Update: Updates on Massachusetts Senate race at Blue Mass and Boston.Com. Early turn-out is high, good for Dems.
Whatever happens tonight in the Massachusetts Senate race, one thing is clear: The political status quo of business as usual and Congress spinning its wheels is not appealing to the American public.
Will Sen. Harry Reid (D-NV) and Senate Democrats choose to support Republican obstruction (for which Democrats are then blamed) by keeping the undemocratic relic known as the filibuster?
Will President Obama follow the economic and monetary counsel of White House economic advisers Lawrence Summers and Treasury Secretary Timothy Guitner vis a vis Simon Johnson, Paul Krugman and Joseph Stiglitz?
Which way forward, Democrats?
You can't run on change during a time of immense and numerous crises and then respond with more of the same. Out of touch.
