rights.

One supposes Obama believes the political calculation that picking up the support of the Lobby is worth a few lies, and the denial of liberty for a couple of decades longer.

But then one has to believe that even as president, Obama really has not been keeping up with current events.

How long does he believe the Street will take this?

During this obscene address denying human rights to an entire people, Obama had the audacity to quote from General Assembly’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
And Article 1 of this General Assembly’s Universal Declaration of Human Rights reminds us that, 'All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and in rights.'
Mr. President, we know you're more intelligent than President Bush; but "free," "equal," "dignity," and "rights"?

Don't use big words you don't understand.

Shame.
